"KDTE104ESS1 Arrived to inspect unit not washing. I entered service test mode and found an 8-1 code stored in memory and I cleared for testing. The unit filled and then when the circulation pump attempted to operate, it would just hum. I removed and replaced the failed sump assembly and tested. The unit regained all functions and operated as designed. No leaks observed during service.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is buzzing. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit does this every hour and a couple hours. I ran through diagnostics and tested the damper control, compressor, evaporator fan, and condenser fan. Could not get the unit to work. After working on the other Appliance for 15 minutes, heard the icemaker cycle and the buzz occur when it was trying to fill the icemaker. Check behind the unit and found that the unit was not hooked up to water. I asked the customer if they had previously had this unit hooked up to water and he advised they did not. I explained that sound was coming from his inlet valve as the icemaker was trying to fill because the icemaker had not been turned off. Turned off the icemaker and could not replicate the sound again for the next 30 minutes. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator not making ice. Upon further inspection, the customer advised the unit is making ice now, but still wanted the unit serviced. I inspected the unit and tested temps in the FC=4 degrees and RC=38 degrees. When testing the FC section, I found frost at the bottom of the freezer at the opening (photo). Also found frost at the bottom the FC door (photo). I found the ice maker making good ice. I checked the freezer rack and found it difficult to pull out. Using some manufacturer approved grease, I placed grease on the rack rails and tested and it slides in and out as designed. I removed the frost from the FC bottom and door and checked gaskets and all are sealing properly. No further repairs needed. Issue with ice maker not operating was due to an air leak at the FC door. "KBFN506ESS01 Arrived to inspect over-temperature alarm. Discussion with the customer revealed the unit alarms usually once per day, sometimes several times per day. Internal temperatures were -2?F in the FC and 36? in the RC. I found the chassis was too far back in the mounting on the right side and the left was correct at the top, but approximately 1/2 back at the bottom. The left RC door was having difficulties fully closing on its own and if secondary to the right, required additional force to close fully. I was able to correct all the chassis mounting issues and square the entire assembly. The door closer cam required adjustment and after completed, the soft closure of the left RC door was fully corrected. I removed excessive moisture from below the crisper drawer. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service. Warranty applied to service."

I found the doors were closing good but the top of the freezer gasket was not sealing causing ice build up at the top of the door. The gasket had a divot in it from a shipping foam block. I used my heat gun and warmed the gasket to get it to return to normal shaped and the gasket is now sealing properly. The refrigerator is working as designed. Call complete.

Upon further inspection, the customer provided a video of the noise which was a clanking or rattling noise during agitation, but would only make the noise when the agitation was going a certain way. I tilted the unit back and removed the rotor and found gearcase oil on the underside of the rotor and on the slider. "Arrived onsite for a washer that just stops at the end of the wash cycle and it will not advance. The customer stated they had it in the normal cycle when this happens. I ran diagnostics and there were no stored error codes. The unit completed the service diagnostics cycle and worked as designed. I ran the normal cycle and it stopped after spinning in wash and would not advance. The machine is doing exactly what is stated in Technical Service Pointer #: W11624962. I switched the controls out and the new control errored with an F2E3 ACU/UI mismatch. I cleared the code and ran the service diagnostics cycle. It completed the cycle and worked as designed but when I ran a regular cycle only the sensing light would blink and the unit would never lock the door and start. I put the old control back in and it works in the quick wash cycle. I explained to the customer that I was coming back with all the controls and the service tool to correct the issue. Ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored air codes. Checked both Bacon Boyle elements and found them both working. Went through the customers preferences and found that the unit had been set up on Celsius not Fahrenheit Creating the issue. I change the unit back over to Fahrenheit and found the unit working in operating as designed. The customer also complained that the unit alerts and timer do not work and will not sound off when the timer is done. Check the customers unit and did confirm the customers complaint. Found that the touchpad would not make any sound or sound off when the kitchen timer had run out. Attempted to adjust settings on the user interface and found that the sound box on the UI was bad. Ordering the user interface assembly and the office will need to contact the customer about a return date due to limited parts availability.; used 1 W11297725 (UI) from stock

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that has a burning smell and will not start this new cycle. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that he was running a load of laundry and the unit kept spinning and spinning and spinning and would not stop. He manually shut it off and advised that he could smell a burning smell. He advised that since that cycle, the unit buzzes but will not start a cycle. Ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F7 E1 (basket speed fault) error code. Tested the unit on a normal wash cycle and found the unit buzzing but not spinning. Checked the resistance on the motor and found it within range. Check the wiring and did not find any evidence of any kind of burning within the washer. I called Whirlpool Safety team and spoke to Kelly SR# 7735876825. She advised to go ahead and proceed under warranty for the capacitor. "KRMF706ESS05 Arrived to inspect door closing issue. I found the left door closer had been broken during installation and required replacement. The chassis required squaring and the drain tube assembly required sealing. No leaks observed during service. Office to send tech GCO.; ordrng 1 W11163783 (Closer, L) and 1 GCO (GCO)"

Arrived onsite for a washer that is noisy in spin. Upon inspection I found that the gear case was leaking. I am ordering the gearcase hub and cam. Office to reschedule. ; ordrng 1 W10528947 (HUB) and 1 W11454734 (GEARCASE) and 1 W10721967 (CAM)

"Arrived to inspect safety call for smoke from unit. I found one of the main relays on the primary power supply board of the main module had thermally failed. I contacted the MFG tech line and reported my findings. File# 7735936725. The MFG tech recommended to replace both modules and anything else that has smoke/fire damage. I was unable to contact safety and it will need to be done the following day. Unit will require both modules, harness, UI and burners to mitigate odor and will need to be authorized by MFG Safety.
