"arrived on site to inspect dishwasher control panel. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that once the unit was installed, the control panel would not respond. He said he found some of the screws on the door partially installed. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested. Unit operated as designed. I removed the outer door panel and found that the main control was stuck to the inner door panel and when I went to remove the outer door panel, the main control came apart. I advised the customer of my findings and replaced the main control and retested. Unit operated as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to diagnose safety concern related to vent. Examined vent and where vent exits to the front of the unit. Issue was that customer did get a cut on their hand when they were cleaning, since they ran their hand over where the vent was. Checked vent and did not find anything abnormal, defective or out of line. Vent is of sheet metal construction with jagged edges by design. Replacing part will not resolve issue as this is just a rarely touched or accessed part made of sheet metal. To assist customer I used some foil tape and covered the edges to smooth them out if they want to clean the area again. No repair needed. Contacted whirlpool safety team with findings. Call complete."

"arrived on site to inspect range oven no operating. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit on Bake at 350 degrees and the unit never came on. I tested the cooktop burners and they operated as designed. I pulled the unit out and removed the back cover and found the main wiring harness was melted at the terminal block. I found that the harness was not installed correctly and the main harness wiring was loose and not tightened with the power cord harness. I contacted the apartment manager and advised of my findings and advised that I would be ordering the main harness, control and fuse and the office would schedule return service when the parts was left unplugged for safety. I am ordering the main harness, main control & thermal fuse. Office to schedule return service. "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator ice maker not working. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=2 degrees, RC=38 degrees & ice box=1 degree. I verified the wiring harness was good at the bottom left hinge and then placed the unit in diagnostics and test3d the ice maker in test mode 44 & 45. The tray harvested and I could hear the valve humming trying to dispense water into the tray but nothing came out. I disconnected the ice maker water line and tested again and water came out of the line. Using my steamer, I defrosted the fill tube and retested. Unit is operating as designed. I advised the customer of my findings and repairs. Advised the customer if it does it again to leave the FC door open for a few minutes to allow that line to defrost and notify the office. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Upon further inspection, I found the unit pulled out and the power cord removed as the customer and purchased a rental range until theirs could be repaired. Customer reinstalled the power cord and I tested the cooktop burners. The front left burner is where the cooktop glass broke. I found some debris on the cooktop where the chunk of glass broke off. I tested all four burners and all four operated as designed. The customer provided the pot that they were using when the unit “popped” and it is a 5-7 gallon porcelain coated steel pot. I found in the owners manual where it says the pot can’t be more than 1/2 inch larger than the burner and must sit flat on the cooktop.. Checked power at control and verified all connections are good, and pump does have power. Recommended repair is beginning with the UI to resolve the stuck key issue, then reattempting. "Arrived on site and found unit is powered off, customer says it never came out of a clean cycle. Cleaning needed light is still on. After turning on, ice machine began to cycle. Observed it until ice was produced,took one picture. Spoke with whirlpool tech line and they said cleaning cycle may have been interrupted. Possibly by drain pump, power outage, Or some other unknown factor. Passed on to customer that tech line recommends running the cleaning cycle again for the full 90 minutes, allowing ice machine to sit for at least 15 seconds afterwards before starting again on a normal cycle. This should clear the cleaning needed light that is still on. No water leaks from connections at time of service
