Tech line recommended that i replace the Yoda and Genesis boards to resolve. I changed out the genesis and yoda controls and retested. Verified issue is still present. I further confirmed that if either door is open all lights stay on, and triggering the freezer door switch only shuts off the user interfaces. Called tech line again and spoke with travis. travis said to check the J5 connector on the Gemini board and make sure pink is in terminal 1, Grey terminal 2, and double check proper polarity at the outlet. Arrived on site for a microwave that is tripping the breaker immediately as the breaker is turned on. Inspected unit and work area. Checked the interlock switches for continuity and found the right upper interlock switch would not move. Went to remove the interlock assembly and found the screw for the interlock stripped. Attempted to remove the screw anyway and found all of my bets were continuing to strip out the interlock screw. Replaced that one switch and tested the unit. Still had the same issue. Checked all other switches and found the other side switch always showing continuity regardless of door position. Spoke to JC and was advised that we would need to drill out the screw and replace the screw with the interlock screws. "Drive down site for the washing machine that is flashing an F0 E7 (load detected during a clean washer cycle) error code. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that they were able to clear that code and have since understood what that means but that they had heard some abnormal sounds coming from their washer. She also explained that she was having water dripping at the front right corner of her washer during the last spin. I ran the unit through an auto test in the unit rate as designed. The customer ran a load of clothes, and I finished through the first wash and spin. Could not detect any abnormal sounds present in her washer. During the spin portion of the cycle, did notice that water was pulled inside of the bleach dispenser, bezel, as the unit was spinning and vibrating, found little droplets were dropping on top of the Tub ring and were creating water droplets on the floor. Spoke to JC and was advised that the water droplets may be caused due to the bezel, but that the other issue may be that because the unit has hot water running to it during a white cycle, moisture may be building up on the top of the cabinet and dripping down towards the front. "Arrived on site to diagnose washer that was not draining. On arrival found F9E1 code for no drain. Customer lifted unit prior and pump kicked on. I tried to drain and got no response from pump. Manually drained with transfer pump. I can get the drain pump to kick on if I awake the harness, indicating a broken or bad connection in the wiring harness. Ordering harness / pump to resolve. "WOC54EC0HS20 Arrived to inspect microwave not working. Upon initial inspection, I found the interior microwave light would not illuminate when the door was opened. Inspection revealed one of the leads in the previously installed interlock kit was on the incorrect microswitch spade and I corrected. I found the interlock W11033422 sent out was for a different model and the W11555169 that had been installed prior, was correct. I traced all connections per MFG documentation and after ensuring proper routing, powered the unit while removed from the mounting and found all functions to be present. The door having to be pressed on to get the unit to work, which was the initial customer complaint, is caused fully by the units mounting into the cabinet. The front lower vent does not have enough clearance and is causing the entire body of the machine to lean back into the cabinet at the top, pressing on the upper, outer microwave door opening flanges and preventing the usual and expected door operation. The unit will require shimming material placed directly under the left and right feet, at full depth into the cabinet, to correct the issue. Due to the interior bulb being out and the main microwave fuse being blown, we will return and place the customer provided shims under the unit. Microwave is working at this time. "Arrived on site to inspect range oven not turning off. Upon further inspection, I found the unit with power as the display was on. Customer advised that when they went to bake a pizza and the item was done, they attempted to turn the unit off and it failed to turn off so the customer had to turn the unit off at the breaker. I tested the unit on bake at 350 degrees and after preheat I pressed the stop key and the unit turned off. I tested the unit on convection bake at 350 degrees and after preheat I pressed the stop key and the unit failed to turn off. I cycled power at the breaker and was able to get the unit to turn off. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked error codes and found F2E1-stuck key. Cleared the code and advised the customer of my findings. I contacted the manufacturer Safety Team and spoke to Kelly and advised of my findings and part to be ordered. Kelly advised all info to be documented on SR#7736163674. When it turn off at set temperature it had a hard time re-igniting, it took serval times for the unit to ignite the bake burner. I called and talked to wp and to chase, ended up repositioning the ignitor closer to the burner. Retested the unit and it ignited on the first spark every time. No gas leaks detected during service."

"KCGS556ESS05 Arrived to inspect constant ignition clicking. I found the unit would not stop attempted igniting and I disassembled and inspected. I found the switch assembly incorrectly installed and after correcting, the sparking issue was resolved. During reinstallation, I found the cabinet cutout somewhat larger than required. This caused the unit to sit on the upper cover, vs the common installation of on the main chassis. I advised the customer of my findings and that shimming may be necessary if issues persist. No gas leaks detected during service."

