"Arrived on site for a microwave that is catching fire and has melted the turntable support. Inspected unit and work area. Confirm the customers complaint and found the glass missing. The customer advised that they had cooked popcorn on the popcorn sitting in that the bad caught fire and blew up the turntable plate and support. They advise that since then, theyve been using it intermittently and have had the turntable support catch fire again three times. Found evidence of burning inside of the microwave cavity and the turntable support melted onto the motor. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Rich SR# 7735165241. He asked if the customer had put the unit on the popcorn setting and walked away. The customer advised that that when they had come back to the unit, the popcorn was on fire. Rich explained that this cant happen and that manufacturers of popcorn have advise not to use the popcorn setting due to issues with burning and situation such as these. He advised that the customer needs to stay in front of the microwave while the popcorn is cooking to stop the cycle when the popping decreases indicating the popcorn is done. Advise this issue was a user error issue only and had me send photos of the damage. He advised that the unit can be repainted and replace the support and motor but they will always have a burnt popcorn smell due to the smoke that was omitted throughout the entire microwave. He did advise for me to contact the safety team to determine what they wanted to do. I called whirlpool safety team and spoke to Lashawnda Sr# 7735111481. She advised that since the unit was 7 years old, they would not be able to assist with any repairs at this time. I spoke to the customer about Techlines findings. The customer advised that he does not want to make any repairs to this unit and is going to contact whirlpool to see if they can help them out with any part of a cost of a new unit. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to inspect oven time not keeping. Upon further inspection, I found the unit not connected to wifi and the date/time were incorrect. I assisted the customer with down.aiding the manufacturer app on their phone and then connecting the unit to WiFi. Tested the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and the unit is operating as designed. I provided the customer with the manufacturer wifi team contact info for future issues with the wifi connections. Job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect washer not draining. Upon further inspection , I found the tub full of water and I cleared it out. Placed the unit in diagnostics and manually tested the drain pump and found it faulty. Finished removing the water from the unit using my shop vac and tilted the unit back and removed the drain pump. I found sand/dirt debris inside the pump area restricting the empellar from turning and pumping the water out. I replaced the drain pump and retested and unit is operating as designed. I made recommendations for use and care. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator with water gathering underneath the pantry drawers. Up inspection I found ice and water underneath the pantry drawer. Upon further inspection I found that there was ice buildup in the evap and the thermistor black with corrosion which can cause defrost issue. I also found that the drain tube was filed with ice as well. I removed the ice and made sure the filter head didnt have and leaks it did not. I ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F8 E1 (low/no water detected during fill) error code. Tested the cold water valve and found extremely low water volume coming into the unit. Tested the hot water valve and found proper water flow. Remove the cold water hose off the back of the valve and tested water flow through the drain pipe and found proper water flow. . The customer agreed to the repair for now but advised that he would be looking at potentially replacing as washer depending on pricing. While testing temps, I noticed the unit shut off and came back on and the UI showed PO error. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested in test 04. The operated as designed. I found ice at the bottom of the RC evap cover. I tested the thermistors and found the RC thermistor out of range. I tested the fans and both are functioning properly. I am ordering the fan scroll, thermistor kit, Hv control and UI and office to schedule return service. I recommended that the customer unplug the unit approximately 24-48 hours before I return and place towels around the unit to absorb any water that might leak. Arrived on site for a range that has surface burners that are not working. Inspected unit and work area. Customer advised that one of the screws came loose out of her infinite switch and she did not know how to put it back on. Reattach the screws to the infinite switch and tested the burner. The burner began to work and operate as designed. Tested all other burners and the customer advise the left front and the right front burners were having issues. She advised the left front burner did not turn off and will just stay on a high heat without turning off or regardless of setting. She also advised the right front burner will shut off within 10 seconds and will cycle back on and off but will not get anything hot. I did confirm both of those issues with the cooktop and Im gonna need infinite switches for both parts. Found the left front burner infinite switch was an out of stock and PSP item. Ordering the left front infinite switch and the office will need to contact the customer about a return date due to an out of stock and PSP item.; ordrng 1 WPW10434452 (Left front infinite switch)

Arrived onsite for unit not heating and timer not progressing. and found unit operating with gas valve shut off after having remodeling in the Landry room. Determined that all else is in good working order including the timer function.

