"Arrived on site for a refrigerator model KSF26C4XYY03 that is not dispensing water. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit does dispense water, but that they are having an issue with floating in their water. The advise that it comes in both the ice and the actual water. They advise that their filters filter out most of it, but the filters are having to be changed monthly at this point to avoid this issue when they used to last longer. She advised that she didn't know if there could be anything done about it from the machine side, but she wanted it checked out. I did confirm the customer's complaint and found white little floaties instead of her water. I attempted flushing out the water from the wall and found specks and large translucent film strips in the water. I spoke to GC and was advised that there is nothing within the system that would cause any residual molecules or debris to be introduced to the water supply. I explained to the customer that we could replace their water lines if they wished, but the issue would be with their incoming water supply and it would come back. The custo,er advised she did not want to proceed with repair for now. She does not know the cost associated with getting her waterlines cleaned out and if she was going to replace her water lines within the refrigerator, she would just buy a new refrigerator and use this as a spare refrigerator. The customer advised they tried flipping the breakers, but they couldn't find one for the oven. I checked outside and found that the breaker for the oven was outside on the side of the house. I found the breaker tripped and flipped it back on. I tested the oven running bake cycles on both ovens at 450?F. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they performed a cleaning cycle and afterwards, the lower oven would not heat. I pulled the unit out and gained access to the lower oven elements connections and TOD (thermostat). I tested the elements and all are good. I tested the TOD and found it open. I quoted the customer $299.99 for service/labor fees and $114.11 for the TOD for a total including tax of $448.26. The customer agreed to the repair and paid in full with CC ($448.26 CC Auth# 3UTFCT). I removed and replaced the TOD and tested the lower oven and it is operating as designed. The customer advised that they have been finding cubes getting stuck in the tray causing the ice maker to jam and not harvest the ice cubes. I found the ice maker had just harvested as there are partial cubes in the tray with some water that has yet to freeze; therefore, I cannot test the ice maker. Due to this being the second time that we've serviced the ice maker for the same issue within the year, I removed and replaced the ice maker and cycled power to the unit to reset the controls, at which time the ice maker completed its harvest and filled with water. I inspected the old ice maker and didn't find any damage to the tines or the separator. I could hear the drain pump motor but no water was being drained. I checked the knockout plug in the disposal and found it had not been removed. I removed the plug and pressed the cancel button on the dishwasher and the drain pump turned on and began to drain the water. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they have to keep the door switch taped so the unit will function, but when they press the foot switch, the unit will compact the trash, but it wont go back up and they can't remove the drawer. I found that the ram is going down, but not coming back up unless you press on the foot switch again. This is due to a failed directional switch. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Per previous techs diagnosis, I was to remove and replace the main control and drain pump and test to see if there were any further failures. Upon arrival, I tilted the unit back to replace the drain pump and found a large amount of gearcase oil on the pulley shield. I removed the shield and the cam pulley and found even more oil on the cam, gearcase spindle, belt, motor, and actuator. I advised the customer of my findings and advised that I would have to order more parts due to the gearcase leaking oil and it is not safe to use the unit in this condition as it can leak water. "Arrived on site to diagnose dryer making a loud noise during operation. Customer stated that the unit was producing a squeaking and rumbling sound while running. Tested the dryer and confirmed the noise during the tumble cycle. Disassembled the unit and inspected internal components. Found the drum support rollers (tub wheels) worn and flat-spotted, causing the drum to not rotate smoothly and create the noise. Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator model WRFC3036RZ01 not cooling and not dispensing water. Upon further inspection the customer advised that the refrigerator has been operating fine now. I checked the temperatures and measured 35RC and 2FC. I checked the valves and found the to be operating as designed. Its possible that the unit was accidentally placed into demo mode. I removed the protective film from the ui and power cycled the refrigerator to reset. I leveled the refrigerator and ensured that the gaskets were sealing properly. No water leaks observed during service.
