Upon further inspection, the customer advised that he just got back from traveling and found the unit not functioning and oxidation from a water leak at the back on the unit. I found evidence of a water leak coming from the valve area. I placed the unit in diagnostics and it showed error code F8E1. I cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit failed to dispense cold water during testing, but otherwise, it operated as designed. I removed the console and found where water had leaked from the solenoid/cold valve area. I remove and replaced the valve and retested and the unit operated as designed. I advised the customer of my findings and repairs. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Using my jumper wire, I tested the IM by jumping T & H and at first the ice maker did not operate, but when I touched the motor wheel, it began to harvest. I advised the customer that I did not feel comfortable with it’s operations and will replace it. I contacted the office and got authorization to replace the IM. I removed and replaced the ice maker and as soon as I plugged it in, it began to harvest then dispensed water into the tray. I advised the customer to give the IM approximately as hours to fully operate and to discard the first two makes due to me having my hands on the ice maker. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I found that the serial numbers do not match what shows in SD-Mobile. Customer advised that the previous unit was replaced with this unit. I changed the serial number in SD-Mobile ad took photo in SD-QuickPic then notified the office (SC) of the change. Also found that the unit is not level as the RC door is lower than the left FC door. I leveled the unit ad tightened the leveling nut on the RC door at the bottom hinge to secure it. Advised customer of my repairs. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I removed the outer panel and drum and found that the pulley wheel did not move freely due to the axle being badly gunked up. The two back rollers did not move well either. I removed and replaced the dryer repair kit consisting of four (4) rollers and the pulley wheel. The unit belt was in good condition ad did not require replacement. I opened and closed the door and found it rubbing on the upper right corner. I leveled the unit and placed it in diagnostics showing error code F5E1. I cleared the code and continued with testing. Unit operated as designed and during the entire test, the door never opened until I opened it at the end of testing. ICE MACHINE KITCHENAID KUIX305ESS2 Arrived onsite for the ice machine not making the correct ice size and water running. Mr stated that the ice size was fine it’s just the ice is wet and water runs out of the reservoir overflow constantly. I tested the unit and found the fill time of the reservoir defaulting to the control max time out of 2 minutes and the water level sensor not registering when the reservoir was full. I changed the pump and tested the unit having the same results. I checked the sensor wires from the control to the sensor for continuity and found the brown wire open. I checked it from the control to the upper molex connector and found it good. I replaced the lower harness with the evaporator thermistor and tested the unit still getting the same results. I changed the main control and tested the unit. The unit is working as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

OVEN WHIRLPOOL WOD51EC0AS04 "arrived on site to inspect oven cleaning. Upon further inspection, I found that the customer had placed foil on the bottom panel of both the upper and lower ovens. I advised that there is nothing that will take it off. I contacted Techline and spoke to Kevin and advised of the foil being cooked onto the bottom panel and if there’s something the customer can use to remove it. Kevin advised that he has nothing listed on file to use to get it off. He suggested using a plastic putty knife and attempt to get it off that way and provided File #7725362312. I advised the customer to heat the unit on Bake at 350 degrees and wait for approximately 30-40 mins and then take the plastic putt6 knife and see if the foil will come off and to be careful not to melt the putty knife onto the bottom panel.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRS576FIDM01 "Arrived on site to diagnose ice room leaking. Ran diags and verified all is fine, water test however, only filled 4-5 cubes. Water pressure very poor at dispenser also. Pulled unit out a bit and verified proper water pressure indicating possible kink behind fridge. If ice maker doesn’t fill all the way, it may not release all cubes how it should and tilt tray sideways and cause the leaks. Customer mentioned sometimes the water pressure will be lower than other times. If issue persists, water filter head may need replaced but unable to diagnose it properly at this point and informed customer to monitor the ice production. Found no leaks at time of svc call.
