REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF990SLAM02 "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator with ice under bottom drawer. Upon further inspection, customer had the unit RC section cleaned out and a towel on the bottom of the RC section. I found ice built up at the bottom the RC evaporator. Using my steamer, I removed the ice and pulled the unit out and removed the back cover to expose the drain tube and found a gap in between the drain tube and chassis. I removed the drain tube and found a small amount of debris in the tube. Cleared the debris and placed the tube back and placed a bead of silicone around the opening of the tube to seal it to the chassis to remove the gap. Removed the RC evap cover and found the thermistor in the wrong place. Repositioned the thermistor and secured it with foil tape and a ziptie. Reassembled the unit and tested the thermistor and it is good. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I disassembled the unit and found the roller axles were gunked up with debris and the blower wheel had broken free from the nut. I removed and replaced the blower wheels and dryer repair kit (5 rollers, tension pulley and belt) and retested and unit is operating more quietly. No lint observed during service, job completed."

Tested fan in man test mode and found not working on low speed. Went to uninstall oven and found junction box behind microwave. Removed trim and microwave. Was not able to test voltage from control due to power cord is to short. Removed cooling fan and installed new. Installed unit and tested operation. Heated unit up to 350°. All tested good.

Once I finally got it into diagnostics, it showed no error codes, but when I attempted to test the components, the unit failed. I cycled the power to the unit and retested and the display showed January 1 and time was 0711. I found the unit is not connected to WiFi. I removed and replaced the main control and tested. Unit is operating as designed. I recommended that the customer connects the unit to WiFi. Job completed."

Once the drain cycle came up the drain pump sounded like it was struggling to drain. I inspected the area underneath the sink and found the drain hose crimped/kinked in 2 places, one at the disposal and one at the siphon loop. I also found that the siphon loop was kinked so bad it was cracked and leaking when in drain. Will need a new drain hose for repair. Ordering (W11414944) drain hose. Upon further inspection I found that the ice put up was along the top side of the freezer door where the gasket would be and I also noticed that the freezer door itself was very loose and not properly mounted to the rails. Hi adjusted and remounted freezer door back onto the gliding rails properly retested how the freezer door open and shut and it is functioning as designed the door gasket is also sealing properly now on the top left corner and there is no longer an air gap allowing hot air to get in there and freeze. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRT311FZDB00 Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not cooling to possibly replace sealed system parts. I checked pressures and found them low. I found a leak in the evaporator causing the issue and took pics. I evacuated the remaining refrigerant and replaced the evaporator. I vacuumed the system and it held a 30 psi vacuum. I charged the system with 4.9 oz’s of R134A. I tested the unit and found the new evaporator with a good frost pattern and the unit working as designed. The unit is not connected to water. I ran a diagnostics cycle and found the cold water valve no opening all the way and slow filing. I also found slits in the below at the bottom allowing it to leak. The unit went through diagnostics just fine with no communication errors at the end. I removed the damaged bellow and replaced with new. I removed the failed water valve and replaced with new. I also cleaned out the drain tube and pump. I ran a cycle and the unit operated as designed no water leaks detected. Job complete.

I took a look inside the cavity of the oven itself and found that there is a very big splotchy grease stain at the bottom of the oven itself that was caused from something spilling inside the oven such as grease or some other kind of liquid residue. Customer stated that they have not had any spills of food inside the oven since I got it but it was obvious that someone had tried to previously scrub the grease stain off.
