REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRT518SZFM00 Arrived onsite for the refrigerator with ice and dispenser concerns. This unit does not have a dispenser. Ms stated that neither compartment is cooling correctly. I found the compressor overload tripping after the compressor started and would run for about 5 seconds. I checked the windings on the compressor and they tested good. I found the compressor drawing 12.67 amps the entire time in start before tripping the overload and never switching to run. Need to replace the start device to complete service. I tested within service test mode and found no stored errors and allowed the unit to complete service test mode with all functions present. I advised the customer to use more detergent, as I had them switch types and lower the amount prior. I did hear the sump pulsate several times and it may have been a faulty one installed. Customer complained about silicone coming off at top of FC. Performed diagnostics and gained access to evaporator drain. Removed air chamber and found water com from backside air chamber. Removed ice box and found no in correct position. Waded sealer gum on back side adapter. Found ice underneath drain pan and caused to bow. Removed ice from drain pan and removed drain pan. Installed new drain pan and tested drain. Assembled evaporator panel and air chamber. Removed silicone on top of FC and added silicone between cabinet and cavity. Tested all other operations. All tested good, no water leaks present."

WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW7300DW0 "Arrived onsite for the washer that will not fill with water and makes a grinding noise during spin. I found the washer way out of level and the feet screwed all the way in. I leveled the basket and tub in the chassis. I checked stored error codes and found an F7E5, F3E2, & F7E9. I ran service test 51 and found the unit not filling. I removed and reconnected the valve harness and tested the unit again. I found the unit filling correctly but not agitating or spinning correctly and stopping on cycle 18 during test 51. I found the band on the slider loose and slipping. I adjusted it enough to get it to tighten up and retested the unit. The unit would agitate and spin but during spin the unit would make a rubbing noise during every rotation for a 1/4 turn. I removed the wash plate and the basket and found all clean and clear. I removed the rotor and spun the unit by hand and still had the issue. He attempted to troubleshoot it with no luck. I unplugged the unit and removed the control panel to inspect the bottom switch. Using my multimeter, I tested ohms to the switches and all were good. I pulled the fuse and found it to be open.I removed and replaced the fuse ad tested the unit. It operated as designed, job completed."

The knob is defective and not grabbing the shaft correctly. I showed the customer this on the previous visit and he did not want me to order the knob because of the price. I tested the RR burner and had 247VAC out of the infinite switch I replaced on the previous visit and the heater is no longer working. Mr wants to go ahead and replace the knob.

I centered the basket via leveling legs and tested. The unit had F7E9, F3E2, F7E6 and F0E5 stored in memory. I cleared the codes and calibrated. I then tested within automatic service mode. The gear case made a loud rubbing noise at the same point during rotation. I removed the rotor and found signs of oil loss. I removed and replaced the gear case and then calibrated and tested. The unit operated as designed and no errors were generated. No leaks observed during service, drain safety strap added."

I ran auto diagnostics and the unit only filled to the top of the wash plate and completed the cycle and worked as designed. I ran the delicate cycle with the soil level set on extra light and the unit filled to about 2 inches below the top of the basket. I ran a calibration on the control and repeated the delicate cycle. The unit filled over half full and was still filling when I turned it off. I replaced the control, ran the calibration cycle, and tested the unit again in the delicate cycle. The unit is working as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete."
