"Arrived on site for knoking sound coming from the refrigerator lauder than normal. like a blade hitting on something and humming. No noise was apparent initially. Temps were normal and fridge is cooling as designed. Unplugged fridge and allowed to cool down for approximately five minutes. Removed back cover to inspect fan. Plugged fridge back in and fan was spinning as designed. No knocking or humming. Once compressor turned back on I began to hear a knock. Inspected FC fan and RC fan. Neither were hitting anything and spinning freely. Pulled up owners manual to research normal noises and found Popping - contraction/expansion of inside walls, especially during initial cooldown. This explains why the knocking started after I plugged the fridge back in. There was no frost build up on the evaporator cover or the cover inside the fridge causing the fans to make a knocking noises. Explained to customer this was not an abnormal noise, but just the fridge walls contracting and or expanding during defrost mode. Job completed."

Arrived onsite for the microwave arching while in use. During testing found that that the wave guide is damaged and that the magnetron caused the arching and the damage to the wave guide.

"Arrived on site for UNIT STARTS, YOU CAN HEAR IT BUT NO WATER COMES OUT, THEN IT JUST STOPS--MOTOR IS NOT WORKING. Placed in diagnostics and F4E3 came up. Cleared error code. No other errors displayed. This is the third time weve received a failed motor error on this customers dishwasher. Called WP tech line to have this documented. Tech line had me test voltage under a load and I got 120v. Tech line also requested we inspect the sump and motor for any areas of clogging or debris. Once sump and motor was removed I found excessive grease build up throughout the sump and motor. Took photo of findings for documentation and filing. I gained access to the evaporator and found the housing and cover broken due to the refrigerant leak. I evacuated the system. I replaced the housing, evaporator, and cover. I pulled a vacuum on the system and found no leaks. I charged the system with 7 oz of refrigerant. I monitored the pressures and found them building properly. The fridge is cooling. Job complete."

Arrived on site for an oven that is too cold. Inspected unit and work area. Found aluminum foil lining the bottom oven liner. Attempted to remove aluminum foil and found it sticking to the bottom oven liner and damage caused by the aluminum foil. I did calibrate the unit a little bit for the customer.

Arrived onsite and found backed up evap drain tube. Adjusted drain nozzle and cleared all ice. Unit is now operating as designed. Advised customer on repair

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not working. Upon further inspection, I found the UI non-responsive. Checked voltage at the outlet and junction box and got 124V at both. Removed the outer door panel and tested the fuse and found it open. Customer provided several parts that were sent directly to them from GE and the fuse was one of them. I also found that the vent was badly rusted, the inner door panel was rusting as well. I removed and replaced the fuse, main control, vent, and a UI solenoid and tested the unit. Unit began to operate as designed. Customer turned the unit on to test and found water would enter the unit and the heating element would come on but the motor failed to come on. I inspected the motor and found where previous repairs had been done to the harness connection at the motor and was not good. The motor and the harness will need to be replaced. Upon arrival I was able to confirm that the water was being left in the fabric softener portion of the dispenser at this point I then called whirlpool techline and also verified that there was a service pointer regarding the dispenser itself but per tech line The service pointer found does not apply to the situation necessarily after describing the symptoms and what parts already replaced, Andy sr#7730469035 From whirlpool techline advise at this time the unit is functioning as designed and that the water scene in the dispenser is normal after using the machine and recommended not replacing any parts. I then spoke with CS regarding my findings and what whirlpool recommended and I determined that it was best to go ahead and replace the dispenser anyways because the amount of water being left in the fabric softener was less than a centimeter away from siphoning out had it filled just a little bit more. And reassembled and tested the unit in a fill agitation and drain cycle verified that there was no water being left in the dispenser at that point I was able to confirm and show the customer that the dispenser was empty after the test customers please repairs call complete"

