I explained to ms how the cold water loop worked and advised to dispense about 4 oz’s of water to pour out then fill their cups with water for it to be full. I checked the icemaker and found the motor stopped while in harvest with voltage to it. I replaced the icemaker and tested. The unit is working as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW8500DC4 "arrived on site to inspect washer making loud grinding noise. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with no error codes at the end of testing; however, the unit made a loud noise during drain mode and when the reciprocating pump came on. The noise sounded like broken glass inside the drain pump. I drained the remaining water from the unit and while draining I could hear the noise. I tilted the unit back and using my wet vac and pliers, I removed the drain hose from the drain pump. When I stiffened the remaining water from the drain tube I heard an object go down my wet vac hose. I checked the drain pump for anymore debris and then checked the reciprocating pump for debris. I re-installed the drain pump and reciprocating pump ad hoses and then removed the basket to check for any further debris in the tub reservoir. I put the unit back together and tested again, and no further noises; unit operated as designed. No water leaks o

Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with no error codes at the beginning. During testing, I found that there was hardly any water in the tub. After checking the main water hose, I found that it was badly kinked. I removed the hose from the main water line and pulled the unit in order to pull the hose out and straightened it. Once I had it straightened and the kink out, I attached the hose to the main water line and tested the unit again. Unit operated as designed, no water leaks observed during service. I left a brochure behind for the customer and left a note for them to use rinse aid to assist with drying the dishes. Job completed."

Using my thermalcouple, I placed my lead in the middle of the center rack and began testing on Bake at 350 for Standard Preheat Multi-rack only. When the unit beeped at 350 my temp reading was 376. I recorded the next five readings which were 352, 355, 333, 356, 346 for and average of 348 degrees. I advised the customer of my findings and recommended some tips to better help her when cooking. I cannot find anything mechanically wrong with this unit/temps are good."

The unit showed error code F6E4-Float switch open. I cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit operated as designed with no water leaks observed. Looking inside the unit/tub area, I found a lot of debris in the corners of the reservoir. With this particular error code, usually the customer is using too much detergent which is causing too much suds and the float will not work properly. With the debris in the corners of the reservoir and too much suds, this could/will cause the unit to leak from the reservoir overflowing. I advised the customer of my findings and questioned as to what type of detergent they use. I made recommendations on detergents and rinse aid use. Also, I found that the customer has a water softener system, along with an RO system. I recommended that the customer cut back on detergent use and to use a liqui

I cleared the codes and continued with testing. The unit locked the door and stopped. It would not advance through the steps in diagnostics. I removed the back panel and checked continuity to the motor ad it was good. I removed the motor control ad inspected it and found that it had shorted and arced. I notified the office to get authorization to replace the control due to it being over $100. Office obtained authorization and I removed and replaced the motor control and tested. The unit operated as designed with no error codes. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

REFRIGERATOR AMANA 36088 "36088 Arrived to inspect no cool. I found the compressor running, but there was no heat generated on the high side and current was 1.6 amps. The amp draw and sound from the compressor appears to be from a low side leak that has drawn air into the system and the evaporator will be required as well. Parts, such as the compressor and evaporator, are not shown in any of the mfg diagrams as available or with a subsequent part number. Due to the age (1981) of the unit, lack of parts availability and an R12 equipped sealed system, a reliable repair cannot be made. No leaks observed during service."

I checked the dampener operation and the defrost circuit on the unit and both were working as designed. I checked the drain and it was clear. I found the door seal in good condition and sealing properly. I found frost and ice on the evaporator, cover, and all around the door of the FC. I found large gaps between the chassis and liner causing warm air leaks. I quoted the customer RF170 LABOR $209.99 + tax. I removed all the ice and frost. I sealed the chassis to the liner with factory approved sealant. The unit is working as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete."
