REFRIGERATOR KITCHENAID KRFC400ES00 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator no water dispensing. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they replaced the filter and the water barely dispenses. I removed the filter and using a bypass to the housing, I tested the dispenser and it operated as designed. Using the old filter, I installed it and tested the dispenser and it operated as designed. I replaced it with a new filter and it did not work. Looking at the filter, it was not the correct filter for this unit, but the package said it was (off brand). I advised the customer to use Whirlpool approved filters. The filter that was installed was another off brand and it worked. No water leaks observed during service. Job completed."

COOKTOP KITCHENAID KCGS556ESS02 "arrived on site to inspect cooktop burners. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the middle burner was making a ticking noise when lit. I tested the unit and I could hear a popping noise while the burner was on and some of the areas on the burner head there was no flame. I removed the burner head and found the orifice holder had debris from food spillage. I removed the orifices and found them dirty. I cleaned the orifices and the orifice holder was cleaned. Tested the unit and it operated as designed. I tested the remaining burners and all operated as designed. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed."

I ran the unit through a complete service test mode, resetting the control and monitoring current draw of the heater. The heating issue was corrected and the heater drew the correct amps. I advised the customer to use less detergent (pods were being used,) approximately one tablespoon as a starting point, city water and pre-rinsing considered. I discussed the use of rinse agent and the importance of purging cold water from the sink, prior to use. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service.

OVEN WHIRLPOOL RB270PXYB2 Arrived onsite for the bottom oven not heating up to temp correctly and the top oven display dim. I found the bake temperature on the display for the top oven a little dimmer than normal but it was readable. The time displayed was normal. I found the lower oven thermostat running about 25 degrees too hot. I found the differential in the thermostat at 50 degrees. I calibrated the thermostat and the oven temp cycled between 320-374 leaving it with a 347 degree average temp. I gave me a quote to rebuild the control if she wanted a brighter display and she declined

I verified proper voltage at terminal block on dryer and tested exhaust thermal fuse and found to proper voltage to unit and thermal fuse is good. Removed console to test control and found the harness to the ui was no plugged into the ui. Plugged in and verified operation and found unit working properly. Vacuumed lint from unit and instructed customer that their vent hose is too long and has become pinched and linked and would need to be replaced with a new shorted vent hose. Job complete

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit fan was making a noise and the unit stopped heating on one occasion. Using a cup of water, I tested the unit on one minute quick heat. Once the unit came on, I could hear the noise the unit was making which was not normal. The unit is heating properly. I pulled the unit from its place and once I had the covers removed, I turned the unit on and found that the magnetron duct was loose and warped. I adjusted the duct and remounted it and tested and the unit is operating as designed with no more unusual noises. I advised the customer of my findings. I tested ohms to the thermostats, magnetron and fuse and all were good. Job completed."

Found temperature reach 171°. Called whirlpool tech support and spoke with Kathy.
