I checked for error codes and found the unit had an off balance and long fill code. Tested unit and found cold water trickling in slow. Removed hose and found an excessive amount of sediment in the valve clogging it up. Removed the sand and sediment and retested. Verified proper operation. "Arrived on site to diagnose range that had died during preheat. Checked wiring at terminal block and harness. Found wiring was all good, with no burns or exposed /wiring. Tested unit and found after a couple minutes breaker would trip. Reset breaker and retested. Breaker tripped again a couple minutes later. Reset again and unit finished preheating and cycling fine. Could not get breaker to trip again. Found breaker was actually a GFCI breaker for the 240v range. Called into tech line SR7734899449. Advised tech line of my findings and the fact it's a GFCI for a 240v appliance. Tech Line advised that if I couldn't find any part failures and it finished the preheat its likely the breaker tripping due to being sensitive/elements cycling with voltage draws. Unit is working as designed. Advised customer the unit is not designed to run on GFCI circuits, and an electrician may need to resolve. Call complete."

Upon further inspection, I tested the door function and when I opened the door to 90 degrees and let go, the door attempted to close on its own. I pulled the unit out and found the door hinge friction pads were missing. I installed both friction pads to each hinge and tested door operation and the door stays open at 90 degrees now. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested. The unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I checked to see if the interior light would come on when opening the door and it failed. I removed the control panel and tested voltage at the control and got zero volts. I removed the terminal block cover and found the L1 had shorted out with the neutral on the main harness (photo). I was going to repair the harness, but found the terminal block was melted and could not be reused. I tested the fuse, cutoff, thermostat and element and all are good. "Arrived on site to inspect dryer not heating. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit and found the element not getting energized. I disassembled the unit and then tested voltage at the wall and got 248V. Once disassembled, I found the bottom right element connection shorted. I tested the cutoffs, thermostats and element and found the thermostat was bad. I removed and replaced the thermostat and re-wired the element harness and reassembled the unit. Tested the airflow to the unit and both tests failed (photos). I tested the heat function in a timed dry setting and the unit is operating as designed. I recommended that the customer have their vents checked/cleaned. No lint observed during service, job completed."

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they were using the top oven and some butter splashed onto the broiler and started a fire and they were unable to get the broiler to work. I tested the upper oven broiler and the ignitor illuminated and within 20 seconds, the burner ignited. I could smell the butter burning off. I tested a few more times and each time the broiler came on. I tested the warmer/Bake function and it too is operating as designed.No gas leaks detected during service, job completed."

Arrived onsite for a double wall oven making a loud noise when the upper oven is used. The CX described the noise to be the convection fan when it cycles on. I inspected the convection fan and found the nut loose that holds the fan blade on. I tightened the nut and made sure the blade fins were even and balanced. I tested the oven and it sounded normal until about 5 minutes after preheat then when the fan cycled on the unit was making a loud metal on metal vibration sound. I found the screws loose that hole the inner wall to the motor plate at the back of the oven. I tightened those screws. I also found the rear panel on both top and bottom oven bowed inward and I removed and reinstalled to get them to bow outward. I rerouted the seal tight to keep it from pressing against the rear of the oven. I then tested in convection bake at 400 degrees and the unit sounded normal 10 minutes after preheat was reached. Call complete.

"Arrived to inspect heating issue with MED7230HW1 . I verified acceptable venting and then tested in timed dry. The unit heated very slowly, only reaching 130 degrees after 1.5 min. I verified correct L1 and L2 VAC throughout the expected circuit and inspected the element. I found the element had failed and then contacted the divider, completing one leg of VAC anytime the motor operated. I removed and replaced the heater assy and tested. The unit heated and cycled as designed and the internal temperature rise and fall rates, measured at the lint filter intake were 29 seconds up to 216F and 1 minute, 24 seconds down to 124F. The temperatures were as expected with no garments, but the slower temperature drop denotes a high likelihood of a moderately restricted venting system and I recommend having the venting professionally checked and cleaned.
