REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF993FIFM00 Arrived onsite for refrigerator not making ice in FC and frosting up in upper FC shelf. Upon inspection I found a gap in the FC gasket upper right side brackets look slightly warped. I found frost and ice sickles built up along the roof of the FC. I also noticed the ice maker water inlet was frozen with ice blocking water flow to the IM. I removed the ice maker and steamed out the water inlet. I then ran diagnostics on all defrost functions and IM water dispenser. All passed. I was able to manipulate the right side bracket slightly to re secure the seal. I was not able to find a ice maker harvest test in the tech sheet so I advised the customer to monitor ice production for a few days and give us a call back if there is any more issues with the IM.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRS311SDHM02 Arrived onsite for refrigerator FC losing cool and thawing frozen foods. Upon inspection I found the refrigerator had tripped its dedicated breaker. I turned the breaker on. I could hear the start device click once then trip the breaker again. I checked continuity at the compressor windings and got 128 ohms on run to ground indicating a burned out compressor motor. Might also have sludge in the system. Unit will need a new compressor and evaporator. Ordering compressor (W10507884) evaporator (WP2188822) drier (W11179385) coupler (W10913906). Requesting SS tech and 2 to 3 hour timeframe for repair. Unit will need to be leveled as it was moved from its original location now in apt# 7207.; ordrng 1 LOCKRING (LOCK RING ) and 1 W10507884 (compressor) and 1 W10913906 (coupler) and 1 W11179385 (drier-tube) and 1 WP2188822 (evaporator)

I power cycled the unit and let the controls reset. I tested the controls and they worked. I entered diagnostics mode and found no fault codes. I put the unit through a diagnostics cycle and a rapid cycle. The unit operated as designed both times.

Upon arrival found that the freezer was actually running about 15° but was trying to freeze but the refrigerator had no cold air under 60° after opening up the freezer and finding out that the unit had a defrost issue with a bad control and thermistor I went ahead and replaced the freezer thermostat as well as the main control and the fresh food compartment and retest of the unit and everything is not working as designed call complete

During testing found that there is no issue with the dryer it is working good and heating properly. Did find a slight restriction in the vent tube in the home. Took vent hose off and found no water inside customer stated that they found water inside the hose after the rain storm that just passed. Also found that the vent hose was extremely long. Shorten up vent hose and advised customer to have someone clean out the vent tube and to look at the vent cap for water leaks . Complete

OVEN WHIRLPOOL KEBS107SSS04 Arrived onsite for oven with burning smell before preheated all the way. Upon inspection I found the junction box hanging down with about 3 feet of wire before the junction and 3 feet of whip wire from the junction to the control. I accessed the top panel and back of the unit. I could not find any visible breaks burns or shorts in the wires. I attempted to recreate the burning by putting the unit into preheat. I noticed the blower fan would click but never turn on. I also noticed some of the insulation around the area and cavity had burned in some spots. I put the unit into diagnostics but could not advance through the error codes the only one displayed indicated a stuck key error. Recommended replacing the control and blower. Possibly the convect fan motor. Will need Control (WPW10119143) blower (WP8303972) convect fan (W10794022)
