Using my heat gun, I shaped the gasket before putting it on then shaped it some more after placing it on the door. Checked for any gaps and found none. While testing in spin, I could hear a screeching noise at the beginning ad it would fade away. The customer played a video of the unit and it sounded like rocks inside the basket while spinning. I removed the basket and found a piece of metal in the bottom of the tub in the drain area. I tilted the unit back and found a large amount of gearcase oil on the pulley shield. I removed and replaced gearcase and cam and cleaned the oil off of the shield and other parts and tested. Unit operates as designed. I advised the customer of my findings. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I found that the tension pulley wheel axle had a large amount of debris built up on it and it was causing the wheel to stick to the axle. I removed and replaced all four rollers, tension pulley roller and the belt. Removed the lint from the unit and tested and the unit operated as designed.
