I made recommendations to the customer for use and care tips such as detergent/rinse aid use, purging the hot water at the sink before using and different modes of wash that will help in getting the dishes dry. FREEZER KENMORE 253.287128 "253.28712804 Arrived to inspect cooling issues. I found the unit at 22 and tested the compressor amp draw. The amp draw was .6, too low for the internal temperature. The high side discharge was very hot at the compressor, but approximately 100 at about 14 inches from the compressor, denoting loss of coolant and/or a weak compressor. I advised the customer of my findings and they elected to replace the unit. RF100 $99.99 no water connections."

DRYER MAYTAG MED8200FC0 "arrived on site to inspect dryer not turning off. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit is not shutting off when the clothes are dry and she believes the unit is not sensing correctly. I placed the unit in diagnostics and it showed error codes F4E3 and F4E4. I went to the breaker box and turned the power off at the breaker for approximately 10-15 seconds then turned it back on. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested and cleared the error codes. The unit began testing and the display showed the total voltage of 235 volts. The unit tested good. Also, the unit showed that the airflow was good too. Due to the L2 voltage issue, I followed the tech sheet and tested the CCU and it checked out good. I tested the sensors and they tested good also. I tested the thermistor and it checked good as well. I advised the customer of my findings. The customer advised that they use the sensing dry mode and I advised that changing the sensing times will

Upon further inspection, I found the door to the unit open so I attempted to close the door and found that the lint filter was not seated correctly. I attempted to seat the filter and it would not go all the way into the vent. I found lint debris in the vent keeping the filter from seating all the way. I removed the filter and closed the door and as soon as the door latches, the unit came on, but the power button had not been pressed. I pressed the power button and the unit came on. I attempted to press the start/pause button and the unit continued to operate. I unplugged the unit and I removed the top panel and the front panel and inspected the element and found a large amount of lint debris inside the unit and inside the element assembly. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit by placing a cup of water in the unit and turning it on for 30 seconds. At the end of the time, I removed the cup ad the water was warm as expected, but the unit stopped when I opened the door. I tested the unit for one minute and opened the door while it was running and it stopped when I opened the door. Due the issue with the unit operating when the door is open, I removed and replaced the door switches and interlocks. I tested the unit again and it heated and operated as designed. I advised the customer of the repairs. Job completed."

I ran a cycle on delicate and after the wash cycle the lid lock light began to flash after filling for the rinse cycle. After 5 minutes I moved the lid and the lock unlocked but would not re lock until cycle was paused and restarted. I also found the basket speed error returned after the cycle ended and diagnostics was ran to check for faults. I found the same faults. During fill I noticed the basket floating. I found the hub damaged and causing the issue. Unit has failed hub and may also require a lid lock or control to repair.

I found and removed part of the knockout plug that had not been fully removed during instal. I also found and removed a piece of debris from the drain pump. The unit had all functions present within service test mode and completed and drained as designed. I discussed detergent use with the customer and they had been using tablets and/or a full detergent dispenser cup of liquid automatic dishwasher detergent. I advised switching to the liquid automatic dishwasher detergent exclusively and to use no more than one tablespoon, as the customer pre-rinses. I advised on the use of rinse agent and to purge cold water from the hot supply, prior to use. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."