"KDTE204KPS1 Arrived to inspect unit not starting. Service test mode attempt showed a 7-2 error, shortly after starting and all error mode slots registered the same error. I tested from the control to the motor and found 16.9-17.1 ohms between all three lines of the variable speed motor. I removed and replaced the control and tested. The issue did not resolve and I disassembled the pump for inspection. I found a piece of foreign plastic debris, from an unknown source, had lodged within the impeller and once removed, the motor turned freely. Reassembly and thorough testing showed the issue to be fully resolved. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

"MVW7232HW Arrived to instal previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Prior to part changeout, I flipped the unit back and used a jump cord to drain the water, after finding the pump at 19.7 ohms. After the water was removed, additional inspection revealed the gear case has been leaking oil and will require replacement. Service test mode showed F3E2 stored and the unit attempted flood stage draining. I was able to avert the extended drain and then recalibrated the unit to attempt to allow the customer use, prior to our return. I ran it through a test mode and it passed. During testing, I found debris had lodged in the air dome and may have caused the flood stage issue. Returning tech will need to clear and re-test the air dome prior to service completion. No leaks observed during service. The customer has an extended warranty and the unit is not in MFG warranty. They will contact the warranty company to have us dispatched to complete the repairs."

KFEG500ESS6 Arrived to inspect burning odor and pop noise. I found the terminal block hardware had been left completely loose by the installers. I removed and replaced the terminal block and hardware and tested. The unit heated and cycled as designed and additional thermal imagery of the terminal block and associated wiring revealed no additional hot spots that would denote connection issues. Operational test good.

"ADB1400AGS1 Arrived to inspect washability and detergent not dissolving/dispensing issues. There were no stored error codes within service test mode and I found the unit filled and circulated well. The dispenser could be heard and was visibly confirmed, fully opening. The element, when tested with circulating water, drew 9.8 amps initially and as expected, then quickly descended to 8.3 amps. Dry testing was 9.4 descending to 3.6 amps, which is well within MFG specifications. There were no test mode errors generated upon completion. The only mechanical issues were the lower spray arm was not fully attached in the back of its mount and the rinse agent was set to the highest level. Discussion with the customer revealed they do pre-rinse and have city water. They were using pre-measured pods and I advised them the amount of detergent within the pods is too much, by many times and to use one TBSP of automatic dishwasher detergent, as a starting point, to prevent the formation of excessive sudsing, which can severely limit the flow of water, especially in non-diverter equipped models. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

Arrived onsite for refrigerator leaking from left side. Upon arrival inspected unit. Unit in warehouse. No water connections. Removed compressor compartment cover and inspected water lines from rear of unit to valve and valve to lines underneath. No signs of broken lines. "JBRFR36IGX00 Arrived to correct air leak issue. The cabinet installers had returned and corrected the left side of the cabinet and had reinstalled the screws for the unit, leaving it in a plumb condition (image attached.) the right side was not corrected and the refrigerator cabinet was still too far back in the lower right corner, by approximately 7/16. Utilizing mechanical assist, I was able to pull the lower right corner out the distance required to put the refrigerator chassis back to square and verified plumb (image attached) after the correction was complete. I advised the customer the door seals will take a few days to conform to the corrected position and to ensure positive door closing for that short duration. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

I inspected the auger and the bucket and they looked in perfect condition. I emptied the ice bucket and found a medium size block of Ice. Removed the block of ice and cleaned the auger for any ice and re-installed the bucket and tested, unit is dispensing ice as designed. I called the customer and explained that the bucket needs to be emptied once a week for better performance as ice will melt when door opens and then will freezer back up into a ball of ice. "Arrived on site for a dryer that is producing a burning plastic smell. Inspected unit and work area. Ran the unit through a normal high heat cycle and did confirm an odd smell coming from the dryer. Disassembled the unit and could not find any wires burned or anything stuck in the element housing producing the smell. Found no evidence of anything burning inside of the dryer. I called whirlpool techline and spoke to Joe SR# 7736209996. He advised that since there was no visible damage inside the unit or burning evidence, we could not conclude that the dryer was the actual issue. He advised that the issue could be from lint burning inside of the heater housing, something couldve been burned prior to, and its taking a little while to get rid of, or could be smells from the outside, if the venting flap outside of the wall was left open causing abnormal smells. Either which way, he advised that there was no repairs that could be done to this unit and to have the customer run a couple loads with some bounce sheets to alleviate the smell. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a wash machine. That is not washing clothes properly and is going off balance. Inspected unit and work area. Were on the unit through diagnostics and found an F0 E3 (overload) error code. Ran the unit through an auto test and found that during agitation, the unit was spinning the entire basket instead of just the agitator. Checked underneath and found that the cam was not connected to the shifter, causing the issue. Reconnected the cam to the actuator and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Also found the tub resting against the front and right side walls. Adjusted the feet on the washer to ensure proper spacing for the tub. Call complete."

