"arrived on site to inspect refrigerator frost/ice buildup in both the RC and FC sections. I tested temps in the RC=3 degrees and FC=-4 degrees. I found that the RC evaporator was covered with ice. I checked the FC evaporator and it had a good frost pattern. I was able to get the RC Evap cover off, but the styrofoam insulation was iced to the evaporator. I advised the customer of my findings and had the customer sign the waiver of damages from defrosting refrigerator and advised that I will have to reschedule service and have them defrost the unit 24-48 hours before I return. I advised the customer to place towels around the unit to prevent any water damage to baseboards. I am ordering the air tower, fan scroll and harness to the FC Evap and will return with all prescreened parts. I unplugged the unit and waited 30 seconds and plugged it back in and no change. I removed the back cover to inspect the compressor and found the drier with ice built up on it. The compressor was hot to the touch and the lines were room temp. I suspect a restriction in the line somewhere and am ordering a sealed system. Arrived onsite to replace the previous diagnosed parts. I replaced the smart valve and tested the unit. The water started running and stoped again. I removed the water line at the bottom of the FC door and tested with the same result. I removed the SS hose from the unit and tested the wall valve filling a 44oz cup. About a 1/3 of the cup filled up with black granules that came from a filter ms had under her sink. I removed the line coming out of the filter head and tested again and was only getting a small stream of water thru the head. Need to replace the head and possibly the valve again after blowing the lines out. Ordering VALVE & HOUSING. ordrng 1 WPW10121140 (HOUSING) and 1 WPW10159840 (VALVE)

"arrived on site to inspect refrigerator leaking water. Upon further inspection, the customer provided a photo of what was going on inside the FC section. It appears that the unit is freezing up. I tested temps in the FC=19 degrees and RC=40 degrees. I inspected the evaporator and tested the thermistor and found the thermistor open. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the thermistor and it showed it to be open. I removed ad replaced the evaporator thermistor and tested and it is good. The unit was cooling properly and the evaporator began to make a good frost pattern. I advised the customer of my findings and repairs. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."
