"Arrived on site or a refrigerator that has a chemical smell. Inspected unit and work area. Did smell what appeared to be a leech kind of smell inside of the freezer section. The customer advised they have not cleaned out the refrigerator since they bought it. I disassembled the freezer section and found no burnt wires or components. Found note residue or items that have burnt off the heater. Check the dispenser motor harness did not find any issues with any of those components or wiring as well. I checked the refrigerator and did not find any failed components. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Leon SR# 7737693859. I told him that the customer is also getting a smell and taste in their water and ice as well. He advised that based on all our checks, there would be nothing in the unit from the unit itself that would be causing any types of smells and advise the customer to use coffee beans or activated charcoal to remove the smell. He advised to make no repairs and that the unit is working as designed. He said if the customer is unhappy with the unit, they may contact customer service. I called whirlpool safety team and spoke to Adam SR# 7737639987. He advised that he documented the file not the issue is most likely with their water supply containing too much chlorine. He stated the ice smell may be recirculating around the refrigerator, which would also be why they can taste it in the water. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered part. Per previous techs diagnosis, I installed a new tub. I transferred all original parts from the old tub to the new and tested. I found the unit beginning to leak from the bottom right side of the door. I found a large amount of suds in the tub due to the tub laying on its back with the door closed and rinse aid leaked out from the dispenser. I removed the suds from the unit and Unit is operating as designed with no further leaks. I re-installed the unit and secured it to the cabinets. I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, detergent and rinse aid use as customer has a water softener system. No leaks observed at the end of service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator ice maker not working. Upon further inspection, I found the ice maker made one batch of ice since being replaced. Using my jumper, I tested the ice maker and it failed to harvest. I found no water in the tray. I tested voltage to the ice maker and its getting proper voltage. Tested the harness and it is good as well. I removed and replaced the ice maker and tested and it is operating as designed. Ice maker motor failed on recently replaced ice maker. "Arrived on site to inspect ice machine not making ice properly. Upon further inspection, I found the unit with ice kin the bin, but very small cubes. I found the unit in the middle of a cycle and there was a slab on the evaporator. I found the slab of ice very small and not completely full as expected. The unit went into heat mode and the slab slid off the evaporator onto the grid cutter. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested and found the evaporator not frosting fast enough. I placed my gauges on the high and low sides of the sealed system and found pressures exactly where they were when I left. I bumped the system to get my pressures to 0/125psi and monitored the production. I found the slab more full than it was when I arrived. I recommended the customer monitor the production and cont@t our office if it doesnt improve at which time, the sealed system will need to be re-done. Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not cooling correctly after the sealed system was repaired. I inspected the evaporator and found only two loops frosted. I could hear the refrigerant spitting at times and not flowing good. I checked my low side pressure and found it in a 13 psi vacuum. I checked for refrigerant leaks and found none but the unit acted like it wasnt fully charged. The model/serial tag called for 43 grams but I checked the parts breakdown and it showed 56 grams. I called techline and spoke with Joe SR# 7737817711. I added 13 more grams of refrigerant and my low side was at 8 psi vacuum and my high side was at 65 psi. I had good refrigerant flow now and the evaporator completely frosted. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not draining. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit does complete up each cycle, but that his clothes dont seemingly come out fully spun out all the time. Found the unit unlevel and leaning towards the front of the door. Ran it through diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. Ran the unit through an auto test and found the unit working an operating as designed. I did advisor customer. The issue is most likely with the leveling of the washer because the pressure hose that registers water levels on this unit is at the back of the unit. I explained with having the basket leaning forward, it may not be registering water inside of the drum thats there. Adjusted the feet on his washer and ran through some of the settings on his control panel. Found a few of the cycles not on the high speed spin, and did explain that the high speed spin will get more of the water out so he does not have to keep running a drain and spin on this unit. The unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete."