"Arrived on site for cooktop, inspected unit and work area. CX complaint was both small burners not igniting. Tested unit and found the burner caps not properly installed. I swapped them and retested unit is now operating as designed. No leaks observed during service.

"Arrived to inspect intermittent water spraying after cycle complete. I found the soak button defective and in leu of replacing, the CX requested I disconnect it. Due to the type of connection and being able to simply unplug the connector from the low voltage supply at the control board, I was able to deactivate and secure the wiring, rendering the soak button inoperative. No leaks observed during service.

"Arrived to inspect no power. I found the unit would not power up and there was no voltage to any part of it prior to testing. I found that when tested at the terminal block, L1 was 0 VAC and L2 was 124 VAC. L1 to L2 showed the 124 as well. Direct outlet testing showed all correct voltages and I advised the CX the issue was within the wall receptacle and to contact a qualified electrician to correct.

Arrived onsite for a dishwasher not filling with water. The CX stated the detergent isnt dissolving. I tested the dishwasher and found an F4E3 and F7E1 error message. I found correct voltage to the pump but the motor would not run. I replaced the sump and motor assembly. I tested the unit and it is working as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator that temps are warming up. I check temp in the FC and it was at 1 degree. I tested temp in multiple spots in the RC and it ranged from 33-38 degrees. The CX thermometers are showing temps to be a little higher. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.

"Arrived on site to inspect dryer not drying clothing. Upon further inspection, I tested the airflow using my vent test kit and the first two,tests failed (photos). I retested without the vent tube connected at the back of the unit and it passed (photos). I demonstrated for my customer as well and explained the test and airflow. I removed the back panel and found the fuse, thermostat and cutoffs were good. The element tested good, but when I removed it to inspect, I found the middle metal plate was badly warped and it was a matter of time before it failed. I removed and replaced the element and tested. I recommended that the customer have their vents checked/cleaned before using the unit. No lint observed during service, job completed."

Arrived onsite and reset unit and calibrated for intermittent issue with short cycling. Was unable to replicate a problem while onsite. Unit is now operating as designed. Advised property manager.

Arrived onsite for a washer making a really loud noise. I found the unit would not go into diagnostics after I applied power. I found the in use light turning on after power was applied. Upon further testing I found the drain pump motor showing 1.3kohms. It appears the drain pump it defective and it took out the main control. Both would need to be replaced before any further testing could be performed.

Arrived onsite and found oven complaint of over heating and being inconsistent. Found upper oven calibrated 30 degrees offset. Found temp in keeping with offset and therefore overheating. Adjusted calibration accordingly. All checks good.

"Arrived onsite for dryer making noise. On inspection the idler pulley was noisy. Took unit apart and found that the support wheels, pulley need to be replaced and the belt. Replaced parts and tested unit. Unit operating as designed.

"Arrived on site to inspect microwave making a popping noise and stopped heating. Upon further inspection, i tested the microwave with my tester and found it not getting any heat. I pulled the unit out onto my oven dolly and removed the top panel. I found soot on the underside of the panel in the area where the control sits (photo). I gained access to the magnetron, capacitor and diode and tested. Found parts good. I tested the switches and all tested good, but the receptacles are badly burnt. Before I removed the switches I researched the interlocks and found them discontinued. I reassembled the unit and discussed my findings with the customer and advised that all controls and interlocks are discontinued.

"Arrived on site for oven not heating. Upon arrival confirmed issue. After testing I found igniter had failed

"Arrived on site for wall oven showing error code f6e0. I inspected the unit and work area. I found fault code on the oven side display. I entered diagnostics and found the fault code present. I power cycled the unit and cleared the fault code from diagnostics. I did a control reset, I tested both the oven and microwave. The microwave heated a cup of water and the oven got to a set preheat temperature of 350. I called and spoke to the customer. If the problem happens again I recommend replacing the oven UI WPW10312206.

