WASHER WHIRLPOOL MVWB766FW1 Arrived onsite for the washer with the detergent not coming out of the clothes. Ms stated the unit moves across the floor in the spin cycle. Ms showed me a piece of clothing with white spots. I explained to ms that the water needs to be hotter and a detergent for cold water and colors should be used. I tested the water temp on the hottest setting and the temp was only at 107 degrees because the hot water heater is so far away from the machine and the hose didn’t start getting hot until the water was at the bottom of the wash plate. I checked stored error codes and had an F7E8. I found the tub and basket not level in the chassis. I found spacers installed on the feet causing the unit to walk across the floor. I removed the spacers and leveled the basket and tub in the chassis. I tested the unit in a high speed spin and it worked as designed. No water leaks were present at the time of service. Call complete.

My temp reading was 8-9 degrees. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested in mode 15 for the ice level sensor and it passed. I tested in mode 25 for the water fill test ad using my jumper wire, I tested the ice maker from points T-H. The ice maker began to harvest and at the end of harvesting, the water dispensed into the ice maker. I checked the switches and all switches were good. I checked the wiring harness at the bottom left hinge and all was good. The water dispenser dispensed water also. I advised the customer of my findings and advised that I was not finding anything wrong with the unit. The customer advised that the ice maker stopped making ice approximately two months ago. Upon arrival, I opened the fc section door and found frost buildup on the Evap cover ad lower evaporator. I removed the Evap cover to find the entire evaporator covered with frost buildup. I contacted Techline and spoke to Adrian. I advised him of all the repairs to the unit and the previous File Number. After testing the unit while on the line with Adrian and the unit continuing to frost up, Adrian advised that all of the information from today would be added to the previous file number #7723783827. Adrain advised that the file would be sent for review and someone from Whirlpool would be contacting our office as well as the customer. I advised the customer of the situation and using my steamer, I removed the frost from the evaporator so the customer could use the unit until they hear from our office or Whirlpool. I found the recirculating pump running but not pumping and water. I found the reservoir drain pump with voltage but not running and the WLS not registering when the reservoir was full. I found the water distributor tube and the water slide tube corroded with mold and grime.

I cleared the codes and continued with testing. The unit operated as designed until it got to the spin test. The unit shifted into spin but when the unit began to ramp up speed it shut off power. I tilted the unit back and removed the rotor and found the teeth on the rotor where it meets the slider were worn down and the teeth on the slider were beginning to wear as well.

DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL WDF560SAFM2 Arrived onsite for the dishwasher that’s not cleaning properly. I found the inside of the machine and the filters very clean. I checked stored error codes and there were none. I ran the auto diagnostics cycle and the unit completed the cycle and worked as designed. The heater was drawing 7.3 amps in wash. At the end of the cycle I had ms open the door and she felt the heat from the element. Ms stated that the unit had definitely stopped heating because at the end of a cycle it was no longer doing this. I did find the rinse aid set to max and turned it to minimum. I explained to me that this could cause sudsing. I also explained to ms to get the water as hot as possible at the faucet before starting the machine. I called techline and spoke with Joel to report what ms stated about no heat. SR# 7723911717. Joel stated he personally has never seen a machine not heat and not store an F7E1 error but also stated anything is possible.

The customer advised that the rinse aid has not been dispensing and the rinse aid in the dispenser now is the same as it was when they bought the house and used the sample bottle to fill. I removed the outer door panel and tested the unit in diagnostics again. I found that the dispenser arm was not actuating the rinse aid to dispense. I removed and replaced the dispenser and tested the unit again with the door panel off and the dispenser operated as designed. I recommended some use and care tips along with detergent and rinse aid tips. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Using my multimeter, I placed my thermal lead in the middle of the center rack and tested. After approximately 2-3 minutes, my temp reading was 188 degrees but the control was not reading the temps as the display was showing 100 degrees and would not advance. I checked ohms to the sensor and it showed open. I advised the customer of my findings and am ordering the sensor and main control. I verified the cooktop burners were operating and they were.