WRT318FZDM10 Arrived to install previously diagnosed and ordered part. I found the part ordered was not needed and had already been installed. The part needed was the fill tube extension that comes with the ice maker kit and I had one in my van and installed. I tested the ice maker and it filled as designed. Arrived on site for door falling down . Found left hand spring had fallen of hinge . Replaced hinge . Door is functioning properly . No water leaks detected at this time. Job complete

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator with frost in the freezer section. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=4 degrees. When I went to open the FC drawer fully, it stopped halfway. I found frost built up on the slides and the grease for the bearings had hardened. Also found the light switch frozen stuck. I freed the switch and disassembled the FC section. I removed and replaced the slides and using manufacturer approved grease, I placed a small amount on the rails of the upper rack and on the sides of the lower bin where the upper rack slides and reassembled the FC section. Tested the door functions and the unit is operating as designed. I tested several times no demonstrated for the customer as well. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect washer making banging and clicking noises. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested. Unit is operating as designed. Customer placed a load of clothing, similar to their last load when the unit made the noises, and l tested on a Normal wash with warm water and high speed spin (photo). Customer advised the last load they did on the same settings, it only ran a 20 minute cycle. When I started this cycle, the displayed showed 20 mins and once it began to sense the clothing, the display jumped to 59 mins. I advised the customer of this. I monitored the unit for the full 59 mins and while the unit was in washing cycle, I could hear a clicking noise which was found to be a hoodie with a zipper and the zipper was hitting the inside door glass. The completed the wash cycle and went into a spin cycle and it operated as designed. I devised the customer that the original issue was for error codes UE/OE which are for unbalanced load and drain issues. The customer advised that they are on a water softener system, as I found suds in the wash cycle. I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, detergent use. "Arrived on site for a dryer that is catching lint on the backside of the lint catcher. Inspected unit and work area. Customer advised that the unit seems to take a little while to dry clothes and that the lamp is catching whenever they try to pull the lecture about. he advised that he believe the light was coming out on the wrong side. Did confirm the customers complaint and checked airflow. Found good airflow for gas dryers but poor airflow for electric dryers. Looked behind the unit and found the customer using a spring style vent hose that was, in the shape of an S going into the wall vent. I corrected the vent hose but explain to the customer that the issue is with an airflow issue. I checked in the attic for how the unit vents through the home and found the dryer vent was long. I recommended the customer change out the vent hose first. However, if he was still having problems, same thing, it would be with his venting system. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to inspect wall oven/microwave combo unit error codes. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked for error codes and found F3E0 & F6E1. I cleared the codes and pulled the unit out to test the control and sensor. I found that the sensor harness (signal harness in breakdown) molex connector right terminal was defective and the sensor harness was good. While I had the unit pulled out, the cooling fan turned on even with the oven not turned on and heating. I researched the signal harness and found it out of stock. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that has frosting up in the freezer. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised it about a week ago, they came into the freezer section and found what appeared to be snow on all of their items in the freezer. They advised that they did not clean any of it out and the frost has not dissipated. Check the freezer section and found what appeared to be frost. The head turned into ice indicating the issue was no longer present. Check the gasket in the cabinet for any gaps. Found no gaps all the way around the gasket or around the cabinet and liner. I did advise the customer that it appeared that the door may not have been either fully closed or they may have had something caught between the gasket and the cabinet. I showed the customer that the left-hand side of the freezer can pop out if you dont close it or open it correctly. And did advise her to open and close the door from the middle or right hand side of the handle. The unit is working as designed. Advise the customer to call back if any other issues persist. The customer just wanted to have it checked because she hadnt noticed it before. I disassembled the unit just to be sure, and found all rollers and idler pulley working as designed. I checked the blower wheel and the motor as well and found both in good condition. The customer advised that the idler, pulley and rollers had just been replaced six months ago. "Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator not cooling. On arrival customer said they noticed that stuff in the RC seemed to be spoiling quicker than normal. I checked temps and found freezer at 3 degrees and dropping when measured, and everything was appropriately frozen. I examined the RC and found good airflow to RC, but the top shelf right under the vent had items pushed to the back wall for the entire shelf length. This is blocking airflow to all of the lower shelves, and the temp difference was noticeable. Moved items out of the way and told Customer to make sure that all items are away from back wall to create proper cooling and airflow. Repair completed."

