"Arrived on site to inspect wall oven turning itself on. Upon further inspection, I found the display showing the control lock turned on. I attempted several times to turn the lock off and it failed. I cycled power at the breaker and reset the controls and attempted to place the unit in diagnostics. Once I was able to get it into diagnostics, I found no error codes in the system. After checking the error codes, the unit display began to jump from screen to screen. I contacted techline and spoke to Kurt and advised of the complaint and my findings. Kurt advised to replace the control panel/console and provided SR#7736731710. I contacted Whirlpool Safety and spoke to LaShonda and advised of my findings. LaShonda provided a concession reference number of W17LIN1WPL1 to cover the total repair. I am ordering the control panel and office to schedule return service due to the availability of the part. "WOC54EC0HS20 Arrived to inspect no operation. The unit was stuck within control lock mode and attempting to remove the control lock, it would just endless loop, requiring the replacement of the UI. Further inspection revealed the unit is incorrectly installed and the microwave door switches are incorrectly timed. The unit should be reinstalled with shims to get the front lower vent off the front plate of the cabinet and the interlock changed. The interior microwave bulb was out, likely from being on too long, due to the door closing issue. The tech before installed a control board and actuator. I checked the capacitor and it 45.5uf the motor was 11 ohms. I calibrated the system and re diagnostics and it spun after the calibration cycle. Put the unit and quick was that the said it would not spin in that cycle. It ran for 20 minutes and it was spinning during the cycle. The unit is operating as designed. No water leaks detected during service.

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator that was not coolong in the refrigerator compartment. On arrival I checked both compartments and found the RC airflow vent clogged with ice. I checked the freezer and found frost trails, and excessive frost going from the door to rhe evap cover and on top of items. This indicates that the door was left open, and moisture/water froze and clogged the airflow vents. The fan is running currently and I did not see frost through the cover. I advised the landlord to have the tenant defrost the unit to melt the ice down and remove anything that would cause the door to be unable to close. At this time the gaskets do loom good and have a proper seal. If issue returns and there is no frost trail, we can rediagnose a defrost issue.

Due to the difference in the error code storage, I re-tested all functions and per the service manual. All operations were present. I did find that the manual was in error and that the hot valve would actually not work and discovered the customer had recently had plumbing work done. The hot water supply, in a hot/cold ganged valve assembly, did not have water supply available.

Arrived onsite for a dishwasher that was leaking from underneath. I removed the toe kick and tested the machine finding no leaks anywhere. The customer had saw it leaking from the diverter and I pointed at the location of the diverter where they usually will leak and Mr confirmed that was where it did leak from. The customer stated it was dripping very fast when it was leaking. I felt in the shaft housing and it was completely dry and there was no calcium build up anywhere. The customer stated it was the first time it had ever leaked. I checked stored error codes and did have an F9E1 diverter couldnt find position error but we ran the cycle the machine had previous leaked on and the diverter was working properly. The customer didnt want to replace the pump and motor at this time. I did advise the customer to install a dishwasher pan under the machine in case it starts leaking again.

"GFE28GSKKSS Arrived to inspect noise. The customer presented a video that the RC fan motor could be clearly heard making contact with evaporator ice. By the time of my arrival, the customer had defrosted for several hours and the issue had resolved. I verified the RC fan was operating and acceptable flow was felt. I advised the customer if the issue occurs again, they will need to fully defrost the unit. I could see that the defrost system was working and thee was liquid water within the drip tray. No leaks observed during service.

"KSSC48QMS01 Arrived to inspect cooling issues. The customer advised me the unit had gone up in temperature in both chambers, over the weekend reached 30-40?F above the set points. I found the FC at 20 and the RC at 39, with the sealed system running. Airflow was acceptable within both chambers and I could hear a intermittent whooshing of refrigerant within the evaporator assy in the FC. Exposing the evaporator, the system had signs of refrigerant loss, or an inefficient compressor. Due to finding no signs of oil or dye throughout the accessible parts of the system and oxidized copper on the system return lines, I suspect inefficient compression to be the cause. Further inspection did not reveal any obvious signs of cabinet air leaks.

