Looked at the unit and saw that the bin is broken and new one needs to be ordered. Was loose at the temperature of the refrigerator. The temperature stayed around 50 degrees. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator not cooling well in the refrigerator compartment. I checked temps and found the RC at 62?F and the FC at 3?F. I ohmd out the thermostat and found it good. I found the damper opening and closing easily, and I could hear the fan running as designed. I gained access to the evap and found significant frost build up. I informed the customer this is causing a lack of airflow to the RC, which is why you are seeing cooling issues. I ohmd out the bi-metal and found it good. I tried to jump the defrost, but it would not start. I then jumped the timer to a defrost and I found voltage from the pink wire on the bi-metal to the white on the heater. I did he same for brown wire on bi-metal and found nothing. I then ohmd out the harness and found it open. I did not visibly see any damage on the harness or molex at the chassis. This indicates an internal harness problem

I confirmed ice in the bin and I removed the ice maker. I found the bail arm is missing. I installed a arm from my van stock. I found some frost built up in the back of the IM housing indicating a air leak. But due to the arm missing the customer would like to leave it and see if the issue is corrected. Arrived on site for ICE IS STILL GETTING STUCK IN THE DOOR CHUTE AND MELTS AND LEAKS WATER FROM DISPENSER. Customer stated since last visit the water drips have gotten worse. I tested the flapper to ensure it was opening and closing properly. Looked good. Removed ice bin and cleared out small bits of ice that could be melting when door is opened and closed causing the drips to run into dispenser chute. While inspecting from ice bin area into chute dispenser area I could see tiny gaps allowing light to come through at dispenser chute section. Removed door chute and installed new door chute. Inspected area again and there is no longer any light coming through. Customer understands ice can get trapped inside chute causing it to melt and drip melted ice into dispenser area. New chute is sealing properly. No leaks detected. Job completed.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that was icing over on the bottom part of the FC. Upon further inspection I found little spots of ice on the shelf and bottom part of the FC. I jumped the IM and found the harvest catching and not completing. It took several jumps to complete a cycle. I found the unit called for water when the IM still had ice in it and caused the water to overflow. This indicates a bad IM. I then gained access to the drip pan/drain tube and found it slightly clogged. I cleared the drain tube and confirmed water flowed through it. I then let the customer know the failed part was the IM. I advised them to keep it off for now. I also found that the water coming into he IM was at 90?F, and advised the customer they may want to get that looked at too.

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Upon arrival the customer had the unit unplugged and pulled out. The customer stated there had been ice build up in the FC, but not the RC. I gained access to the control and ohmd out all thermistors. They all read between 5-7k ohms. The temps in the 46? in the FC and 59?F in the RC. This indicates the thermistors are good. I replaced the control as diagnosed per previous tech. I then plugged the unit back in and waited for the unit to begin to cool. It is now working as designed. Call complete."

I replaced the valve and the customer advised me that the unit gets very loud during the spin cycle. I lifted the unit and found gearcase oil spread around the inner walls and on the drain pump.
