The cabinet no longer attach to the base due to a rusted cabinet and base (very weak) Plastic parts such as the lid switch (broke in my hand ) and bleach dispenser are brittle and breaking. Machine is in really bad shape advised customer we need further approval to proceed with repair. Washer need the transmission / base / lid switch / clutch and cabinet. I advised office will seek approval for this repair. Customer is in the middle of a remodel washer is outside at the moment with only cold water running to the washer. I recommended running the washer on tap cold until both water supplies are available. I also instructed on the rinse options, customer is operating on a well. I advised customer should use rinse with softener to receive a deep rinse to remove the soil and soap out of the clothing. I also zip tied the drain line to water line to prevent siphoning. Customer advise washer will be in it’s normal place in the next couple of days after the painting and tile work are done. I also instructed on soap use recommended only 1/2 a cap or less depending on load size instead of the full cap the customer was using"

Upon further inspection, the customer had the unit top off and advised that he heard thumping noises and found the drying fan and element no secured ad bouncing around. Tested unit prior to replacing parts found freezer short cycling and evaporator fan only running for a short period of time then cutting off and cycling again. Frost pattern was caused by unit only cooling each section for a very small amount of time and then restarting cycle. Replaced main control and light switch and main control and freezer evaporator fan motor started running but shortly after start up short cycling started again. The dispenser control and pantry control will both need to be replaced to correct cycling issue.
