I explained to me that the hissing sound was the oven burner making it’s normal sound. The unit didn’t have a gas leak. I explained to me that the unit needs to be run for about 3 hours at a high temp to burn the inside of the oven out and get rid of the smell they are smelling. Call complete.

The cam assembly showed signs of wear and I removed and replaced it. The basket drive hub was then found to not fully engage and it will require replacement. DISHWASHER KITCHENAID KDTM404ESS1 Arrived onsite for the dishwasher not draining. I found the drain pump running but no water flowing. The customer has 2 dishwashers with the drain lines tied into 1 disposal. The plumber had put a brass one way check valve between the dishwasher drain lines and the disposal. I found the flapper in the check valve stuck closed. I freed up the flapper and tested the dishwasher. The unit is draining properly. I tightened the door handle on the unit. I advised mr to have these removed and to loop the drain lines because these check valves require more pressure than these dishwasher drain pumps have to continue to work correctly. Call complete.

Upon further inspection, the contents in the rc section were removed and I removed the Evap cover and found a nice frost pattern on the evaporator. Customer concern was a small puddle of water in front of the evaporator cover on the bottom of the rc cabinet had frozen over. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked the thermistors and both were good. I tested in service test #4 and the unit operated as designed. I advised the customer of my findings. Dryer cycled up to 235 degrees with vent tube off and climbed to 248 with the dryer vent tube on. Problem is with the duct system/ ventilation system. While testing the unit the display flashed 777 and flickered. I removed and replaced the control board and unit tested as designed. I ran the diagnostics cycle and found 117VAC to the pump and it not running. I replaced the pump and motor and ran the diagnostics cycle again after clearing the stored codes. DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL WDT780SAEM1 Arrived onsite for the dishwasher that has a black film building up on the interior tub. I found the entire tub and inner door with a rust type of film on it. I tested the machine in diagnostics and found no stored error codes. The machine almost completed the cycle and the pump stopped when it should have been running and the unit completed the rest of the cycle. I ran the diagnostics cycle again and the pump didn’t start up immediately. The pump started after the detergent door opened and ran the remaining time of the cycle until the unit drained. The pump has voltage to it the entire time so something in the pump motor is shorting out. I replaced the pump and motor. I tested the unit in diagnostics and it completed the cycle and worked as designed. I started a cycle using an Affresh tablet to clean the inside of the machine for the customer. Call complete.

The unit had DC voltage present on both the 5 and 12 VDC supplies, per test 1 in the service manual, after verifying correct line voltage supply to the unit. Verifying power to the UI, I removed and replaced it and tested. The unit worked as designed and all functions were present. I noted a slight amount of moisture at the front of the unit and suspect it from cold air from the venting condensing within the chassis and advised the customer. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRV986FDEM00 "Arrived onsite for the refrigerator not cooling correctly. Mr stated the LED lights stop working and when this happens the dispenser will not work but the UI and the deli UI are both lit. Mr also described hearing the 3 way valve going to home position constantly when this happens indicating the unit is loosing power and resetting itself. I found the FC at 0 degrees and set at 0 degrees. I found the RC at 32 degrees when set at 37 degrees and still cooling. I had to set the UI at 40 degrees to get the unit to turn off. I found the UI very dim. Ordering and replacing the LED control, the UI control, and either the fan and harness or the main control depending on the thermistor reading on the return visit. But because of what the controls are doing, ordering the rest of the controls just Incase. Ordering C-notes, W10804160 CNTRL-ELEC & WPW10624574 CNTRL-ELEC.
