Upon further inspection, I found the upper rack with a rust spot on the left side where the dispenser door hits when opened. I removed the rack and found more smaller rust spots on the underside of the rack (photos) which appears to be from lack of protective covering. Upon further inspection, customer advised that his extended warranty had sent out a different service company and they told him the unit needs a new door because the fill tube heater was bad. I advised the customer of the service fee and they were good with it. I found the RC evaporator has ice built up on it and the temps in the fridge are too high. I tested temps in the FC=14 degrees. I tested the ice maker and it’s operating as designed. I advised the customer that they don’t need a door, but would need to have the hv control, RC evap cover, and fill tube heater replaced. No water leaks observed during service. Job completed. If repair is approved, unit will need the HV control, RC evap cover and fill tube heater assembly replaced. Ordering the parts plus both UI’s and the ice maker just in case."

REFRIGERATOR MAYTAG PBF2555HEW Arrived on site for a fridge not cooling properly. After checking the previously installed thermistor and control dampener and insuring their functionality. I found that the thermistor was fine but the dampener motor had some sort of paste around it (possibly from factory or how it was shipped) that was constantly getting logged between between the pivoting point of the flap opening and shutting. I cleared away all the debri and unit started opening up and shutting properly. I then checked temp readings in the freezer and fridge. It got down to 0 degrees in freezer and 33 in the ff section. I also found coils to be extremely dirty and advised customer of yearly cleaning maintenance. Unit functioning as designed call complete

Customer showed me the water damage under the sink ad I found spots of where water had caused bubbles in the wood under the sink. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested. Unit operated as designed with no leaks found. I found some small rust spots in the front left and right corners of the tub. I contacted techline and spoke to Leon and advised of the complaint and my findings. Leon recommended taking two afresh tablets and dissolving them in two quarts of warm water then taking a magic eraser and getting the rust spots out. I checked the unit for stored error codes and found none. I ran the auto diagnostics cycle and the unit completed the cycle and worked as designed. I ran the manual high speed spin test and could hear the noise the customer was concerned with. I removed the basket and checked for anything in the tub and found it clean. I made sure the hub screws were tight. I ran the manual high speed spin test with the agitator removed and the noise was still coming from the basket. The basket will need to be replaced. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL KRSC703HPS00 "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Upon arrival, the customer pulled the unit out of the kitchen into the dining area due to lack of space to work. Due to the unit RC section freezing up, I removed and replaced the fan scroll, thermistor, hv control and UI. When I removed the fan scroll/evap cover, I found the thermistor wrapped around the fan harness connector and corroded. I placed the new thermistor on the suction line and secured it with foil tape and a ziptie. Once I had the unit reassembled, the customer put the unit back in its place and I reconnected the water Iine. Plugged the unit back in and the unit began to cool. No water leaks observed during service, other than the usual water from the drain pan underneath, job completed."

Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=9 degrees & RC=40 degrees. I found the ice maker arm and fill tube chute were broken. I removed and replaced the ice maker and tested. IM operating as designed. I found that the lower shelf in the RC section is warped and the drawers do not stay on the rails and will need to be replaced. I tested the temps of the water being dispensed and found the water temp to be 70 degrees. I advised the customer to give the water a few days to cool due to the ice maker constantly filling and see if it helps. I am ordering the lower shelf, the right, left and center tracks, water reservoir(just in case), and office to schedule return service. I found no loop in the drain line at the disposal and I advised ms to have a longer drain line installed to allow for a loop to prevent the disposal clogs in the drain line. I found the cutter on the drain pump impeller had broken jamming the drain pump. I recovered all 3 pieces that made the cutter complete. I took pics per technical service pointer W11482561. I reinstalled the pump and advised the customer to clean the large debris off the dishes before loading them and running the machine until we can return with a new pump.
