Arrived on site for microwave needing a previously diagnose interlock assembly that included a door motor. After arriving and installing the needed part I was able to reassembled and tested microwave and found that the door is opening and shutting as designed when the automatic feature is activated. Arrived on site for a dryer that?s not dry and close. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that it?ll sometimes take a couple cycles to dry their clothes and that he does heat but the clothes will still come out damp. Tested unit on a time dry heat cycle and found the unit heating in tumbling. Looked behind the unit and found the vent hose completely crushed and looping around five different directions due to a long vent hose. Took the vent hose off the unit and found the recycling properly. Advise the customer that the unit issue is with the vent hose. Advise customer to shorten the vent hose or purchase a new one for repair. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for an oven that won?t heat during a bake cycle. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit does broil and I did confirm that by running a test with the bacon boil elements. Remove back cover and gained access to the control. Tested voltage coming out of the control and found 120 V out of the bake connector. Followed voltage down to the element and confirmed voltage. Checked voltage on the other side of the bake element and found 120 V. Checked voltage going across the bake element and found no voltage. Spoke to SW and was advised we would need to replace the wire harness and element.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that?s making noises. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit has made the sound almost every morning and does not make the noise constantly. Customer played a recording of the sound which appeared to sound like a fan blade heading plastic. Check the evaporator for a defrost issue and did not find any evidence of a defrost issue. Ran the unit through in evaporator fan and air baffle test and the unit ran as designed. Ran the unit through a compressor and condenser fan test. The unit ran as designed as well. Tested the unit icemaker harvest and fill in the unit ran as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Leon SR# 7730640558. He advised that based on all the testing we ran that those were the only components that could be causing a noise and that if the issue is sporadic, the only thing he could point to is refrigerant noises. Advise the customer of tech lines findings and advise the customer to take a video of the sound (as well as open the freezer door, pull out the unit, etc) on the video to see if the unit stops making the noise or to locate the sound location. Call complete."

Arrived on site to diagnose a dishwasher that is not cycling. Found customer reseting unit by pressing start to many times. Informed customer on findings and all is working properly at this time and no leaks were found at time of service.

Ive been on site for dishwasher not draining properly. Upon arrival I was able to confirm that there was an F9E1 error code but I also found an F8 E2 error code indicating an electrical issue with the fill valve but upon further testing I could not find any electrical shorts or reasons why the F 82 area code was appearing. I also found that the drain pump was receiving the proper voltages but the motor itself was barely humming whenever the pump is being activated at this point we I was able to reschedule the customerto complete repairs of the new drain pump; ordrng 1 W11412291 (Pump)

Arrived on site for dryer needing previously diagnosed motor and blower. Upon arrival I was able to disassemble and installed both previously diagnosed parts. After reassembly I tested dryer and found unit fully functioning as designed. Call complete

"Arrived on site for a dryer that is taking three or four cycles to dry clothes. Inspected unit and work area. The customer has this unit in a small outside laundry room. Tested the unit on a time dry high heat cycle and found the unit heating and turning. Looked at the back of the dryer and found the dryer vent hose crushed and restricted due to a spring vent hose. I removed the vent hose and found the unit cycling as designed. I advised the customer that due to the restriction of their crushed vent hose, their unit would not ventilate out air properly and would cause a sauna-like condition in the unit. I told the customer to get a periscope style vent kit for the dryer and if they had further problems, to have their dryer vent looked at due to the vent going through a second story. Unit is working as designed. Call complete."

Arrived on site for ice machine needing previously diagnosed filter head assembly. Upon arrival I installed needed part then reassembled and tested unit. Found water supply had almost fully returned through filter when new head was installed but noticed is was still a bit slower coming through the filter when filter was plugged in. Informed customer they would need a new filter ASAP in order to insure new head assembly works with out any further issues

Found missing plastic mounting washer on right side and broken on left. Found door operation good and gasket in place. Powered unit off and on at breaker and found same results. Powered unit off and access to thermal fuse and control. Measured resistance on fuse and found opened. Removed failed fuse and installed new. Powered unit on and tested all components. Found all operating as designed and good air flow blower. Reinstalled unit and replaced mounting washer (TS). Tested unit long enough for temperature to show on display. All tested good.

