RANGE KITCHENAID KSDG950ESS1 Arrived onsite for the range that shuts down when using the oven. After talking with mr I found out the cooktop doesn’t work either when the control panel goes dead. I explained to mr that if neither one are working there is an electrical problem with L1. Because of the install I told mr I would call techline to confirm my diagnosis. I spoke with Ed at techline file# 7723606720. Ed agreed with my diagnosis. The circuit breaker was at 62 degrees when I arrived and when I left with the range running it had climbed to 76 degrees and we could smell an electrical burning smell coming from the breaker. Advised mr to call an electrician. Call complete.

MICROWAVE WHIRLPOOL WMH31017HS2 Arrived onsite for the microwave that the cavity light stays on with the door closed. I found this unit to be one of the new 4 switch style door interlocks. There was no schematic in SM on this unit. I called techline and spoke with Rick file# 7723607937. Rick didn’t have a schematic either and advised changing the main control. Ms walked in before I started and stated it was the hood light that was the issue. Ms stated at first it wouldn’t turn off and then it started blowing bulbs as soon as they were put in. I changed the control and tested all 3 setting for the hood light. The light was working as designed. Call complete.

I pressed on the knob for the right rear burner and the Ignitor arched and the when I turned the gas on to the right front burner, it ignited. I raised the unit from its space and removed the top to find that the wiring harness to the right front valve was broken and would not engage when pushed down on the knob/valve. I removed and replaced the harness and tested and the unit operated as designed. I advised the customer of my findings. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed."

Upon further inspection, the customer played a video that she made of the unit while it was in spin cycle and from the video, everything looked and sounded normal. I placed the unit in manual test mode and tested the high spin and it operated as designed. I took the unit out of diagnostics and tilted the unit back to look underneath at the components and everything looked good. I advised the customer that the unit is good. Found inlet water is very orange and starts off with good pressure then pressure steadily drops. This happens with both hot and cold but cold water pressure is very low. Ran test cycle and found fill volume starts off good for about 5 seconds and then pressure drops. All other functions of washer check good. He advised only ice maker and water pressure could cause this issue. It’s icemaker has already been replaced the advice checking water pressure to refrigerator with water pressure meter. Advise water pressure must be between 30 psi and 120 psi. I Deleigh water pressure should be at 60 PSI to prevent problems. Office will need to locate water pressure meter and set return appointment. Found harness connector for heater not fully seated, corrected the connection and verified voltage to heater and heater function. After control replacement all functions check good. COOKTOP WHIRLPOOL CVE3401W "CVE3401W Arrived on site. Checked cooktop for none of the elements working. Found L2 wire it at the terminal block melted and wire broken. Trimmed wiring back and refit connection with a new wire nut. Powered unit back on and the breaker tripped. Rechecked all wiring and inspected all wiring inside the unit. Found infinite switch for left front element shorted. Right side burners work but left does not. Found another wire burnt at 3 pin connector under left side switches. Cut the red wire out and spliced the wires with wire nut. Tested again and braker kept tripping. Called tech line and went through wiring on switch and all findings with electrical issues to this point. L2 was removed from the faulty switch and all 3 other elements work. Was advised switch was shorted. Replaced switch again with wiring to switch verified by tech line. Tested unit and exact same symptoms of braker arcing. Discussed with customer and with both switches installed shorted due

DRYER WHIRLPOOL WED8540FW1 "WED8540FW1 Arrived to inspect no heat. I found the unit would power up, but not heat. Inspection revealed L1 and L2 connections reversed, but not consequential. The L2, connected to the unit’s L1 connection showed 124.8 VAC. The L2 terminal had 6.5 VAC and when tested L1 to L2, showed 86 VAC. I advised the customer of my findings and that they will need to contact a qualified electrician to corrected the voltage supply issue. I found the terminal block was not correctly installed and mounting hardware loose and I corrected. No lint within newer chassis, no leaks observed during service."

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the rc section was not cooling due to the fc evaporator freezing up. I found that the fc door gasket is badly gapped and cannot be fixed. The gaskets on the rc and fc doors are very hard and both need replacing; however, neither gasket is available anymore. I advised the customer of my findings and notified the office EB and explained the situation. The office will contact AHS regarding this unit. Pictures taken. I inspected the entire electrical system and found no deficiencies, but operation suddenly returned. I am suspicious the gas valve connection may have had a connection issue and resetting connections corrected. Operational test good, no gas leaks detected during service."

DISHWASHER MAYTAG MDB4949SDZ0 "arrived on site to inspect a dishwasher with no heat. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with no error codes in the beginning. I continued with testing and the unit operated as designed with no error codes in the end and the heating element was operating also as I poured water on it and it sizzled. While I had the unit door opened, I went to pull the top rack out and found that the left side wheel/mount assembly was loose and needed to be tightened. I pulled the unit from its place and tightened the screws on the mount and tested the upper rack and it is good now. I advised the customer of my findings/repairs. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

RANGE WHIRLPOOL WFG320M0BS0 "arrived on site to inspect range having a delayed ignition. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit was turned on and the oven didn’t light for a long time, then when it did light, there was a loud boom. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked for error codes and there were none. I took it out of diagnostics and turned the unit on Bake at 350 degrees and removed the bottom cover to expose the Ignitor and burner. The Ignitor came on and flowed for almost 3 minutes but the burner never ignited. I turned the unit off and unplugged it and removed the back bottom cover to expose the Ignitor wires and the safety valve. Using my multimeter, I verified ohms to the safety valve and Ignitor. Both were good; however, the Ignitor appears to be weak due to the burner not igniting and one could smell gas. I removed and replaced the Ignitor and tested the unit and within seconds, the burner ignited. I advised the customer of my finding and repair.
