KitchenAid Range Model KSGG700ESS1. Arrived onsite for the range that started smoking real bad when the oven was started and it’s coming from around the convection fan. I tested the oven and it is no longer smoking. I suspect that there was an extra amount of oil inside the cavity causing the issue. I removed the lower panel and the fan cover to make sure there was no packing in either place. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.

Ran manual test mode for high spin and found that the unit made a noise as if something was inside the tub. Stop test mode and checked inside the tub and found a penny in between the impeller and the basket. Removed the penny and tested unit again in manual mode on high spin and could not duplicate the noise. Advised customer of my findings. No water observed during service.
