Upon further inspection, I opened the unit door and the customer pointed out the residue at the vent on the upper right side. I removed the back cover and the lint chute to inspect and fund no residue. I advised the customer that the residue is from the dyes of new clothing. Customer said they recently washed/dried new towels that were grey. Using a magic eraser, I removed most of the residue and advised the customer that it won’t effect the dryer; that it’s basically a discoloring from the clothing. I checked the element and it is operating as designed. No lint observed during service, job completed."

Upon further inspection, I found that the customer had the unit uninstalled and sitting in the living room due to the unit leaking and they had a fan drying the space where the unit sits. Customer advised that he saw that the unit was leaking from the diverter area. Also, it appears that the unit was or has been leaking for. The water inlet as there is evidence of a leak on the hose, inlet and rusted clamp. Also, I found that the element is badly warped and would require replacement.Due to unit not being connected to water, no water leaks observed during service, job completed. The unit will need the sump/motor assembly, water inlet and gasket, 2 clamps, element, and fill hose to complete the repair."

WASHER WHIRLPOOL WFW94HEAW0 "arrived on site to inspect washer not filling. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F8E1-long fill. Cleared the codes and continued with testing. Unit operated as designed and filled with both hot and cold as all valves were functioning. During testing, I found a lot of detergent going into the tub. After testing, I removed the dispenser to clean out detergent residue and found the plastic of a pod stuck inside the dispenser. I advised the customer that the plastic was blocking the dispenser waterway and causing the sensors to sense that water was not flowing properly. Once I removed the plastic, I retested the unit and it operated as designed showing no error codes. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Removed left side panel to access bake element terminals. The bake element has burned in two and will need to be replaced. The control is no longer putting power to the bake element so the control will need to be replaced.
