"arrived on site to inspect dryer not drying clothing. Upon further inspection, I opened the door to t(e unit and pressed the door switch closed and turned the unit on. I found that the element is functioning as I could see it illuminate in the back left vent area. Using my dryer vent test kit, I tested the airflow to the unit and it failed twice. I removed the vent hose from the back of the unit and retested and the unit passed, all while demonstrating the test to the customer. I found a large amount of lint debris inside the vent hose leading up to the wall and advised the customer to have someone professionally check the venting to the house. No lint observed in the unit

I set the time to spin and the unit drained the remaining water out fast and the unit ran normal. I visually checked the pump, motor, and transmission and they all looked good. I filled the basket completely up with water again and put the unit in a spin cycle. The unit drained normally and completed the cycle. I explained to the customer that it could be a weak motor or capacitor starting to fail but at this time all is checking good. I gave the customer some things to watch for and report back to us with if the issue happens again.

I tested the ice maker and its operating as designed. I inspected the ice bin gasket on the door and it’s sealing properly. I tested the ice door and it’s opening and closing within it’s designed time. I advised the customer that if ice is getting stuck in the ice door it is allowing more wam air into the ice bin and melting the ice together which will cause it to get clumped up in the chute. Recommended making sure there are no cubes getting stuck in the ice door and make sure the gasket is not crimped. No mechanical failures to repair. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F7E1 and cleared the code and continued with testing. Unit operated as designed and I tested amp draw on the element and got 7-9amps as designed. Customer advised that there is water in the filter area after a wash cycle. I advised the customer to press and hold the start button for 3 seconds after the cycle is completed to engage the drain pump to drain most of the remaining water out. At that point, there should only be approximately 1/4 inch of water in the reservoir. Made recommendations for use and care and detergent and rinse aid use since customer has a water softener. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"arrived on site to inspect washer noises. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics to test. The unit began to operate as designed until it got to the spin mode and the unit began to make a very loud screaming noise. Removed the back panel and determined the noise was the bearing. After attempting to look up the part, I found that the tub assembly is no longer available. I advised the customer of my findings and advised the part is not available and not repairable. "arrived on site to inspect washer noises. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing the beginning of an error code of F7, but it cleared immediately. Continued with testing and the unit operated as designed. When the unit got to the agitation mode I could hear what sounded like gears slipping. Also, while spinning, I could hear what sounded like the gearcase grinding. I tilted the unit back and found a large amount of gearcase oil on the rotor and motor harness shield ad on all four panels. I advised the customer of my findings and advised that I would have to order parts and return to repair. I am ordering the clutch, rotor, & stator and will return with all prescreened parts. "arrived on site to inspect wall oven display/time. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the clock on the unit display jumps time approximately 1-2 minutes per day. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested all the components. All tested good. I contacted Techline and spoke to Andy and advised of my findings and that the unit is not connected to WiFi. Andy advised to check the hertz reading at the J8 connector on the main control. My reading was 60htz. Andy advised that the unit has to be connected to WiFi in order to receive updates and for the clock to be on whirlpool time so it won’t advance or jump. Also advised to not repair anything on the unit. Provided File #7726798073.