Arrived on site for a cooktop. That is not turning on the right element. Inspected unit and work area. Did confirm the customers complaint and remove the cooktop. "WVU37UC0FS1 Arrived to inspect light issue. The customer was concerned there were no other setting of the lights, other than on or off. I verified via the manual that the unit does not have medium or other settings and tested. Operational test good."

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator that is not producing ice. Upon inspection I found that the ice maker would harvest when run in diag mode same with the fill function. Found no codes for the ice maker. Upon further inspection I found that the right door upper hinge was loose and caused the door not to seal properly causing temperatures not to reach the proper level to make good ice. I contacted this and checked the fill tube and found that it was not frozen. I also found moisture in the freezer i she that the door was sealing and it wasnt I adjusted the door and the chassis to get a good seal and advise customer off what I found and done. Job complete

Arrived onsite to install previously diagnosed/ordered pat. Upon arrival I installed the new tub and tested the unit and found unit operating as designed no leaks

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator with water building up below the two middle drawers. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit is continuing to do the same thing with water building up under the two deli drawers and proceeded to remove the deli drawers. I found a small amount of water on the bottom panel of the RC section. Also found a small amount of ice built up on the left side of the evaporator cover from water that has been collecting during defrost as a result of not being able to flow to the drain tube on the right side. I found the shim on the right side of the evap,drip pan had been moved and was not leveling the pan to allow the water to flow properly. The customer advised that they were previously advised about the disclaimer from management at the previous service call. I explained the issues weve been finding with this particular unit and recommended the customer not go forward with any repairs and it will be costly and once parts are installed, they cannot be removed and refunded. I tested temps in the FC=5 degrees and RC=37 degrees. The unit is currently operating as designed minus the water in the bottom of the RC section. Customer agreed to not repair the unit and signed for the receipt. No water leaks observed during service other than the water in the fresh foods section, job completed."

Arrived on site to test unit for shutting itself off. Found in diagnostics unit was not draining properly. Found drain tube was about 3ft into drain pipe. Advised 4 1/2 inches is the recommended amount of tubing recommended to be inserted into drain pipe. Cut drain hose back and secured with zip ties. Completed diagnostics with no issues. N ok leaks detected. Job complete.

Arrived on site to test unit for leaking. Found overflow pan was full of very soapy water. Showed customer how soapy water indicates over sudsing. Removed water from pan and customer was running unit empty to attempt to mimic leak. Found no high drain loop installed. Installed high drain loop and advised customer to stop using pods and switch to liquid soap as soft water is causing unit to over sud and leaks suds into over flow pan and past lip of tub. Also advised to run periodic cleaning cycles to help prevent soap build up. Job complete.

Arrived on site to test unit for chalky substance on dishes. Found customer is using rinse aid and pods. Found calcium build up on heating element. Home does not have a soft water or water filtration system. Advised white residue is calcium build from hard water. Customer has dishwasher running and she stated this is only the 3rd time using. Advised to run empty cycle with white vinegar to removed any calcium build up in water supply lines as water has been sitting during building of home and needs to be flushed through. No leaks detected. Job complete.

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator with low ice production. Customer said they were only getting a handful of cubes daily. I checked temps and found RC at 37, and FC got to 5 before I left. I tested the icemaker and verified it was working properly. Called tech line and spoke with Butch, SR7736210059. Unit has a minimum of 100 minute harvest time, which increases with usage, and is dependant on temp. I advised the customer of my findings and what to expect as far as production. Advised to keep airflow channel clear to allow for proper circulation to allow temps to maintain. No further failures found at this time. Customer will follow up if they do not get increased production. Call complete."
