Customer also noted that the bottom of the fresh food door protrude farther out than the freezer door tech line recommended adding permagum to the gasket this has helped but it is still not perfect. DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL WDT730PAHZ0 "arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Before installing new UI and main control, I checked ohms to the element at the control and found it open. I checked ohms at the elements connections verifying that the wiring harness was not bad and again, I found it open. As I went to replace the element, I opened the part box that I was sent with and found that I had the wrong part. I notified the office of my findings and another tech was I; my area and had the part needed. Once the tech brought me the part needed, I removed and replaced the element and tested the unit and it operated as designed. I verified the element was working by pouring water on it and it sizzled as expected. No water leaks observed during service, job completed. I am returning the element that has been sent with me that is wrong. Office has been notified."

Using my multimeter, I verified ohms to the bake element and the broil element. I checked ohms to the thermostat and it was open. I removed and replaced the thermostat and tested the unit with it out of the wall and it operated as designed. I placed the unit back in its place and tested one more time on Bake at 350 degrees and the unit began to heat up and the display was showing the correct temperature. Job completed."

WASHER WHIRLPOOL MVWB765FW2 "arrived on site to inspect washer making loud noise in spin cycle. Upon further inspection, the customer had a load of wash going so I stopped the cycle and let the unit drain. I placed the unit in diagnostics to test with no error codes. I ran the unit in manual test mode to drain the remaining water and spin the wet clothing and in the process of spinning, the unit wash making a loud grinding/screaming noise. Once I had the clothing removed I tilted the unit back to inspect the rotor, stator and gearcase. It looked fine so I placed the unit in manual test mode again and placed it in high spin and the unit continued to make the noise. I advised the customer that the unit needs a clutch and gearcase. I removed and replaced the gearcase and clutch and test the unit again and it operated as designed with no more loud noise. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Ms stated that the only thing the unit will do is drain when power from the wall switch is applied and nothing responds from the control panel. I tested the control panel and found none of the selections responding. I found the molex connector from the UI to the control had disconnected because the harness had gotten stuck to the rubber sound barrier on the inner door. I tie wrapped the harness to prevent this from happening again. I found the drain line running down hill from the disposal and I tie wrapped it and put a loop above the disposal. Call complete.

I explained that there could still be a fan issue or TOD issue with the unit and I wouldn’t know until the fuse was replaced. I replaced the thermal fuse and tested the oven. The door unlocked but the oven didn’t heat. I found the fan working good but the TOD was open. I replaced the TOD and retested the oven. The unit is working as designed. I showed ms that there was an existing hole cutout in the bottom of the cabinet and explained this needed to get closed up before attempting another clean cycle. Call complete.

Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with error code F4E3 showing. I cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit never dispensed the tub and the motor came on. I stopped the testing and checked the water line under the sink and found it was turned off. I turned the water on and began testing again. The unit operated as designed with no error codes at the end. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

OVEN WHIRLPOOL WFE515S0ES1 "arrived on site to inspect oven temps on a range. Upon further inspection, I checked the main control to see if the unit had been calibrated by pressing and holding the Bake button for 5 seconds. I found that the unit was calibrated minus -30 degrees. I recalibrated to zero degrees and tested on Bake mode at 350 degrees using my thermalcouple and placing my thermal lead in the middle of the center rack. My temp reading at the 350 preheat was 359 degrees. My next two temp readings were 383 and 330 degrees. My average temp is 357 degrees. I left the calibration at zero (0) degrees due to my final readings. Customer not available to sign receipt. Job completed."

I found the prior diagnosis of the thermistors incorrect and they both tested within specification at 3.053 and 3.102 KOhms at 69.2 degrees, well within mfg specifications temp/ohms curve. The thermistor was placed correctly. I found large gapping at the rc drain tube connection and sealed. The right door was sagging to the left badly and I corrected. The chassis was out of square and I corrected. The ice maker housing was not fully seated and causing the ice bin door gasket to fold and leak air and I corrected. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

I tested all fans and they were working as designed. I advised the customer they had experienced a freeze up and it was stopping airflow and creating subsequent cooling issues. The customer will defrost the unit for 48 hours and I advised them to place several towels and check periodically to prevent spillage if the catch pan overfills. No leaks observed during service.
