I asked the customer to call back if the noise returned but asked her to take a video of what was happening when the noise was made so we could find the cause of the sound. Call complete.

OVEN KITCHENAID KODE507EBL04 "Arrived on site to diagnose oven with upper screw loose in cavity. Found that the factory screw for a broil element bracket was loose and free twisting in the cavity. Only way to fix was to install a larger diameter screw. Put in a new screw and was able to verify it was tight. Customer told me that they heard a refrigerating rattle before when lower ovens was on as well. Ran both ovens at 350 - 400 degrees and could not duplicate sound. It’s likely it was rattling* the broil element bracket, especially when convect is used. All is now working as designed. Call complete."

REFRIGERATOR IKEA ID3CHEXWS01 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator ice maker not working. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=3 degrees and the ice box=1 degree. I found ice in the ice tray and the emitter/receiver is operating properly. Using m jumper wire, I jumped points T-H on the ice maker and at first, it didn’t work. After about 20 seconds, the IM began to harvest, but the heater was not coming on to heat up the cubes to dispense. After an additional 30 seconds, the heater came on and the IM continued to harvest but the motor was making a loud clicking noise. I found a block of ice under the IM tray at the front of the heater. Unit will need an ice maker. Also found where the ice door is torn and allowing warm air into the ice chute causing frost build under the ice bin. ice maker, ice door kit, dispenser arm and pin. MICROWAVE WHIRLPOOL WMH31017HS3 "arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Due to the fuse failing, I removed and replaced the fuse and tested. Unit operated as designed. When I went to reassemble the unit and plugged it back in, the unit was not powering up. I tested the fuse and checked the breaker and both were good. Pulled the unit from the wall and tested voltage at the filter board coming in and going out and got 124V. Tested all switches and they were good. Contacted Techline and spoke to Andy and advised of my findings. Andy recommended replacing the switches provided file #7727595830 from previous call. I advised the customer of the issue and advised that I would be ordering parts. WASHER MAYTAG MVWB865GW0 Arrived on site for washer that’s not making selections. Inspected unit and work area. Tested unit and unit would not move from normal cycle. Power cycled unit and found same issue occurring. Placing it in service diagnostics and found an F8 E1 (long/no fill) error code. Placed unit in an auto cycle and unit had a hard time filling. Water pressure seemed low and took a long time to fill. Unit wor the lid lock and was unsuccessful. Iould not lock in the cycle and tested unit in manual test. I called Techline and spoke to Mark SR # 7727625633. He had me run a few tests with the lid lock assembly. He advised this was the issue and could cause the console not to make selections because the unit would think it was still trying to run the normal cycle. He advised to replace the lid lock and test the unit. Replaced lid lock and tested unit. Unit began to change selections and lock the lid. Unit is working as designed. Call complete.

I contacted Techline and spoke to Kevin and advised of the history on this unit and the issue today which is the same as past history. Kevin advised to check the air port at the back of the pantry drawer and place permagum over the hole to stop the airflow and provided file #7727636590. I found where the pantry control was stuck wide open again and appears that there is some sort of liquid that may have spilled on it and caused to to stick. I was able to get the control freed up and advised the customer on checking the control daily to prevent this from happening again. I placed the control at the halfway mark and showed the customer. No water leaks observed during service, job completed.

I disassembled the FC section and found that the noise was not the evaporator fan motor/blades. I cycled the power and when the compressor kicked on, it began to make the vibration noise. I checked amp,draw to the compressor and found .68-.70amps. I advised the customer that the compressor is weak and would need to be replaced. Contacted claims depot SC and they advised that the customer would need to contact ge and schedule a sealed system repair since the unit has a 5yr sealed system warranty. I advised the customer this info. Reassembled the unit, no water leaks observed during service, job completed."