Arrived on site for refrigerator not cooling. Upon arrival found freezer temp at 1 degree and rising and ffc at 41 and rising. Inspected compressor and condenser fan and found both of them running. Arrived on site for icemaker not making ice inside of refrigerator. Upon arrival I found that the icemaker was running a full harvest but I cannot confirm any drilling noise during diagnosis. When testing the water in the valve to see if he was receiving the proper 120 V to all the solenoids I found that the dispenser and icemaker portion of the valve are working but the water intake from the wall into the first solenoid was only receiving 70 out of 120 V.. I was able to trace the voltage issue back into the diodes within the harness the harness and diodes are starting to get weak inside the cavity the fridge leading to the water valve. I also found once I was able to get a small amount of water pressure up to the filter housing assembly that the filter housing is not sealing with the filter and causing it to pop out anytime it is activatedCall complete

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that tripped a breaker. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit only tripped a breaker once but happened sometime in the middle of the cycle. The customer advised that they did have their breaker recently replaced from an AFI breaker to an AFI/GFCI combo breaker. Placed unit in service diagnostics and found An F0 E3 (overload), F7 E0 (loss of power), and F2 E1 (UI stuck key) error codes. I ran the unit through an auto test and measured the amp draw off the power cord. The unit ran as designed without pulling over 1.7 A. I placed the unit in a manual high-speed spin and drain. The unit did not pull over 1.89 A. Had the customer placed a load inside the unit and ran it through a normal wash cycle. The unit did not pull over 2.2 A during agitation. Placed the unit in a drain and spin in the unit did not pull over 2.3 A. I called Techline and spoke to Ed SR# 7730452981. He advised that based on my findings, the issue would not be with the unit itself but either a fluke (due to it happening one time) or with the breaker, which was already replaced. He advised to make no repairs. Call complete."

Arrived on site two install wire nuts on the thermostat. Removed oven thermostat and spliced wires to wire not the wires together. Placed unit in our 375?F bake cycle. Unit got up to temp and did not flash the code. The customer did advise that 90% of the time the unit will not flash that error code but only once in a while will it be an issue. Advise customer to keep an eye on it and to call back and if they have further issues.

"Arrived onsite for refrigerator with ice maker wires freezing over. Upon inspection I found a ball of ice around the IM wires and they were hanging down on the bin. I found the ice maker tray had gotten stuck at some point it was misshapen and damaged, I inspected the hinge wires but found no breaks or shorts. I accessed the main control and verified voltage coming out to the ice maker. I recommended replacing the ice maker and going from there. The customer agreed so I replaced the IM and tested function. I found the inlet slightly spraying out and dripping down into the bin. I confirmed it was not frozen. It seemed like a water pressure issue so I went to the wall valve and turned down the pressure slightly. I tested the unit again and there is no longer water spraying out of the ice tray.No leaks were detected during time of service. Job complete."

"Arrived onsite for refrigerator making loud noise. Upon arrival could not identify any abnormal noise. Disconnected unit for a few minutes then plugged back in to test startup amperage. Upon starting recorded .9-1 amp with no noise. Allowed unit to run over and hour, compressor did cycle a couple times and still no noise. Could not verify complaint or duplicate noise. Jo complete"

Arrived onsite for the F1E4 error code. Replaced control board and error code is gone. During testing found that the turn table was not turning and it was not heating. Found that the secondary switch was not making contact. Found that the cabinet was bent inward causing the issue.

Arrived on site for washer not operating tested and inspected unit and found failed main control (See service pointer) unit is stacked and in very tight spot. Will need 2 man 2 hour job. Arrived on site for ice machine not making ice and only humming. I inspected the unit and work area. I found the unit under warranty. I found the unit humming. I tried to put it into diagnostics and found the UI not responsive. I gained access to the back of the unit and found it has a pump assembly. I unplugged the pump assembly and plugged the unit directly into the wall cutting out the pump. The unit came on. I out the unit into diagnostics and ran a function check. It operated as designed. The unit needs a new pump assembly. I am ordering the pump to complete the repair.; ordrng 1 W10825875 (Drain pump)
