"Arrived on site to diagnose washer that is not fully spinning out clothes sometimes. Larger loads seem to be affected. Customer can get it to finish with drain and spin. I checked a couple of cycles and found the spin was set to off (known issue with these UIs), and advised to double check before hitting start. Outside of that, I found no error codes or anything indicating a reason to not spin out other than overload / off balance. Advised on proper loading. Could not duplicate failure. Unit ran fine with no excessive vibrations on high speed spin. No repairs made."

"Arrived on site to diagnose freezer making noise at random when running. Customer showed me a video of the noise which sounded like ice on fan blades. I removed the cover and found no ice near the fans and all noises normal. I also found the unit didn't have but a couple of items in it, which can also cause the unit to be constantly running. Advised to try and capture video and check if the noise dissipates / get louder when the door is open. Customer will follow up if noise returns or gets louder once the unit is loaded. "Arrived on site to follow up on microwave that was not powering on. On arrival I replaced both interlocks due to 2 bad switches. Once new interlocks were in, found the board was sending 120, but there was an issue with the neutral. I replaced the filter board / filter board fuse and control. Retested and found unit now powers on and heats as designed. Root cause of failure was a failed upper interlock switch, which back fed and took the other parts out. "Arrived on site to diagnose noisy washer. On arrival customer informed me that the unit was banging pretty hard on a recent load of sheets /mattress pad. I tested the unit and found all mechanical components and suspension good. I checked the level and found the level was quite a bit off. I leveled the unit and ran a high speed spin and could not duplicate any failures. Advised the pad likely absorbed a ton of water, which will cause it to go off balance compared to sheets and to balance accordingly. Also found a bolt matching the motor bolts under the unit, but found no missing bolts on the unit. Unit now working as designed and balance. No parts used."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that will not complete cycles. Inspected unit and work area. I ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F0 E3 (overload) and F7 E5 (shifter fault) error codes. I attempted to run the unit into a diagnostic cycle and found the unit would not allow me to. I attempted to run a normal wash cycle and found the shifter, seemingly dragging and unable to move the cam. I gained access underneath and found the cam, partially melted, causing the issue. I went ahead and replace the cam and the shifter, and found no rubbing on the cam with the shifter in place when pulling it from side to side. I reassembled the unit and tested it. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that has shelves that dont work right. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised drawers slide in and out, but that when they put enough weight in it, the drawers fall off track. The customer advised that whirlpool had sent them several drawers and shelves, but that she was unable to get the shelves together. I check the drawers. The customer was talking about and found that the drawers could not be removed from the shelves. I attempted to use the new drawers and shelves to replace the existing ones and found that the drawer would not fit in the shelf due to the rollers on the drawers hitting the shelf rollers. I tried several different ways of trying to get the shelves and drawers connected, but was unable to do so. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Andrew SR# 7739627906. He had me send him videos of the shelves trying to go in and out with detailed video on why they would not come apart or fit together. After reviewing the videos, he advised that it did look like the parts were incompatible and because Whirlpool sent the customer the parts, we would need to contact the trade care team for parts review. I called the trade care team and spoke to Tanisha SR# 7739716010. She advised that based off all the information, the parts would be researched, and that whirlpool would be in contact with me within the next 24 to 48 hours to follow up. "On arrival verified complaint of tripping breaker when running bake and stove at the same time as well as fan motor rattling. verified voltage and polarity. Checked fan and all screws and nuts are tight. Fan still rattles recommend fan motor. Next checked tripping breaker. Unit is on a 40 amp breaker. Ran all elements and bake cycle and unit did not trip but maxed out at 51 amps. Ran each element individually and found LR ( melt)on high 5.5 amps, warm zone 900 milli amps, RR (melt) 5.2 Amps, LF (Dual) high 13.4 Amps, RF (Dual) 13.9 Amps. They are rated at 5amps on melt elements and both duals are for 12-12.5 so they are a bit high. These amp draws surpassed the breaker and didnt trip. Recommend replacing breaker and upgrading to a 50 amp breaker per manual. Also will need to return and replace elements and bake off moisture as well as replace fan motor. "Arrived onsite for a dishwasher that when a cycle is started the lights on the console flash and it just shuts down. I checked the machine for stored error codes and found none. I ran a diagnostics cycle and the machine completed the cycle and worked as designed. I started a normal cycle and as soon as the drain pump tried to start the control started flashing, beeping, and rebooting. I tested the vent wax motor and the drain pump finding the resistance in specs. I disconnected the vent fan and started a normal cycle finding the machine working as designed. I replaced the vent assembly and tested again in a normal cycle and the cycle started properly and was working as designed. No water leaks were present at the time of service. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to inspect dryer with excessive lint. Upon further inspection, the customer showed me the lint that had blown out of the vent outside and I found some small clumps of lint on the ground. Went back inside to inspect/test the unit and using my vent test kit, I tested the airflow to the unit and the first test passed. Customer mentioned that their clothing sometimes comes out with an odd smell. I found the washer packed with clothing and made recommendations for use/care when using the washer. I inspected the vent tube, at the back of the unit, and it is in good shape with no holes or breaks and is not crushed. The vent tube is clamped good to the unit and the vent going outside. The vent going outside has one 90 degree elbow and a goes directly out at the wall to the right of the unit. I advised the customer that due to the humidity and moisture build up in the vent going outside will cause the lint to stick and collect over time. I recommended regular cleaning of the vent and lint screen and yearly maintenance on the unit itself. Unit is operating as designed and no lint observed within the unit. Job completed. Arrive on site to inspect cooktop LF burner igniting properly. Upon further inspection found that the LF burner cap was slightly un aligned with burner. I made sure all burner caps were in the right position and tested the unit. All burners are operating as designed and could not recreate the customers issue with the left front burner after the adjustment. I advised the customer to always check that the burner caps are installed correctly after the cleaners have cleaned the unit to prevent the issue in the future. No parts installed. No gas leaks observed during service.

