Verified drain pump and motor for proper resistance and found to be good with no short. I also ohmed the valves and temp sensor and found that the valves have shorted causing the failure. Unit has a failed control and valve assembly. I was able to get the control covered by manufacturer. I installed the new control and tested. I found that the shorted components were caused by a faulty outlet that has shorted or has a bad connection inside as the outlet was losing power under a load. Plugged into a separate outlet and the unit is operating. Ran calibration for new components and unit is working properly. Instructed customer of electrical issue and recommended having an electrician repair the outlet.

WASHER MAYTAG MVWB835DC3 "arrived on site to inspect washer not filling. Placed the unit in diagnostics and tested with no error codes showing. Unit operated as designed. I visually checked the valve by removing the hoses and found they are clear with fairly new hoses. I ran the unit on a deep water wash cycle and the unit filled just above the washplate like it should. I stopped the cycle and drained the unit and ran it in diagnostics again. No error codes showed and the unit operated as designed. I contacted Techline and spoke to Mark who advised that the unit will put the right amount of water in the basket/tub and not all of the clothing will get submerged in the water. Made reference to Troubleshooting on pages 14-15 of Owners Manual. Provided file #7724203469. I advised the customer of my findings and provided use & care tips.
