REFRIGERATOR KITCHENAID KRSC500ESS00 Arrived onsite for the refrigerator with a no ice condition. I ran test 44 and the icemaker went thru the harvest properly. I ran test 45 and could not hear the valve energize. I disconnected the tubing at the bottom of the door and ran test 45 again and found the icemaker fill valve working as designed. The freezer temp was at 0 degrees. The water line in the door is frozen causing the icemaker not to fill. The insulation in the door is broken down and the door will need to be replaced. Upon further inspection, I found that the water dispenser was working ad dispensing properly. The customer provided a video of the dispenser not working. From a previous experience of the same issue with the same model numbered unit, I removed and replaced the water line with an apex line and a pressure regulator. I tested the water dispenser and it operated as designed. Also, I found that the dispenser shield is broken and will need to be replaced. I found a sheet of ice in the bottom of the RC. I removed the ice and defrosted the coil. I pulled the unit out and removed the drain line. I found a red grape in the drain tube restricting the tube and causing the water to back up in defrost and freeze. I removed the red grape. The unit is working as designed. The customer refuses to pay the labor because she said she couldn’t have gotten a grape in the tube. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

The customer found a rack wheel in the tub. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with error code F8E2 showing. I cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit operated as designed with no error codes at the end. I found that all four lower rack wheels will need to be replaced as they are all falling off. I removed the gasket from the door and when I opened the box for the new gasket I found it twisted badly on both sides and the plastic out of shape. I also found one corner partially torn and another corner with the magnetic strip coming out. I heated the gasket and got it installed good enough to keep the customer from loosing product but will need to order another gasket and RS the call.
