Arrived onsite for a washer that won’t unlock at the end of a cycle. Mr stated the problem is very erratic and he has to power cycle the unit to get it to unlock. I only found an F0E1 stored error. I question the customer is the cycles were taking longer and the drain pump was continuing to run and they stated no that the unit completes the cycle properly but won’t unlock. I checked the connections at the door lock and the control. Both were good. I ran the auto diagnostics cycle and the unit completed the cycle and worked as designed.

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that sometimes the lights will turn on right away and sometimes they don’t and after being on for a while, they dim and turn off. When the customer went to turn the lights on, they failed to come on as when she tried again they came on. I found that the right light connection was not fully connected and when I touched it, it came unplugged. I removed the transformer and found the light wiring harness zip ties together too tight. "Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher no functions. Upon further inspection, I attempted to start the unit and it failed. I checked voltage at the outlet and junction box and got 124V. Removed the control housing and found the control indicator blinking 7x within 3 seconds. Checked the tech sheet and found the CSM was tripped and needed to be reset. Placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the unit to clear the operated as designed. Took unit out of diagnostics and started it in a normal wash and checked the control. I removed the console and inspected the control, bimetal, and ribbon and found a small black spot on the ribbon. Contacted techline and spoke to Joel and advised of my findings. Per service pointer #W10727550B, Joel provided an SCODE-S25453 and file #7727704730 and advised to replace the console as whirlpool will cover only the part. I removed and replaced the console and tested the unit and it is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."