"Arrived on site to inspect range tripping breaker. Upon further inspection customer advised that unit was tripping while using bake or broil but would not trip while just using the cooktop. Before installing the new elements, I checked to make sure they were not shorted with the outer casing. Both elements tested good. I installed the elements and also control. I removed the ground from the terminal block and ran the 30 min burn off cycle at 400. I removed the clip and zip tied the thermistor to the evap suction line. Advised on proper defrost procedure. "Arrived on site for a dryer that is intermittently, not drying clothes. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit will dry normal clothes just fine, but when they are running towels, sheets, or comforters, certain items will dry, but other items are still left damp. They advise that sometimes theyre having to run the unit multiple times in order to dry all of the clothes. I asked the customer what kind of settings they typically use on the dryer and they advise that they typically use the normal regular or heavy duty normal for drying. I did explain to the customer that mixed loads, light loads, and bulky loads, and sometimes cause this issue due to the unit running off of the moisture sensor bar. I advised that the moisture sensor will need to pick up on wet clothing in order for the dryer to continue running. I told her that when anything dry starts to rub up against the moisture sensor, it can prematurely, shut the unit down, thinking that the clothes are dry. I advise the whirlpool recommends using a timed dry cycle on those types of loads to ensure all clothes are fully dry. The unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Per,previous techs diagnosis, I removed and replaced the compressor, access valve and uv dye drier. I evacuated the system upon arrival and cleared the system with nitrogen. Removed and replaced the mentioned parts then vacuumed the system down to -30/0 psi. Installed 53g of R600 refrigerant and allowed system to equalize. Checked welds for any leaks and found none. Tested the unit and it is operating as designed. "Arrived on site to inspect microwave not venting properly. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit fan and found a lot of air being blown out at the top front vent area. When I attempted to remove the unit from the wall, I found the damper frame was wedged in the vent cover above the unit. I removed the vent cover and found the damper door badly damaged and not opening properly to allow the air to fully vent. Also found the damper door hitting the vent cover preventing it from being able to open fully. I advised the customer of my findings. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not cooling properly. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit does cool, but it doesnt seem to cool as well as it used to. He advised that the icemaker does not work and that they have a torn gasket on the refrigerator. I did confirm the torn gasket and took temperatures of the refrigerator and freezer sections. I found the unit at 41?F in the refrigerator and 4? temperature in the freezer section. I found this at temperatures of the unit were at 5?F in the freezer section and 37?F in the refrigerator section. I found no evidence of a defrost issue within the unit and checked underneath the unit. I did find lint buildup on the condenser, but it did not seem sick enough to cause an air flow issue underneath. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Austin SR# 7739706767. He advised that based on my temperatures, the unit would be running and operating as designed. He did state that the customer being at 5?F in the freezer may cause intermittent issues with consistent temperatures in the refrigerator section but advised that with the temperatures being within 5? of the preset temperatures and continuing to drop, there would be no issue with the cooling aspect of this unit. I checked the icemaker and found that the icemaker bell arm would not lift up or close, indicating a failed issue within the icemaker. Ordering both the icemaker and the door gasket and the office will need to contact the customer about a return date due to limited parts availability. No parts were installed.; ordrng 1 W11396037 (Door gasket) and 1 WPW10190981 (Ice maker)"