On arrival verified complaint of no lights in Fc. Customer stated bulb already replaced by customer. Opened Fc door and saw switch broken. Replaced door switch and light came back on. No frost build up or signs of any other issues. All operational test good. Job complete no water leaks during service.

Arrived onsite from DW that is not drying dishes properly. Upon arrival I put the unit in diagnostic and found code F6E1 water valve issue. I ran the unit and found that the unit filled with water and drain with no issues and the heater came on at the end of the cycle. Upon further inspection I found that the detergent dispenser seemed to be leaking rinse aid. I replaced it and the control and tested the unit and found the unit operating as designed

Arrived on site for unit not completing cycle and leaving clothes wet at the end of the cycle. Upon arrival put unit in diagnostics and received 8/1 error code for Long fill. Tested and confirmed no Water flow. Replaced valve. Tested unit and unit is now functioning properly. Job complete

"Arrived on site to test unit for not getting up to temp, tested unit found customer is using after market thermostats and per customer they are reading 25 degrees lower, put temp probe into oven and per heated to 350, unit pre heated to 375 and recovered back to 350 within 5 minutes, showed customer that her after market thermostat is is reading lower by 30 degrees, advised customer not to use them also notice that customer is using silicone mats covering entire lower rack that is effecting how the heat is cycled in the oven, advised to use small foil covers, at this time unit is running as designed, job complete"

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator that is not making ice. Upon arrival I found that the unit had indeed made a full bin of ice but upon further inspection I found that the drain was clogged causing ice to build up and block airflow to the ice box causing the issue. I unplugged the drain but then found that the light switch was broken I am ordering the light switch and rescheduled for the 11/27/23 ; ordrng 1 W11396033 (SWITCH)

"Arrived on site for a chest freezer that pops on the door is open and closed. Inspected unit and work area. Did confirm the customers complaint and checked the hinges. Found that when the door was being opened, that part of the actual door was being pulled open due to a tear on the backside of the door. See photos found that the popping was occurring when the unit was lifted up enough to basically pop back into place. Arrived onsite to install previously ordered parts. Upon arrival I inspected the unit and found that the actuator was stuck in the middle of its through causing the cam to not engage properly causing noise and the unit not to agitate or spin. I replaced the the actuator and the cam and tested the unit in quick wash and in drain and spin and found that the unit operating as designed.

"On arrival verified complaint of not starting cycle. Did visual check of unit below and found all harness connected and no visible broken wires. Gear case is not leaking. Arrived on site to replace upper and lower switch holders. Replaced both parts test unit and unit test good at this time job complete.

Arrived onsite and used a tube to fix leak into freezer. Cleared ice from leak. All checks good. Advised customer on repair. Unit is now operating as designed.

Arrived on site for not cooling. Upon arrival inspected unit and found evaporator completely encased in ice. Ran diagnostics and all components except heater operated. Used steamer to remove evaporator panel and clear ice from components. Found harness to heater is not secured. Secured connect forced heat and heater pulls correct amperage and is now operating. Cleared all ice from evaporator with steamer and blower. Unit is operas designed. Job complete

Arrived onsite for previously diagnosed parts. Installed the auger motor and tested unit. The auger motor now turns when you push the ice paddle on the dispenser. The unit is operating as designed and no water leaks detected during service.

"Arrived on site for dishwasher flashing light cycle selection during use and not running for a few days after it would happen. Upon arrival confirmed issue and inspected drain pan under unit, found leaking at drain motor due to bad drain motor seal. Reschedule customer for 11/27/23 to complete repairs with new drain motor. Arrived on site to test unit for door not closing correctly. Test unit and found broken latch. Replaced latch test unit and unit test good job complete.

"WTW4955HW3 Arrived to inspect noise. I found the gear case cover had came loose and was damaged, including the belt. Office to order parts. No leaks observed during service. ; ordrng 1 W11611297 (Belt) and 2 W11573574 (Screw)s and 1 W11409708 (Shield)"

Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. I found voltage to the transformer. I ohmed the transformer and found an out of value reading. I removed and replaced transformer and tested. The unit now operates as designed.