On arrival customer showed me a torn off piece of Grey rubber they found inside the unit, which was a piece of the bellow. When I examined the interior of the unit, I found the basket was able to be moved and banging around. Found the source of the movement was a damaged support that was allowing the basket to move. Advised the repair needed would be to replace the inner basket and support, and splitting the tub.

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator that was overcooling in the FC, RC at 61 On arrival found unit had been unplugged and sitting for several days. I powered on the unit and checked cooling. Found unit had begun cooling, and airflow was moving to RC. I found the FC evap fan running properly. It sounded like it may have been surging at first, but stayed blowing hard. I found the damper door open and it was not stuck closed. I could not verify the source of failure at this time, and customer was advised that we need to have the unit running so we can trace the failure when temps start heating up. Since this is a single evaporator unit, these symptoms usually indicate a frozen return vent, but we will need to verify if a DC load is failing, or trace an air leak. Customer advised to follow up when failure returns, and advised to leave unit in failure state for a full diagnosis.

"KRFC704FPS03 Arrived to inspect continuous temperature issues. The unit has been cooling, but will not operate the RC fan, except within service test mode. I had already verified the entire circuit and watched for fan input, and there was none, except within service test mode. RC six hour max/min 73/31, FC six hour max/min 50/-20. Six hour averages for both were RC 35/FC -4. As with prior testing, the swings matched. All fans operated as designed within service test mode. In additional effort, I swapped the FC and RC at the control and verified the RC fan then operated as designed. Swapping the UI, GF2 and matching dispenser UI and trying a second Orion control, made no difference and the wet spot repainted prior, was still an issue. I contacted the tech assist with the MFG and spoke with Derek. Due to the erratic nature of the unit and during testing, coupled with the wet spot on the back, likely due to heat tube separation."

Suspension is good and basket is not out of round beyond a 1/4 of movement. Advised customer on findings and on official literature concerning off balance symtpoms being related to loading and cycle selection. Customer concerned that unit is operating outside of design specifications. Customer is concerned that the unit is and has continually had a propensity to go out of balance with ordinary and properly sorted loads. Customer will reach out to warehouse rep and to the manufacturer to pursue options. No repair recommendation at this time. Selective maintenance items would be replaced the slider and the clutch to correct some rotational noise.

"Arrived on site to diagnose dryer that is making noise on use and also had condensation present. Customer advised the condensation only happened one day and has been fine since cleanout. Advised condensation is likely from the hot outside air since dryer is on an outside wall, and vent hose was not hooked up and AC blows towards the dryer. I ran the unit and confirmed the noise. Noise is a rattling coming from the front left corner if weight is applied or the cabinet shifts. If properly moved and leveled the noise disappears. Unit has no level feet on it. I advised customer on findings and I shifted the unit to kill the noise. Customer advised that if it can't be properly leveled and braced we need to tear down the unit and install sound pads and leveling feet.

Due to the compressor failure, I was to remove and replace the compressor, drier and access valve; however, when replacing the drier and attaching the drier to the cap tube, I was able to get the lokring on and while adjusting the drier to attach it to the heat loop, the cap tube broke free from the drier and then broke from inside the cabinet (photos)? "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Due to the valve making a chatter noise when dispensing water, I removed and replace the water line from hinge to valve and tested. The noise wasnt as loud as previously. I removed and replaced the water line from hinge to dispenser and retested and the noise was still there. I found the dual valve previously replaced was defective as the locking clip to the ice maker dispenser tubing was missing. I removed and replaced the dual valve and retested and unit continued to make the noise, but again not as loud. I advised the customer of my repairs and advised that a pressure reducing valve would be needed; however, the valve could cause the water dispenser to dispense very slowly and the customer advised that they are okay with the little amount of noise being made and did not want the reducing valve installed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is going off balance. Inspected the unit and work area. Found the unit was set on wooden blocks due to the uneven Ness of the floor. Ran the unit three diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. Ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. Tested the suspension and found the suspension was good. Ran the unit through a high-speed spin and found the unit running and working as designed, but found the units partially sliding due to the blocks. Found that the floor was too unlevel to be able to adjust the unit properly on the regular floor. The customer advised that they had several people come out to try to fix that when doing installation but they havent found a solution. Did advise the customer that the unit is working as designed and that they will need to find an alternate solution to their flooring situation. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."
