Arrived on site for inspection of unit that caught on fire. Found that the entire control panel area was charred from fire that happened in left side of the control board. Control panel 4451063 is discontinued. Main control board 4448869 is discontinued. The entire wire harness for both units would have to be replaced. Due to heat it appears that the wave guide got damaged and that is not a replaceable part. My opinion is that this unit is not repairable and I would be afraid that every electrical component in both unit would have to also be replaced as it is still not for certain which part caused fire. This unit also caught house cabinet on fire as well. The customer has expressed that they could never trust this unit again.

arrived on site to inspect refrigerator not cooling. Upon inspection, I found that the evaporator cover had ice buildup on it. I was able to get the Evap cover off to inspect the Evap coil and found a large amount of ice buildup on the coil. I advised the customer that they would need to defrost the unit before I could go any further with service. I had the customer sign a waiver and advised the customer to put several towels down around the unit due to water spillage. Also advised the customer to use a wet/vac to vacuum up as much water as they could to protect their floors. Office to order Evap cover and return service is scheduled for 04/26/18 CS. I will return with RC Thermistor. No water leaks observed during service.

I disconnected the UI from the main control and turned the power source on and the units drain pump activated. I reconnected the UI to the control and still had no operation. arrived on site for refrigerator/freezer not cooling. Upon further inspection, I found that the freezer coil had not frost pattern. I felt the compressor and it was cold to touch. I verified ohms to the compressor and verified ohms to the start device and found that the wiring was not correct. I corrected the wiring and tested unit and the unit tested good. WFG530S0ES1 whirlpool oven Arrived on site to test unit for gas smell when not in use. Insoected all connections. Unit has already been bubble soaped by plumber. All connections checked fine visually. Tunred gas on and was unable to smell it until unit was moved. Gas line connected to range is slightly too short, causing tension to be put on it when moved. With out proper instrumentation i am unable to accurately locate leak. My guess would be related to the short gas line. If gas line is the root of cause it will need to be replaced by rhe builder as it is not considered part of the appliance. Instruct customer on cintacting gas company to have leak diagnosed with correct tools.

KitchenAid Range Model KSGG700ESS1. Arrived onsite for the range that started smoking real bad when the oven was started and it’s coming from around the convection fan. I tested the oven and it is no longer smoking. I suspect that there was an extra amount of oil inside the cavity causing the issue. I removed the lower panel and the fan cover to make sure there was no packing in either place. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.

Model MFF2558VEB1, Arrived on call for unit not cooling properly, installed used test relay prior and left it on the unit prior to leaving location on last call and when got to customers home unit has been running and has not shut off and freezer is 5 degrees and fresh food is 37 degrees and compressor is just warm and compressor is drawing 0.9 amps which is good and compressor windings were less than 1 ohm difference on readings on previous call, per gc senior tech only install cap and start device, sealed system parts not needed, no water leaks at time of call, call complete.
