Arrived on site for washer not spinning clothes out of the way. Upon arrival found F085 area code. I have been found cause of failure was the hub Drive sailing not allowing it to grab onto the gear case shaft and spend the clothes out of the way. I made repair and found washer fully functioning as designed with no leaks.

Arrived on site for trash compactor ram hitting the top of the unit. I inspected the unit and work area. I found the ram hitting the top of the unit. I gained access to the switch and found it failed allowing the ram to move above the switch position. I installed a new switch. I held it down manually so the ram would come back down. I reassembled the unit and tested it a couple of times. It is now working as designed.

Upon further inspection, I tested the ice dispenser and ice began to dispense but then after approximately 5 seconds, it stopped but I could hear the motor turning. When I opened the left RC door, I found the ice bin had moved outward from the ice box and was not making connection with the auger yoke. I found one of the clips on the ice box housing was broken and the ice bin could not latch properly causing it to be pushed outward by the auger yoke. I advised the customer that the ice box is not a repairable part and made some recommendations on ways to secure the ice bin. Also found the ice chute gasket badly worn

Arrived onsite for LID IS BROKEN AGAIN. LEFT SIDE OF LID IS BREAKING FROM WHERE THE HINGE IS. Upon arrival found the lid has failed at the left hinge. Need to replace the lid. Replaced the lid.

"Arrived to inspect ice production issue. I tested the FC compartment and found it at 6?F and the RC was 38? The fans did not operate as expected. When entering service test mode, the compressor did not shut down as it should and manual activation of the ice box fan was fruitless. I found a wet spot on the back of the chassis and internally it was very damp, water beading throughout the RC chamber. I found the wiring for the crisper had failed and I repaired it. The unit resumed all functions and operated as designed. CX will defrost the unit for 48 hours. No leaks observed during service.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making noise during the cycle and will not complete cycles. Inspected unit and work area. Ran the unit three diagnostics and found an F7 E5 (shifter fault) error code. I ran the unit through an auto test and found the unit struggling during agitation and spin. Checked in at the unit and found the gear case drive shaft had dropped causing the failure and had caused damage to both belt and cam. Attempted to remove the agitator just to be sure we could fix the unit and found the agitator seized onto the gear case. I advise the customer of the issue and told her we would need to order a basket, tub, cam, hub assembly, filter, gearcase, agitator, and screws for repair. I did explain to the customer that the tub and basket would be covered under whirlpool extended warranty but the rest she would have to cover. The customer advised that she was hoping that this issue would be a small repair and did not want to move forward with such a big repair. She advised that she would just rather purchase yourself a new unit at this time.

Arrived on site to diagnose a microwave that isn't heating properly. Found capacitor shorted and replaced it. Tested unit and found all is functioning properly at this time.

I removed the control panel and the top panel and tested continuity at the control panel harness and it was good. I tested voltage at the J101 pin 2&3 on the control and got 121V. I tested voltage at the same connector pins 1&3 and got 122V. The diagnostics LED was not on. Removed and replaced the main control and tested and unit is operating as designed. Upon further inspection, I immediately contacted techline to discuss previous repairs and recommendations per SR##7734766772. While on hold, I tested temps in the RC section. My readings were FC=8, RC=39 setting, RC:middle=42, Top=53, Bottom=44, Large pantry pan=36, Right crisper pan assembly=43, Left crisper pan assembly=42, Platter shelf=41. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked the Maximum, Minimum, and Average temps as saved in the system. Those readings were MAX: test 23=RC=84, test 24=FC=87, test 25-pantry=86, test 26-ice box=87; MIN: test 33-RC=32, test 34-FC= -20, test 35-pantry=29, test 36-ice box= -13; AVE: test 28-RC=37, test 29-FC=4, test 30-pantry=35, test 31-ice box=7. I checked the thermistor readings in tests 1-5. My readings were Test 1: RC=41, 2: FC=9, 3: RC evap=16, 4: FC evap=14, 5: Pantry=35. Once techline answered, I spoke to Drew and advised of the complaint, the history on the unit and my findings. I provided the SR# to Drew and he requested the thermistor resistance readings from the control molex connector. I provided FC thermistor=16.47 kohms, RC thermistor=6.97 kohms. Drew advised that the readings were pretty close to perfect. Drew advised to not replace any parts as the unit is operating as designed. He advised to discuss with the customer the importance of keeping high moisture fruits and vegetables in produce bags in the crispers per Engineering Dept. Drew advised that if the customer did not agree with the recommendations to have them contact customer support and provide the SR# and allow customer support to handle the call. Drew advised the info provided today would be documented on the same SR#7734766772. I advised the customer of my findings and my conversation with the manufacturer and recommended they contact customer support with their concerns. No parts replaced today. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived to inspect continuing issues with flame height. I inspected the unit again and found that when flow requirement is increased from additional burners, the overall flame height of all burners is reduced. Having replaced the regulator already, the issue could have been from the supply or within the chassis. After further testing, found at some point during installation of the unit, the non-factory but acceptable due to installation, 90? elbow added in between the manifold entry and regulator had two pieces of debris within it. The debris was a wire nut and washer and was likely put in there during installation. I removed the debris and tested and the unit then operated as designed. I tested all gas connections that I interacted with and found no signs of any leaks upon completion of service. Operational test good."

Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not washing clothes well. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the issue with the washer is that the washer does not fill high enough and thus does not submerge all of her clothes in the washer. She advised that she does notice that unit will complete each cycle but shes having to wash loads twice sometimes in order to get them actually clean. Ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored air codes. I ran the unit through an auto test twice and the unit ran as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Scott SR# 7735034302 . He had me run a calibration on the unit and advised there is nothing more we can do on this washer due to all components working as designed. He advised the issue would have to be a use and care issue otherwise. Went over Techlines findings with the customer and the unit is working as designed. Call complete.

