I removed the unit from the wall and installed the sensor and when I went to install the UI console and main control, I found that the control board ordered was the UI board. I was able to get the correct control board so I removed and replaced the main control board and the UI console. Tested the unit and my readings were 327 at the 350 preheat. My next five readings were 341, 313, 406, 363 for an average of 350 degrees. I advised the customer of my repairs and provided some use & care tips as well. Job completed."

When I went to removed the ice maker cover to test, it harvested some ice and then dispensed water into the ice maker. Customer advised that they have been having issues with the ice collecting in the bin and not dispensing. Tested the dispenser and it operated as designed as well. I advised the customer that if the unit is not dispensing ice to remove the bin and check to ma,e sure the ice isn’t clumping together ad to check the ice chute to make sure there’s no ice jamming the chute and keeping the ice door open to allow warm air inside the bin to melt the ice. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL GX5FHTXVY07 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator temps. Upon further inspection, I tested the temps in the RC=16 degrees and the FC=2 degrees. I found that the thermostat was turned up to Max on the RC section. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested mode #1 and found that the defrost thermostat was shorted out. I removed the FC door and drawers and found that the Evap cover had a large amount of ice built up on it. I removed the ice and cover and found that the evaporator had a large block of ice on the upper right side. Once I removed the ice, I found that the connections to the thermostat had ice in them and that they had not been sealed with silicone the last time the thermostat had been replaced which caused it to short out. I got authorization from the office to replace the harness and control (if needed). I removed and replaced the harness and tested the unit and it operated as designed.