Arrived onsite for refrigerator not dispensing water. Upon inspection I found unit was making ice. When I engaged the dispenser I could hear the valve humming but no water coming to the dispenser. I heard the ice maker harvest then fill. I replaced the reservoir and valve and tested the unit. The unit still would not dispense water. I attempted to lower the incoming pressure but still nothing. I disconnected the water line at the top of the left side RC door and engaged the dispenser. No water was coming through the line. After a few more mins the line must have been frozen because it started pouring out into the fridge while I had it disconnected from the valve. I reconnected the line and the unit is now dispensing water as designed. I advised the customer on how to load their RC so that nothing is blocking the air vent on the ice box. This could lead to air traveling back up into the unit and freeze the line. I raised the temp in the RC 1 degree and 3 degrees in the FC.

Arrived on site to diagnose dishwasher with door that is more springy then usual. Found the friction pads missing on both sides. Replaced friction pads and retested. Unit is now working as designed. Call complete.

Checked freezer temp and found it at exactly 2 degrees. Found 120 volts being sent to ice maker but old ice maker also had rusted hole in it. I then replaced the ice maker and reassembled and tested unit. Found unit harvesting as filling to exact water amount as designed. No leaks before during or after repair call complete

Arrived onsite for a wall oven that has an F E1 (UI stuck key) error code. Inspected unit and work area. Confirmed customers complaint as the unit will not function at all and will immediately present the code. Replaced console and tested unit. Unit began working as designed.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator making a loud noise. The customer stated the noise stopped when they opened the doors and then began again after closing them. I checked the temps and found the FC at 10?F and the RC at 44?F. I did not see any frost build up on FC evap. I then put the unit into diagnostics mode. I ran the evap motor and baffle and the noise did not replicate. I then ran the condenser fan and did not hear any abnormal noise. Both thermistors passed. I ran the ice box fan which runs the evap fan at the same time and heard no noise. I then forced a defrost and the defrost worked as designed. I gained access to the FC evap and found no ice build up, the heater on, and everything connected properly. I found the FC motor running as designed. I then took the unit out of diagnostics mode and heard the buzz sound for a very short amount of time. I found it was coming from the compressor. I gained access to the compressor and moved the refrigerator onto my floor protective mat. When moving the fridge we had to remove a shim on the front left hand side of the fridge and the noise stopped. I found no issue with the compressor or it vibrating on any other connections. I advised the customer the noise may have been from the compressor being off balance and vibrating awkwardly. I found no mechanical failures on the unit at the time of service. No leaks observed at the time of service. Call complete."

Arrived on site for refrigerator that?s not cooling. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit was unplugged for the week prior. Plugging it in and checked voltage going to the compressor. Found 6.5 V DC going from the control and 123 V coming from the power cord. Let unit run for 20 minutes. Could not find any heat coming from the condenser line into the compressor. Spoke to PR and was advised that it was most likely a failed compressor or a leak. Arrived on site for an oven that has a broken outer glass. Inspected unit and work area. Found a dent on the front panel that caused the outer glass to shatter. Replaced outer glass and tested unit. Unit began working as designed. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator not cooling properly in the RC. I checked the temps and found the FC at 18?F and the RC at 60?F. Upon further inspection I found significant frost build up on the RC evap cover. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found the FC fan running, but I did not hear the RC fan run. I found all of the thermistors passed and the unit would go into defrost. I gained access to the control and checked voltage to the RC fan at P14 from pins 3-4 and found 14VDC as it should be. I checked the RC evap thermistor at P8 from pins 3-4 and it had 3VDC and ohmd out at 7.6K. This indicates the RC should be at 37?F when it is at 60?F (although the ice build up is making it colder on the evap, so this may be roughly correct). I found the RC thermistor at 4K ohms which is right around where it should be for 60?F. I did not hear the baffle motor open either. I checked the baffle motor at P2-2 and P1-2 and found 120V going to it and same on output on the control. This indicates a bad damper motor and fan motor. I am ordering both and office will need to reschedule. Will return with the co trolls just in case as well. I advised the customer due to the thickness of the ice that they need to leave the refrigerator off for 48 hours prior to service. ; ordrng 1 WPW10248595 (Air Baffle Control) and 1 W11087438 (RC Evap Fan Motor)"

"Arrived onsite for unit making noise every 5th or 6th use and unit had sparked on the inside of the unit. Tested unit. Could not get noise or spars to happen. Customer went ahead and tried and was able to get noise to happen. Called tech line. Said to check all the blowers and possibly could be turn table motor. Opened up the unit, couldn?t find any burn marks or scorched areas. Everything looked clean. Put unit back. Tested unit and it is still heating. Arrived onsite to install previously diagnosed parts. I found the bottom of the FC frozen over again and the drain pan frozen with a sheet of ice blocking the drain. I steamed out the drain and inspected. I found the drain grommet is collapsed. I accessed the rear of the unit and verified there is no obstructions in the drain tube I called techline SR#7730630640 and spoke to ED. I advised the Customer reach out to the manufacturer for further assistance. Job complete.

