REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL GI5FSAXVY02 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator ice maker not working. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the ice maker was not working and one of the ice bin auger fins had broken but the dispenser still worked. I removed the ice maker and removed the ice stuck inside and reinstalled it. Using my jumper wire, I tested the ice maker motor jumping T and H and the motor did not start. I tested voltage to the ice maker and it was good I removed and replaced the ice maker and tested it and the unit operated as designed. The ice maker began to harvest and at the end of harvesting, water dispensed into the reservoir. The customer advised that they did not want to purchase an ice bin at this time since it still works. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I tested the unit in manual mode and it filled with good water flow in both hot and cold valves. I tested within automatic test mode and it operated as designed with the correct level. I’m suspicious that the code occurred during installation and the water may not have been turned in initially. I discussed detergent usage and amount with the customer and found they have very small loads. I advised less detergent and left a mark on the detergent cup for them. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

MICROWAVE WHIRLPOOL WOC54EC0AS04 "arrived on site to inspect oven temps. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they turned the unit on Bake at 375 degrees and it burned the food. When I looked at the display, I noticed that the unit was set to Celsius and not Fahrenheit. I advised the customer of this and advised that when they set the unit to 375 it was actually 700 degrees Fahrenheit. I corrected the issue and changed it to Fahrenheit. I tested the unit and it was heating properly. Job completed"

DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL WDF520PADM7 WDF520PADM Arrived on site. Checked dishwasher for lights flashing on control panel and not starting. Ran diagnostic test cycle and had no stored error codes. Dishwasher ran all the way through diagnostics and during drain the console lights went blank. Pressed cancel/drain and the it would light up but immediately shut back off. Ohmed the the drain pump and it read 36 ohms which is in normal range. Ran test cycle again and it made it through drain and heater activation. Found start/cancel button on control is faulty causing unit to power down intermittently. Replaced control and ran test cycle. All functions of dishwasher check good after repair. No water leaks present. Job complete

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the door to the unit was difficult to close and sometimes would not close. Eventually, the customer slammed the door and walked away and when he returned, the unit was completely dead with no power. I unplugged the unit and removed the control panel and the fuse. Using my multimeter, I tested ohms to the fuse ad found it open. I tested ohms to the bottom switch and found it open as well. I advised the customer of my findings and removed and replaced the fuse, all three switches and both interlocks. I tested the unit with a cup of water and it heated. Job completed."