"Arrived to instal previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Upon inspection, I found the chassis was forced into the cutout due to the lower front of the cabinets not being prepped properly. This caused the chassis to be warped and it was evident from the venting at the top of the microwave door having a droop due to pressure applied at the sides, causing the vent to buckle. The lower front border at the bottom front of the unit was incorrectly cut out, causing the vent to press against it. The sides of the cabinet board that was cut incorrectly, show movement back from the pressure of the chassis pressing back and binding. The CX has been having issues with the door and required additional closing attempts the get it to operate and to shut the interior light off, which is an indication of the warped chassis. I advised the CX that the cabinet issue will need to be corrected before and further repair maybe attempted and likely not required."

Recommended lowering settings to level 2 when not stocked and raising back to level 3(recommended when fully stocked. Also running the dispenser at least once daily will keep line from freezing. Arrived onsite for a refrigerator that the drawer does not lock into place. The CX stated that the middle drawer and shelf comes out of place when opening the drawer or putting anything heavy on the shelf. The bottom shelf and the middle shelf are the same part number so I swapped them to see if it would lock into place on the middle section and had the same results with it coming out. I pushed both shelves against the left side of the liner and measured the gap on the right side between the shelf and liner. The middle shelf has a 7/16 gap and the bottom shelf has a 1/4 gap. I called techline and spoke with Sterling SR# 7735034825. Unit is getting sent up for product review. I called the customer and let them know. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for dishwasher not stopping. I found out from the customer the unit would. It start. I put the unit through a diagnostics cycle and found fault code F4e4 wash motor error. I tested the motor from the control and found 17.2 ohms across all 3 windings. I tested voltage from the control to the motor and found it dropping to 60 vac. I found good voltage to the control. I replaced the control and retested the unit. The unit filled, and the wash motor came on it, drained and the heating element activated. Job complete."

I verified the model nu,her and found it falls under service pointer W11540964 for the heater replacement. I out the unit into diagnostics and found fault codes F8e2 inlet valve electrical problem fae2 vent wax motor electrical problem. I ran a diagnostics cycle and found the unit filling. When the wash motor came on I could hear the motor making a loud humming noise. When the cycle got the activating the vent wax motor it shut off. I found the motor out of range. The unit will need a new heating element which is covered under the special project code S17304. It will also need a vent wax motor and sump assembly, ordrng 1 W11416362 (Sump assembly) and 1 W11414073 (Vent wax motor) and 1 W11537778 (Heater)"

Arrived onsite for a range with the element out. The customer had the lower oven disassembled and the ignitor was bad. The Service Matters part number subs to the wrong part. "Arrived on site for Samsung washer leaking. I inspected the unit and work area. I found the below torn in the upper left corner. Arrived on site for KitchenAid cooktop front right burner not igniting properly. I inspected the unit and work area. I tested the front right burner and found it hard to ignite and doesnt carry over very well to the main burner. I pulled the burner apart and found the orfice holder restricted and the tension spring loose. I tested the other burners and adjust the valves. On the center burner I found the tension spring missing all together. I cleaned the orfices and found it lighting. ordrng 2 W10554297 (Spring)s and 1 W11173537 (Front right holder)

Arrived onsite for a dryer that only clicks when start is pressed. I found the belt broken. The rollers and idler check good. The vent is completely stopped up with lint and I advised the CX to get it cleaned and referred them to the Dryer Vent Wizard. Ordering the belt. Office to RS. CX paid the diagnostics fee; ordrng 1 WE03X29897 (Belt)

"Arrived on site to test unit for not cooling in RC and RC ice maker not working, tested unit found damper in cooling tower not cycling properly, ice maker has lost its home position, attempted to reset but still unresponsive, ordrng 1 243297613 (Rc ice maker) and 1 5304510255 (Air tower)"

"Arrived to inspect ice not being produced. I found the ice maker valve was restricted and the CX will replace it. During inspection I noted the RC drip pan fractured in two places and it will require replacement. The RH RC door gasket was torn and will be replaced upon return. "Arrived on site for refrigerator, inspected unit and work area. CX complaint unit frozen. Took temps at arrival FC 37?, RC 60? unit was turned off from the control. Tested the rails and they seem to be working fine. Tested the defrost and had no voltage to heater. Tested the bi-metal and was good, ohmed the heater and was also good. "Arrived on site for a washer that has issues with the control panel. Inspected unit and work area. Did confirm that the user interface was attempting to light up with short circuit and kept reef setting itself. Found the washer is a washer that has a dryer stacked on it. Remove the top cover and went to replace the user interface. Found rodent damage done to the wire harness leading to the user interface. Ordering the NTC harness and upper harness due to an ability to determine which harness was the correct one leading to the user interface. Did speak with SRN did confirm those would be the only two harnesses that could be the harness for the UI. "Arrived on site to follow up on refrigerator that had lost cooling. Customer advised that the unit lost cooling in both compartments and they heard a consistent clicking coming from the rear of the unit. They unplugged for 3 days. Unit was turned on again this morning. On arrival I found it was cooling properly, but the compressor was scalding hot, likely locking up due to heat causing their failure. "Arrived onsite for Not Cooling. Upon arrival unit is unplugged. Restored power to unit. Condenser fan and compressor turned on. Compressor is pulling .58 amps. Removed evaporator cover. Evaporator fan is operating. Found frost only forming at capillary tube and top corner of evaporator only. There is a restriction and will need a sealed system repair. Ordering compressor,evaporator, uv drier, access valve, nitrogen, and R600 kit.
