Mr stated the control responded to off but the temp in the oven stayed around 270 degrees for 2 days. I checked the unit for stored error codes and found none. I heated the oven in bake and convection bake to test the unit. The oven worked as designed in both modes. I shut the oven down and it cooled down correctly. Mr stated that the cooling fan had kept running when the unit wouldn’t stop heating. I explained to mr that if this had happened, 2 relays had to have stuck closed but at this time the unit is working as designed.

Recovered system, replaced drier and added access valve on the compressor. Flushed system, pulled deep vacuum for 20 minutes, verified no leak per vacuum, recharged to specs on the high side. Customer to give unit 24-36 hours for it to get down to set temps.

REFRIGERATOR KITCHENAID KSSO48FMX01 Arrived onsite for the refrigerator not cooling correctly in the RC. I found the FC at -1 degrees and the RC at 50 degrees. I found the compressor running but not ramping up. I found the lights dimming and the evaporator fan turning off and on. I disconnected the fan and the compressor ramped up and the lights stayed on. I replaced the fan and tested the unit. The inverter box was giving 4 blinks now meaning there was a compressor failure. I tested the compressor and got 7.8 ohms across the windings meaning it was good. I replaced the inverter and tested the unit. The inverter no longer gave the error but now the control beeps and the lights dim but the compressor won’t come on. The control is shorted and needs to be replaced.

I found the unit working but shutting off at different levels. I tried blowing thru the pressure switch hose and could tell it was partially restricted. I cleaned the connection out at the trap on the tub. I filled the unit and drained it while blowing thru the hose. I tested the unit again and it is working as designed. I advised the customer to run a washing machine cleaner thru the unit to clean the tub and trap out. Call complete.

Unit went through test mode and operated as designed. I found that the unit was plugged into a GFCI outlet and was not plugged in all the way. I contacted Techline and spoke to Ed and explained my findings. Ed advised that the unit cannot be plugged into a GFCI outlet or be on a GFCI breaker. He provided During test mode, I verified amps to the element and in the process found that the right leg was badly bent causing the door to rub as its opened/closed. I advised the customer that I would be ordering a unit tub and the office would contact to schedule return service.