"Arrived on site to inspect microwave door noises. Upon further inspection, I opened the door and could hear something rattling inside. Customer advised that the unit doesnt heat. Tested the unit with a cup of water for 30 seconds and found the unit is not heating. I removed and replaced the unit door and retested and the unit is operating as designed. Job completed."

"Arrived on site for microwave letting air into the home from the outside. We inspected the evap terror vent and found nothing wrong. We gained access to the vent box inside the cabinet and found the damper flap missing from the damper. We also found the vent box stopping the damper from opening. We reshaped the box so that the damper will open. We replaced the damper it one that has the flip in it. We reassembled the vent box and Che Jed for air leaks. The box is sealed again. I spoke to the customer about the repair. I explained that they are next to a field so there is no air break, so they will have a small amount of air come in but nothing like before since the damper door is in place. Job complete."

Arrived onsite for the oven leaking gas. During testing using bubbles found that the gas leak is coming from the yellow gas line coming from the hose to the stove. Advised customer to call a plumber to replace the line. Complete

"Arrived on site for a dishwasher that would not start. Upon arrival the customer stated the issue was it will intermittently stop in the middle of a cycle every few minutes. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found stored error codes F5 and E something. Upon further inspection I found part of the UI LEDs out and actually bubbling up. Because of this I could not get a correct read on the error codes. It is a door switch issue however, for all F5s are door switch issues. I advised the customer on opening door in between cycles and not closing the door to hard. I could find no issue with the door latch. I ran a diagnostics cycle and found at the end it started doing random things. Such as the wash arms would rapidly skip around, the unit would drain a little, more skipping around, and it became inconsistent. I opened the unit and found significant suds at the bottom of the tub (pics in quick pic), and there was no soap in the dispenser prior to the test. Meaning it was all soap residue causing it. I also found the customer not using rinse aid. I found the customer started using a new soap that is all powered and an off brand. Upon further inspection I found the floater physically broken and needing replacement. I found the actually switch working as designed. I am ordering the floater and returning with all other parts. I advised the customer to clean the tub and change soaps before running the unit again. Arrived onsite for washer with lid patching issues. Upon inspection I found the strike broken. I replaced the strike and tested the unit in auto diagnostics all tests passed. I also tested the lock in manual diagnostics and it is working as designed. No leaks detected during time of service. Job complete.

Arrived onsite and found unit freezer frosting over. Heater is good. Replaced motor harness to repair bi metal problem and possible fan motor failure.

arrived on site for oven over heating. We inspected the unit and work area. We tested the bake and found both the bake and broil coming on. We gained access to the bake and broil elements and monitored voltage to both. We found during preheat the bake and broil would cycle on and off. When the unit got to temperature. Outside of preheat we found the bake and broil elements coming on at the same time durning the heating cycle. We found the oven temperature sensor within range and change appropriately with the temperature changes. "Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not powering on. Upon further inspection, I found console not responding. I removed the outer door panel and tested the fuse on the control and found it good. I tested voltage at the control and got 0V. When I removed the toeplate, I found the unit is hardwired. Found a switch at the wall but it was to the countertop lights. Looked around and found more switches and found one with tape and dishwasher written on it. The switch was turned off so I turned it on and the dishwasher powered on. Tested the unit and it is operating as designed.No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator that was not dispensing ice. Ran unit and heard motor noise, but auger isnt turning. Unit needs a new auger motor to resolve.

"Arrived on site for dishwasher not draining. Customer stated that after control replacement issue seems to occur more. Inspected unit and work area. Found loop in drain line incorrect. Corrected drain loop. Performed diagnostics mode, no error codes. Monitored test cycle and checked at end of cycle and all water drained out. Asked customer how much water in bottom, she stated that is was about 3/4 to 1 inch of water. Checked drain line for possible kinks, none found. Ran test mode again and monitored operation, found complete drain. Removed drain pump and drain line. Checked check valve, impellers and housing. Called Whirlpool tech support and spoke with Adrian. Went over prior services performed diagnostics. He stated to have customer ran garbage disposal before starting wash cycle to insure drain is not being blocked. Continued running drain pump and found sound changed in pump operation, found over heating. Removed drain pump and installed new. Tested operation and monitored for possible water leaks. All tested good, no water leaks detected. Spoke with customer on service performed. (SR#7730627605)."