"Arrived on site to diagnose unit not running all burners and beeping. Found unit had the F2E1 error referenced in service pointer W11636633. Replaced control to resolve error. Verified unit working properly, including burner acting problematic. Repair completed."

Arrived onsite for dishwasher not drying. On inspection found F7E1 error. Ran diagnostics cycle and monitor 5he heating element. The heating element is drawing 7.8amps which is normal reading when working correctly. After the diagnostic cycle the heating element was warm not hot. There are some wear marks on the heating element. Installed new heating element and retesting. The new heating element is operating as designed and no water leaks detected during service.

On arrival verified unit is still working. Customer stated unit was not working 24 hours ago. Removed temp logger and data was incomplete. Spoke with customer of possible options. "Arrived on site for an ice machine. That is not making ice. Inspected unit and work area. The customer had a maintenance man who was helping me out with the machine. He advised that on the previous unit they had issues with the unit filling with water and when they replaced it with this new one, they have had the same issue. He did not know if they were related. I turned the unit onto a max ice cycle and found barely any water coming into the unit when trying to fill. Removed the filter and found no change in water pressure. Went to turn off the water supply and found an in-line water filter, in between the copper waterlines underneath the sink. I asked the customer how long ago they had replaced that filter and the maintenance guy advised that he was unsure when that had been replaced last. I did advise that the issue maybe with that filter considering that the old unit had the same problem. He removed the copper waterline off the the machine side of the filter and we added water pressure. Found water dribbling out of the in-line water filter. He removed the filter off of the other side of the copper waterline, we found adequate water pressure indicating the issue was not with unit and with the in-line filter that they already have on the unit. I ran the unit through diagnostics and checked all components of the machine and found the unit operating as designed. Advised the customer to either bypass the in-line filter or to replace it and the unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived onsite for a washer that is making noise when in use. Upon inspection I found that the actuator as not shifting properly, there was a quarter under the washplate and the drain hose would also slab the inside of the standpipe when the unit is spinning out the clothes. I corrected all of this and ran the unit with clothes in it like,the customer would and found that the noise is now gone."

Arrived onsite for a DW that is no operating. Upon inspection I found that the water line was not connected to the unit I corrected this and tested the unit and found the unit operating as designed

Arrived on site for dishwasher not even turning on. Customer says they never used it. Found no power at dishwasher. Checked and found a power switch turned off for dishwasher right next to the disposal switch. Clicked on and verified power. Diagnostics passed with no problems. Call complete.

Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator making noise. Tested unit and confirmed noise coming from freezer fan assembly. Noise is rattling evaporator cover on the fan housing. I added some sealer to the evap cover where it meets the housing to reduce vibration. Retested and found noise diminished significantly. Repair completed.

"Arrived on site to follow up on dishwasher that was making noise after recent repair. Used clear door and showed customer lower arm is working. Customer showed me video of noise, which sounded like lower arm thumping or hitting something. I removed the lower spray arm and reinstalled / clocked to proper position but service manual. Ran unit and found noise did not return. Repair completed."

Arrived on site to inspect bottom mount refrigerator. I found the FC at 31 and the RC at 49. I found a sheet of ice in the bottom of the FC. I removed the ice and inspected the evaporator. I found little to no frost on the evaporator. I found the drain tube clogged as well. I removed the drain tube and cleared the restriction. I found the compressor running very hot and at 1.3 amps. I am ordering the compressor to resolve the cooling issue. Office to order parts and schedule service. "KDTE204KPS1 Arrived to inspect drying issue. I found no stored error codes and all functions, including the heating system, wee fully functional within service test mode. The customer pre-rinses well and was over-detergenting. I advised a recommended amount of detergent (1 or less TBSP) and also found the rinse agent set to the factory level of 3, which is too much in most every case and I entered the service mode and set it to 1, which facilitates better drying. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

Arrived on site with icemaker and brackets. Only left side bracket included. Removed freezer drawers. Replaced icemaker and left bracket. Reassembled and verified operation. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for off balance complaint and found off balance due to spin basket unperforated weep holes. Ordering basket to repair.
