During placement of my thermocouple I discovered the back panel of the FC coated in frost, denoting a frost filled evaporator. FC temp was 10 and RC 44. I found no cause for the ice and it did occur when the customer was away for several weeks. I advised the customer on defrosting the unit at their earliest convenience and discussed the use of towels to catch any water that may overflow the condensate pan. I verified all other functions present, including a properly working defrost system. No leaks observed during service."

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that she is having food freeze inside the deli drawer and on the shelf above the deli drawer. Using my multimeter, I placed my thermal lead inside the deli drawer and checked temp. My reading was 37 degrees. Using the same method I checked the rc section ad the fc section. My readings were 35 degrees in the rc and 8 degrees in the fc. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested mode 3 and checked the damper and found that the damper door does not close. I removed and replaced the damper and tested again and it is operating as designed. I advised the customer of my findings and provided some use and care tips to help prevent the food freezing. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

RANGE WHIRLPOOL WFG505M0BS2 "arrived on site to inspect range heat too hot and making microwave handle hot. Upon further inspection, the customer advised test when she cooks on the cooktop, the microwave handle gets extremely hot and that she has burned her fingers. I pulled the microwave model number on Service Matters and checked the specifics on installation and found that the unit should be 30 inches from the top of the microwave to the top of the cooktop and 66 inches from the top of the MW to the floor. My measurements were 36 1/2 inches from the top of the MW to the top of the cooktop and 72 inches from the top of the MW to the floor. It’s well within the specifics. The size of the microwave is 16 1/4 inches in height and 29 7/8 inches in length which is the demensions as designed. Using my tape measure, I place the end on the cooktop and advanced it up the front of the microwave to show that the front burners are well in front of the microwave and even with the venthood fan on

I cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit operated as designed. I placed the unit in manual test mode and tested the water valves and found that the cold water valve was slow to dispense and would continue to run even after the valve was shut off. I tested the hot water valve and it too was slow to start, but in the end after the valve was turned off, the water continued flowing. I removed and replaced the water inlet valve ad tested and the unit operated as designed with no error codes in the end. I advised the customer of my findings and repairs. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I checked the RC temp and it was at 37.7 degrees and the coil was clear. The FC temp was at -1.1 degrees. The ice maker had no error codes. I ran the harvest cycle and it dumped the ice. Ms stated that she found out that the washer sounds normal but was concerned about green rubber type particles that had been coming out of the washer and into the clothes. I took photos of the green particles. I checked the tub and under the wash plate and it was clean. Ms stated that Customer Care told her that it was probably a releasing agent use on the mold when the tubs are made that probably wasn’t removed properly. I checked the unit for stored fault codes and there were none. I ran the auto diagnostics cycle and the unit sounds and works as designed. I called techline and spoke with David SR# 7723385763. David said he had never heard of this but documented my findings. Call complete.

ICE MACHINE KITCHENAID KUIC15PHZS0 "Arrived onsite for the icemaker that the needs cleaning light remains on after a cleaning cycle was run and in a regular cycle the reservoir fills and it starts circulating then drains out. I found the WLS defective causing the cleaning cycle to get interrupted, the control defaulting to a 3 minute fill time, and causing the reservoir to drain in a regular cycle just like it’s stated in TSP# 10747218 I quoted the customer SENSOR . I replaced the sensor and tested the unit. The units water fill cycle cycled off on the sensor like it should. I set the unit in a cleaning cycle and explained to mr that the needs cleaning light should go out now and if not to give us a call because the control would need to be replaced. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete."
