Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested and it showed error code F4E3 (motor not working). I cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit dispensed water into the tub and when the motor was to come on, it didn’t operate. I advanced through diagnostics and the drain pump came on and the heating element came on as well. I tested ohms to the motor at the control and found it open. I removed and replaced the sump/motor assembly and tested the unit again and this time it operated as designed with no error codes at the end of testing. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I checked the sensor within service mode and it read 76 degrees vs the thermocouple of 74.4. I tested at 350 and the unit claimed preheat at 345. 319, 358, 317, 370. True earring of the thermistor within service test mode showed a 20 difference in thermocouple vs sensor reading at high cycle portion. I induced a positive offset and advised the customer. The burner was making a blowtorch sound and I found it required an adjustment of the air shutter to get it to burn cleanly and correctly. Operational test good, no gas leaks detected during service."

The customer showed me a video that illustrated a large amount of steam coming out of the vent at the left third of the lower UI area. It appeared to be heavy enough to cause UI misreads and I inspected the door gasket. The gasket was compressed and had some hardened areas and I elected to remove and replace it. The dirk required adjustment to ensure complete closing and I tested via door lock actuation within service test mode. Operational test good.

WASHER MAYTAG MHW8000AG0 "arrived on site to inspect washer leaking from inlet. Upon further inspection, the customer showed me where the unit was leaking. Water is constantly dripping from the inlet at the door. I removed the top panel and placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with no error codes. The unit operated as designed, but while testing, I found that the inlet was constantly releasing water into the unit at a steady stream then would slowly come to a drip. Using my multimeter, I verified continuity to the water valves through the harness at the connectors at the control (1.04 ohms). I verified VAC at the valve (125 VAC). I then tested the diverter valve and found that continuity checked good (1.03 ohms) so I checked VAC at the diverter valve for the inlet and found 125 VAC from the control. I am ordering the diverter valve and scheduled return service for 12/18/18. No water leaks observed during service other than at the inlet. Water was turned off at the wall outlet.; or

REFRIGERATOR MAYTAG MFF2558VEB3 "Arrived on site for refrigerator FC door not sealing and not making ice. Inspected door rails and gasket. Removed ice buildup and rails checked okay. Advanced ice maker cycle and found motor not activating. Tested voltage to ice maker and found present. Found gasket at bottom of door not staying in place. Flipped gasket (top to bottom) found issue is with door inner panel not holding gasket. Added whirlpool approve adhesive to help hold gasket in place. Tested ice maker cycle and inspected gasket. Advised custom to wait 24 hours and recommend 48 hours before opening door for adhesive to dry. All tested good, no water leaks present.

Was able to use lubricant on house valves to allow easier opening and closing. Customer is now able to turn valves. Water will now enter unit as intended. All water connections were dry at time of service.

WASHER MAYTAG MVWB880BW0 "arrived on site to inspect washer making loud noise. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with no error codes. The unit operated as designed with no unusual noises. I placed the unit in manual test mode and tested it on high spin and the unit began to make a very loud noise as if two pieces of metal were rubbing together. I stopped testing and tilted the unit back to look at the motor (rotor) and before I attempted to removed the rotor to inspect the stator, I found that the rotor bolt was stripped and I could not get it off.

OVEN WHIRLPOOL WFG515S0EB1 "arrived on site to inspect oven making loud noises. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the oven is making loud popping noises and weren’t sure why. They said it would pop while ensuing up and when the unit would cool down. I turned the unit on Bake at 350 degrees and waited for the unit to heat up. Once it began to get hot, I could hear the normal popping noises that ovens make when heating up. I questioned the customer if the noises I’m hearing were the same that they were hearing and she said they were, but sometimes they are louder. I advised the customer that the noises were normal. As the unit heats up, the metal will expand and move around causing the popping noises. I turned the unit off and opened the oven door and found that the bottom needed to be adjusted as it wasn’t seated correctly. I adjusted the bottom panel and tightened the screws. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed."

MICROWAVE KITCHENAID KMBS104ESS02 "arrived on site to inspect microwave door issue. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit would show an open door error. Also, they advised that the defrost mode is not working. I placed a cup of water in the unit and tested. I heated the water for 30 seconds and at the end of testing, the water was hot to the touch. The customer placed a frozen muffin in the unit and turned it on defrost mode 1 for 37 seconds and at the end of defrosting, the muffin was still cold. I followed the defrosting instructions in the use & case guide and unwrapped the muffin and placed it in the unit on the wrapper for the same amount of time (defrost-37 secs) and the muffin was hot on the bottom and warm at the top. I advised the customer of my findings and she advised that she as defrosted muffins the same way every time and they always come out like they just came out of the oven.
