DRYER GE GFDR485EF1RR "Arrived onsite for the dryer that sometimes starts and other times it only hums. Mr stated the drum will start on the bulky setting but it only hums on other settings. I tested the dryer and found it only starting in bulky/bedding and towels/sheets. I found the motor only humming in all the other settings after start is selected. I checked error codes and had a 009 drum motor error. I found the centrifugal switch not working correctly on the motor. I found the reversing relay not working correctly on the main PCB. The control and motor need to be replaced to complete service make the repairs. Nobody was onsite to sign the ticket."

I manually tested the spin and agitate modes. During high spin, the unit began to make a screaming noise. I tilted the unit back and inspected underneath and found gearcase oil on the drain pump and rotor. I advised the customer of my findings. I removed and replaced the gearcase and clutch and calibrated the unit. I tested the unit again and it operated as designed. I tested in manual mode and during high spin the unit operated as designed with no unusual noises. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

WASHER MAYTAG MVWX655DW1 "arrived on site to inspect washer leaking water. Upon further inspection, I found where water had leaked from the back near the valves. I ran the unit in diagnostics with no error codes and it operated as designed. I found no leaks during diagnostics. I did find that the hoses had been leaking at the connection with the valves and it appears they’ve been leaking for a while due to the amount of corrosion on the connections. I tilted the unit back and found a small amount of oil debris on the cam. I advised the customer of my findings and removed and replaced the gearcase, cam and water valves. The customer provided a new set of hoses and I installed them as well. Calibrated the unit then tested and the unit operated as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

MICROWAVE KITCHENAID KMHS120ESS1 "Arrived onsite for the microwave that continues to run with the door open. Ms stated the light doesn’t always turn on when the door is opened and it doesn’t always turn off when the door is closed. I found the unit working as designed when I tested it but I did find the door out of alignment because the vent grille had come partially out and was keeping the top of the door from closing properly and engaging the door switches properly. I found the grill broken because there were no metal clips or screws in the grille. I put a screw in the right side of the grille to prevent it from coming off and affecting the door closure. Need to replace the grille. screws, and clips to complete service. Having the customer monitor the performance until we return just in case there is a door switch issue. WASHER MAYTAG MHWC7500YW0 "Arrived onsite replace the previous diagnosed parts for the unit not spinning. I tested the unit and found it not reaching max speed in the spin cycle. I could hear noise from the tub bearing. I spun the basket by hand and could feel drag from the bearing. I could also move the basket up and down and feel some play in the bearing. Will need to replace the tub and basket to complete service along with possibly the MCU. The ice maker housing showed water marks under the gear head area, but there were no signs of overfill on the ice maker body and I found no other signs of water incursion. I suspect condensate from air leaking into the housing, or a restriction of the cold air supply duct from the fc, as the cause of the issue. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."
