Arrived on site for KitchenAid commercial style range oven door opening while in use and the cooktop burners going out when the door is opened. I inspected the unit and work area. I adjusted and replaced the front left burner head since it was hissing after a while of use. I checked the door and chassis alignment and found the location the latch it mounted to is slight bent inward allowing the latch to warp out of the way when the oven is heated up allowing the switch to disengage. I called techline and spoke to Kurt I advised him of my findings and because of the chassis damage the unit will need to be replaced.

"Arrived on site to diagnose washer that is banging and walking when spinning. Examined unit and found its sitting in a drain dip in the floor, on several pieces of wood. I was able to situate the unit with leveling feet to get it to stop shaking. "KOCE500ESS11 Arrived to inspect temperature issues. The customer informed me they had an inspected out who tested the oven and claimed is was not heating correctly. I set the unit to 350?F and the unit claimed preheat at 314? and then Cycling temperatures were very erratic and the unit hovered near 325? for several minutes, much longer than expected. Due to the nature of the issue, I am ordering a UI, and it should be replaced with the sensor and main control upon return. ; ordrng 1 W11093254 (UI Control)"

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not completing cycles. Inspected unit and work area. Ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F7 E5 (shifter fault) and F8 E1 (low/no water detected during fill) error codes. I ran the unit through an auto test and found the cold water valve pulling in very little water and found the unit having a hard time shifting between agitation and spin. Found when the unit was draining that the unit was siphoning water back in due to a closed drain. Advise the customer to get away from the closed drain and quoted the customer for the cold water valve and actuator.Ordering the water valve and will return with the shifter.

Customer provided photos of the water sitting in the tray below the water dispenser/ice door. Customer advised that they dont get water from the unit, but do get ice. I tested the ice door and found it not sealing properly as there were dry water streaks around the opening of the door. I removed and replaced the ice door and retested and it is operating as designed. The customer pointed out that there is small pieces of ice at the opening of the ice maker fascia, which I found a piece the size of a dime on the right side the opening. I advised the customer to monitor the unit as this issue is intermittent and the same issue as they had with their previous unit that got replaced. Arrived onsite for a washer that is getting clothes stuck under the agitator and its causing the machine to error out. I found only the agitator spinning during the spin cycle and not engaging the basket. I found one side of the cam was not locked into the gear case and it caused the cams to jump past each other and not allow the teeth to mate and spin the basket. I installed the cam correctly and showed the customer it was working as I tested the machine. Call complete.

"Arrived onsite to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Replaced the broil orfice and tested the unit. Found the unit taking 17 minutes to reach 300?F and 18 minutes to heat up to 470?F. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Andy SR# 7735376311. He asked if I was trying to broil without preheating the oven on a bake cycle first. I advised him that I was. He explain that when the braille element has to heat up the entire cavity of the oven, it will take a pretty decent amount of time before the oven actually hits preheat on the broil. He explained that it could take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to reach proper temperatures if the bake cycle has not preheated the oven for the broil cycle. He advised that based on all this information, the unit is working as designed and advise the customer to contact customer service for any other complaints. The customer stated that according to the owners manual, the owners manual advises that it should only take five minutes to preheat before the broiling is ready and to place the dish in the center of the oven on the top or middle racks. Andy advise that again, that would be advisable if the oven had already been preheated. That does not apply to when the unit has been off for an extended period of time. He advised to make no repairs. I advised the customer of Techlines findings and the customer is going to contact customer service for further assistance. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for no ice. Found broken neutral wire at door hinge,removed sleeve repaired wire ran diagnostics icemaker passed harvest ran fill valve energized no water through door. Due to water sitting in line water line frozen no test to defrost line advised customer to defrost door at least 1 hrs with door open."

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator with the freezer not getting cold again and not making ice. I found the FC only getting to 31 degrees. I found the RC at 37 degrees and working as designed. I shut the unit down and set the 3 way to home position and found equalized pressures at 30 psi. I ran service test 4 and found the RC pressures at 10 psi low side and 140 psi high side. I found the FC low side pressure fluctuating between 6 and -10 psi and the high side fluctuating between 155 and 170 psi. I could hear the refrigerant flow stopping and starting thru the FC evaporator. In step 3 of test 4 the compressor pulled down to a 21 psi vacuum. I blew nitrogen thru the FC capillary tube and made sure it was clear. I replaced the drier and the 3 way valve. I vacuumed the system and it held vacuum for 45 minutes. I charged the system with 5.50 ozs of R134A. I ran test 4 again and tested pressures. RC low side 10 psi and high side 140 psi. FC low side 3 psi and high side 150 psi. The pressures were good but I could not hear a good refrigerant flow to the FC evaporator. I explained to the customer to monitor the FC temp with a thermometer and let us know how it does. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for a oven thats not going above 350 degrees. After speaking with the customer they stated they had a new build inspection and the inspector stated the oven was not getting hot enough. I tested the oven at 350 degrees and found from the fourth to the sixth cycle the oven was getting too hot and averaging 357 degrees. I put a -5 degree offset in the control and tested. The ovens average temp was at 351 degrees. The oven is working as designed. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for no power to the ice machine. On inspection when I pulled the unit out the power turn on the unit. When I moved the powe cord around the power would shut off. Gain access to the pump and tighten up the power cord connection. Reinstalled the unit back in the cabinet and it produced ice in about 20 minutes. Operating as designed and no water leaks detected during service.

"Arrived on site for fridge water dispenser not working. I inspected the unit and work area. I spoke to the customer and found out the dispenser Will intermittently not not dispense water. I gained access to the water reservoir and found the Evap cover not sealing along the foam seal. I removed the seals are reshaped the,. I add more seals W10387387, from truck stock, to the top of the evaporator cover In order to seal off air flow to the reservoir. The evaporator cover is now properly sealed. Job complete."

Arrived on site for dryer making noise .found idler pulley failed . Replaced pulley . Cleaned out lint in dryer . Unit is functioning normal. Highly recommended customer clean out exterior vent . Job complete

"Arrived on site for dishwasher handle coming loose. I inspected the unit and work area. I removed the inner door panel, I used loctite and tightened the set nut in place. I removed the set screws from the handle and applied loctite and tightened the set screws. So no of the nuts or screws will back out and the handle will stay rigid. Job complete."

"Arrived onsite for Safety valuation. Found 2 burnt marks on control board, 1 next to themEMI filter and the other 1 next to the right side of the board. I tested the drain pump and found it registered 2ohms, pump is bad it took out control board. Called talked with Elisa from safty and Scott from tech line. "Arrived on site to inspect range oven error codes. Upon further inspection, I found the unit unplugged; plugged it in and hit the cancel button on the control and shortly after the error code F910 appeared on the display and the door lock light was on. I unplugged the unit and tested the latch and it showed continuity. Plugged the unit back in and attempted to start a cleaning cycle and the unit failed. I advised the customer that the K901 relay on the control is welded and will need a new control. I am ordering the main control and office to schedule return service due to the availability of the part. I advised the customer the part would take approximately 5-7 business days to arrive, at which time, our office would call and schedule return service.