Placed the unit in diagnostics showing error codes F9E1 & F9E2-drain pump failures and also found the control panel fascia peeling off. I cleared the codes and continued with testing and found the motor intermittently operating but unit drained. I advised the customer of my findings and explained operations. I am ordering the control panel and UI and will return with all prescreened parts. Scheduled return service for 08/21/24. Returning tech to replace the sump assembly, control panel and UI. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnose parts. Inspected unit and work area. I gained access to the back and removed the lower harness pressure hose from the upper harness pressure hose. I gained access to the control and blew through the pressure hose on the upper furnace. I found it clear. I blew through the pressure hose on the lower harness, and found that I could not blow through the hose. I gained access to the lower harness pressure hose, and found that as it came through the washer top, the pressure hose turns to the left to go down to the tub. Where that turn is underneath the top, I found the pressure hose had collapsed on itself. I tried to straighten out the pressure hose, but found the tube cracked. I am re-ordering the lower harness and rescheduled the customer to 8/16. No parts were installed.; ordrng 1 W11417071 (Lower harness)"

"GARF30FDGB01 RG Arrived on site for a fridge with a cooling issues. Upon arrival discussed with client what issues she was having. Client stated that when last tech arrived he installed part and left only and next day evaporator froze up again. Client also stated door would open sometimes on its own. Further inspection found thermistor and heater were reading correct voltages and amp draw, per service documentation. Found that the front bottom frame was bowing out causing a weak suction on the door causing door not closing correctly. After fixing the door/frame issues, the door is closing as designed. "KDTE204KPS0 Arrived to inspect noise and operation failure. Service test mode had F9 E2, F8 E4 stored and I cleared for testing. I found the overflow had water in it, tripping the float and I cleaned it, removing all water. The customer had excessive detergent within the unit and after rinsing it out, the suds were removed and overflow ceased. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

Arrived on site to test unit for not starting. Found bad thermal fuse and heating element. Replaced both element(WP3387747) and thermal fuse(W10909685). Unit now working as designed. "WDT750SAKZ1 Arrived to inspect wash and drying issues. I found the unit was set to A3 rinse agent dispensing and corrected to A1 to lower the amount of rinse agent that was being dispensed, via the hidden settings menu. The dispenser door was dislodged and required reseating. I found the door was not fully closing due to misalignment and I removed the unit from the counter to correct all legs, which corrected the door closing issue. Testing revealed the heater working after a complete control reset. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

Arrived on site for a microwave that wont turn off the over the counter light. Inspected unit and work area. The customer stated that they just moved in and they have not been able to turn off the light over the counter. I plug the unit in and did confirm the customers complaint. I went to adjust the setting and found the lights getting brighter and dimming. I gained access to the lightbulb after disconnecting the unit and found that there was an LED bulb in the microwave. I asked the customer if they had a standard bulb because these unit dont work with LED bulbs. He advised that he had one in another unit. He grabbed the standard 40 W bulb and I installed it into the microwave. I tested the unit and found the unit working and operating as designed turning the light bulb off and on. The unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete. No parts were installed.

"Arrived on site for a range that smells like gas. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit normally does not smell like gas but he has had several instances when cooking where the unit smells like ass when its getting close to 325?F. he advised that it happened a few months ago and then it happened the other day when he was cooking. I tested the unit at 350?F and found the glow bar ignite the flame spreader and turn on the gas valve. We ran the unit up to 350?F and I watched it cycle on and off twice. I did smell what seem to be Burt gas but did not find an excessive gas odor. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Austin SR# 7739711131. He advised that because the unit is not smelling of gas when the oven is not in use, the issue would be with trace amounts of gas that arent fully burned upon ignition of the burner flame. He advised that the glow bar will ignite the gas from the back, and it will slowly move forward, but that gas is still being released through the entire burner flame as this happens. He advised that this is not to be concerned about and that, unless if the flame spreader does not ignite or gas was leaking into the oven when the unit was not in use, there would be no issue with the unit. He advised make no repair at this time. Call complete. No parts were installed. No parts were installed."

"Arrived on site for a dishwasher that is not heating. Inspected unit and work area. The customer stated that after the previous technician came, he has noticed no difference in the ability of the dishwasher to dry dishes. I ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. I ran the unit through an auto test and found the unit working and operating as designed with the heater coming on at the end of the cycle. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Rob SR# 7739710161. He advised that because the heater did come on at the end of the diagnostic cycle and there were no stored error codes, there would be nothing wrong with the dishwasher itself. He advised that no plastics will dry inside any standard dishwasher on the market right now. He stated that because this has a plastic tub, has plastic racks, and uses plastic spray arms, there would be no way to guarantee any type of full dry inside this dishwasher. He recommended the customer run hot water to the sink prior to washing dishes as well as using rinse aid to help with the drying process. He advised not to make any repair at this time and that the unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete. No parts were installed."
