REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRS970CIDM00 Arrived on site for refrigerator that was not cooling on the fresh food side.After running diagnostics I could not find any shorts or issues with the fresh fruit side having a defrost problem but when looking at the rapper to coil that was obvious signs of a defrost issue at play. Do you frost at all the ice and found that inside the compartment the defrost thermistor had somehow been wrapped around a whole bunch of Maine harnesses and was never properly connected to the evaporator coolers a shirt to be able to gauge whether or not it needed to go to defrost because of this it ruined The fan scroll air stack assembly. Please do not in service diagnostics and found an F 30 (dispenser system error), F22 (door lock error), and F28 (serial communication error) error codes. Took off the top and found two connectors not engaged fully. Reconnected connectors and tested resistance through he door lock. Found unit pulling 9.32 k ohms. I called Techline and spoke to Leon SR# 7728473144. He had me run several test and we found the main control not sending 5V DC to the motor control. He advised to replace the CCU and unit should work as designed. Replaced CCU and tested unit in an auto test. Unit ran as designed. Call complete."

Upon diagnosing the unit I found that the spark module and And main harness switches to the front right burner were not communicating with one another and I like the sparker tonight. I also found that the heat given off from the two front burners on the far left and far right side were causing the paint decal of the burner settings to wear off of the main cooktop panel. The middle burner of the cooktop started having issues at random every 10 to 15 times you would turn it on there would be a loud pop as if they were something trapped inside the gas line and not allowing gas come out. Upon further inspection, customer advised that unit is very hot while using the oven and they smell gas while the oven is being used. Upon further inspection, I tested the oven on Bake at 350 degrees. I could hear the ignitor arcing and then the burner came on. I removed the bottom drawer and could detect a small amount of gas odor, but it went away quickly. I found the burner air shutter wide open. I adjusted it and when the burner came back on, I did not smell anymore gas odors. I explained to the customer that the heat levels is determined by what temp the unit is being used due to the unit vents at the top of the cooktop just under the control panel. Theres nothing that can be done to change it. Tested the cooktop and all burners are operating as designed. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed."

I found the RC evaporator housing discolored from a refrigerant leak. I replaced the RC evaporator & compressor. I installed a low side service tap on the compressor and installed a dye dryer. I vacuumed the system and it held a 30 psi vacuum. I charged the system with 5.50 ozs of R134A. I had a good frost pattern on the evaporator and good pressures. The unit is working as designed.
