Upon further inspection, the customer had the unit cleared out with the doors open and the thermostats turned all the way down/off. They advised that they noticed water leaking from the fc section of the unit. I turned the thermostats on to the manufacturers recommended settings. The Evap fan was on but the unit did not begin to cool. I removed the Evap cover to inspect the evaporator and found no frost pattern. I pulled the unit from its space and removed the back cover to expose the compressor and its components. The compressor was extremely hot and the condenser line was warm at the compressor but room temp at the condenser. I heard the start device pop so using my multimeter, I tested the compressor amps. At first, there were no amps at the compressor, but when the start device kicked on I was reading 13 amps but never got below 8 amps I left the unit unplugged. No water leaks observed during

WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW4800XQ2 "arrived on site to inspect washer basket coming off suspension. Upon further inspection, I opened the lid and found the basket leaning to the back left side. I found that the suspension rod had jumped out of the suspension ball causing the basket to bang around in the chassis. I tilted the unit back to inspect underneath and found some oil residue on the pulley shield. I opened the top panel and removed the tub ring, washplate and basket then tilted the unit back and removed and replaced the gearcase. I removed and replaced the suspension and put the unit back together and calibrated the unit. After calibration, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested. The unit operated as designed with no error codes showing. I placed the unit in manual test mode and tested high agitation and high spin. The unit performed as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

The video showed the unit in agitate/wash model and was making a loud metal on metal noise as if it were banging against something in the back right corner and front left corner. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with no error codes showing. The unit operated as designed with no error codes at the end of testing. The unit did not make seal noises. I placed the unit in manual test mode and tested agitate and high speed spin. During agitate without water in the tub, the unit agitated two times and stopped and showed OL on the display. Upon further inspection, using my multimeter, I placed my thermal lead in the bottom of the rc section to test temps. My temp reading was 42 degrees but the unit was set on 33 degrees. The fc section temp was 9 degrees on a setting of 0 degrees. I opened the crisper drawer and removed the drawer and found a large block of ice on the rc section Evap cover. I then looked in fc section and found a large block of ice on the fc evap cover. When I closed the fc door, I found a large gap in the upper left corner of the fc door gasket. I advised the customer of my findings and asked that she sign a Waiver of Damages when defrosting the refrigerator. I explained that they would need to unplug the unit at least 48 hours before the scheduled return service on 01/07/19 and to place towels around the unit to protect the baseboards. DRYER WHIRLPOOL WED4815EW1 "arrived on site to inspect dryer not drying clothes. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that she is having to dry clothes at least two times just to get her clothes dry. Using a dryer vent test kit I had on my service van, I tested the airflow from the unit. After two unsuccessful tests, I advised the customer that the venting needs to be checked. I opened the top panel and turned the unit on and did not see the element come on. Using my multimeter, I verified ohms to the element and fuse and found that the cutoffs were open. I removed and replaced the cutoffs and tested the unit again and this time the unit operated as designed. I advised the customer to contact the apartment manager or maintenance and let them know that the venting needs to be checked. I left the vent test connected inside the unit for the customer to show the apartment representative that the airflow is not good. No lint observed during service, job completed."

Unit is not cycling properly and every time I put unit into diagnostics unit would completely power cycle and reset. Was not able to run any test through diagnostics at this time. Defrost failure caused by user interface miscommunication with RC evaporator and RC temperature sensors. Power cycling most likely caused by pantry control. Sensor harness, user interface, and pantry control will need to be replaced to complete repairs. Advised homeowner on possible other failures due to electrical short. Homeowner want to contact whirlpool prior to proceeding with repairs due to age of unit.