Arrived on site for front load washing machine having a F9e1 error code. I inspected the unit and work area. I found the F9e1 long drain error code stored in the unit. I gained access to the drain pump and found the impeller broken and spinning freely from the motor.I installed the new drain pump. I tested the unit and found it working properly.

"Arrived onsite for a dryer that is tripping the breaker when started. Ms stated it was working fine at their old house. I found the unit on the new style GFCI breaker and the dryer is not wired correctly for them. I found one of the terminal block screws stripped. MS also stated they dented the top when it was installed because someone stood on it. I replaced the block and wired the unit correctly. I tested the machine and it is working as designed. I knocked the dent out of the top. I explained to the customer there are two small spots where the top was creased from them putting their knees on it and that cannot be repaired without replacing the entire top."

"Arrived onsite for Not Heating - DRUM TURNS - BURNING SMELL. Upon arrival customer stated that before unit stopped heating that the dryer would get really hot but clothes would be wet. checked polarity and is good. Test unit and there is no heat. Checked vent with vent test and test failed. Inspected element and is fractured. Test fuse and cut off and are good. Need to replace element. Replaced heater and test unit. Arrived on site for washer giving f27 still. Upon arrival confirmed issue and code. Found no air/water leaks. Ran two full normal operation one diagnostics tests after clearing error and couldnt get unit to replicate issue at all. Did however find large amounts of soap built up causing pressure sensor to not get correct readings. Instructed customer on previous ech findings and best ways to clear/remove soap for wash to continue functioning. Call complete

"Arrived on site for cooling complaint in fresh food section. Found weak air flow entering fresh food section,removed evaporator cover found no ice build up diagnosed a weak evaporator fan motor,replaced fan motor,powered unit on good air flow entering fresh food section.

"Arrived to inspect no cool. I found the shelf/evaporator at the second from the top had been ruptured. I was able to braze the steel tubing shut and bubble tested to 140 psi and found no leaks. I vacuumed the system and charged with the MFG prescribed 7.2 oz of refrigerant and tested. The unit operated as designed. No water connections to unit; used 1 WPW10143759 (Dye Drier), and 1 W11506635 (Service Port) from stock"

Arrived onsite for a range that intermittently will light in the bake cycle. I found the bake ignitor porcelain insulator cracked and causing the ignition to ground out at the chassis. I replaced the ignitor and tested the oven. All is working as designed. Call complete.

Arrived on site to diagnose a refrigerator that is leaking. Found fill line for icemaker not installed into icemaker fill cup causing issue. Reinstalled line properly and all is working properly at this time. No leaks were found after service was performed.

Arrived on site to diagnose a refrigerator that is making unusual noise. Found condensation freezing around fan blade causing noise. Removed condensation and tested unit and found all is functioning properly at this time. No leaks were found at time of service.

Arrived on site to diagnose an oven that is not heating properly. Found temp too low and adjusted calibration offset to compensate. Also remounted door handle. All is working properly at this time.

Arrived onsite for washer not completing cycle. Upon arrival inspected unit. Found unit would automatically shut off and restart when attempting to go into either an agitate or spin cycle. Found faulty control. Replaced control. Tested unit and unit is now functioning properly. Job complete

"Arrived onsite for dishwasher with issues. Talking with CX she thought that the flip up tines were broke because they were lose, she did realize that they flipped down. Show CX that it was designed that way so they could put larger items there is if it is flipped down. She said that was all the issues."

Arrived on site to test unit for light not working. Test unit and found control board sending correct voltage to light socket but light bulb was bad. Advised customer to get new light bulb warranty does not cover cosmetic parts job complete.

Arrived on site to install previous diagnose parts. I gained access to the sump and motor and replaced it with new. I reassembled the unit and tested it. It is now working as designed. Job complete

Arrived on site to test unit for buttons getting stuck. Found customer pushing buttons too far in causing buttons to stick behind panel. Was going to replace control but damaged in box. Advised customer to use palm of finger to push buttons to prevent over pushing and buttons sticking. Unit working as designed. Job complete.
