DRYER WHIRLPOOL WED5000DW2 "arrived on site to inspect dryer not drying clothes. Upon further inspection, customer advised that the drying times are too long. I opened the door and pressed the door switch to show it closed and turned the unit on. I could see that the element was functioning and illuminating. Using a dryer vent test kit (W11224254) from my service van, I tested airflow to the unit. The unit failed all three times. I disconnected the vent hose from the unit and tested again and the unit passed. I advised the my findings and suggested they have someone check the vents. No lint observed during service, job completed."

Advised that water softeners create excess of suds and will make the machine misregister the water level, and too far lessen the amount of soap to use to prevent over Sudsing condition. also advised to ensure to run the clean washer cycle every 30 loads to prevent build up of excess soap in the machine. DISHWASHER KITCHENAID KDTM354DSS4 "arrived on site to inspect dishwasher making noises during wash cycles. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and it showed error code F9E1 and F8E2. I cleared the codes and continued with testing. The unit began to wash and was making a rattling noise. It appeared the noise was coming from the diverter area (F9E1). When I went to remove the drain pump, I found a piece of glass in the drain area. I removed ad replaced the sump/motor assembly and tested the unit and it operated as designed with no error codes. I advised the customer of my findings and repairs and made recommendations for detergent and rinse aid use and operation and care tips. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Upon further inspection, I found that the door had been removed from the unit and the hinge clips were not set correctly causing the hinges to pop. Due to the clips being badly damaged, they will need to be replaced. After removing ad replacing the hinges and in an attempt to install the door, I found that the left hinge receiver was damaged and would not support the left hinge. Unit door was left off of the unit for safety. Scheduled return service for 04/02/19. I’m ordering the hinge receiver and CNOTE-LSO. I turned the unit en back on at the switch (hardwired) with no change. I checked the breaker ad it appeared to be good. I turned the breaker off and waited then turned it back on and still nothing. I tested voltage at the junction box and found only 1.7V. I tested voltage at the control and got the same results. I tripped the breaker one more time and still nothing. I found one of the fill tube heater wires broken at the molex connector at the door. I stripped the wire and shoved it in the connector to get the unit to work temporarily and ran test 97 after running test 66 and defrosting the tube. The icemaker mold filled with water. While doing the repair the customer contacted Whirlpool and the gave her parts authorization KJIET00FP1 to cover the part. I replaced the fill tube and tested the unit. The unit works as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF560SMYB04 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator temps. Upon further inspection, I checked temps in the RC=52 & FC=1 degree. Placed unit in diagnostics and when I tested the Evap fan nothing came on. I pulled the FC door and drawers and found the Evap cover had ice built up on it. I attempted to remove the cover, but it was frozen to the evaporator. I advised the customer that the unit would need to be defrosted before I could go any further with repairs due to possible damage to other parts of the unit. I had the customer sign a waiver of damages from defrosting refrigerator and advised to place towels around the unit to protect walls and baseboards. Unit is not connected to water so no leaks observed during service. I will return with all prescreened parts. Scheduled return service for 04/02/19.; schdld next appmnt for 4/2 TUE !"

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the “fridge” button would light up on and off on its own and sometimes the temps would change on their own. I found service bulletin REF04-15 which refers to the UI touch keys activating without being touched. It references using an Appliance Programmer WR99R10356 and reprogram the control and not to replace the UI. I attempted to contact GE Techline to get more info on the programmer and could not get I; touch with anyone. I notified the office CS and he advised to close the ticket as complete as he would contact GE Techline tomorrow morning 03/29/19 and find it about the programmer and then contact the customer to reschedule if needed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."
