Arrived on site for dryer having long dry times. Inspected unit and work area. Performed air flow test with vent on and found restriction in air flow (red light). Removed vent and tested and found good air flow(green light). Found home venting clogged.

Called tech line and talked with Bruce, SR7731286574. Heater is IN the door, and can not be replaced by itself. Foam shifting can move the heater further from the dispenser causing the door to sweat. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Due to the cooktop burner switches shorting out, I removed and replaced the all four switches and tested. Unit is operating as designed.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator with the door not sealing properly when closed. Upon arrival the customer stated that they felt the door did not have the same suction it used to have, and that the RC seemed to be less cool than it used to be. They also pointed out a small tear on the outside of the gasket. I found they have not had any frost build up in the unit. Upon further inspection I found the gasket tear to be non functional and no cause for concern (pic in SD). I checked temps and found the RC at 39?F, this being after the door was opened for a while. I found the right door having very little suction when opening and not automatically closing. I found the door sealing fine, but the gasket a little low on the top. I adjusted the door up and it improved. I informed the customer it could also be the closer, but I was not 100% certain, The door was now closing and sealing as designed. I had the customer confirm the door was as it was prior, and they agreed.

"Arrived on site to inspect washer leaking water. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked error codes and found F7E4. Cleared the codes and continued with testing. The unit failed to complete diagnostics. I tilted the unit back and found gearcase oil on the rotor, harness shield, all four panels and on the floor. When I canceled the testing, I found water had leaked out on the floor. I raised the top panel and found water droplets on the back corner of the right panel. I tested the cold valve in diagnostics and then drained the water and found a hole in the internal drain hose (photo). Reassembled the unit and found the leveling feet were not raised when unit was installed causing the rotor to sit on the floor during a heavy load. I advised the customer of my findings and am ordering the gearcase, slider, clutch, internal drain hose and main control (jic). Unit was left unplugged and water source turned off at the wall. Arrived on site for a dryer not heating. I access the coin slot and bypassed the coin start. I ran the unit for 30 minutes monitoring the heat fluctuations at the vent. The unit was cycling well with the vent on and off. The temps ranged from 110?F to 190?F. I found the unit at the time of service running as designed.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine with an F7E1 error code. Upon arrival the customer stated the unit had a very loud pop noise and then their entire laundry room filled with smoke. They also found debris and ash inside of the unit itself. They showed me a picture of the error code F7E1 which is for Tachometer missing. I checked voltage at the wall and found it good. The customer said they never had the breaker pop either. I gained access to the bottom of the unit and found it looking perfect. I then gained access to the control and found the control itself looking like it blew up in the middle and caught a small fire in the console area. I found the valve harness, latch harness, and lower harness all burnt. The console was also very burnt on the back as well. I called techline and spoke to Joel and received SR# 771294691. He recommended to ohm out each individual component, replace all of the harnesses, replace the control, replace the console, and any component that ohmd out bad. The drain pump read 1.5 ohms, which is way out of range (it should be 18-22 ohms). The capacitor read open as well, which is incorrect. Everything else checked good. I am ordering the lower and all different upper harnesses, lid lock, cap, drain pump, control, and UI to install. We will also install and bring back the actuator due to the tach error code. Upon arrival customer informed us that the unit was now working but when she was cooking when it first happened, it showed an Err code informing her there was an error in the middle of her cycle. When she went to start any other bake cycles, it would show that code and would not allow her to perform a bake cycle. Tested the unit and found it operating at normal temps.

(CH) Arrived on site for cooktop burner flame being too high. Upon arrival we chef all burners for operation. The customer felt the burners weren?t low enough on the low setting. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Upon arrival disassembled unit and replaced the motor and timer. Reassembled and attempted to test unit but the problem remained unchanged. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Dave SR# 7731293877. He had me do a voltage check at the terminal block from L1 to neutral and press the push to start button. Found the voltage at 110 V when the unit was idle jump to 244 V when the push to start was turned on. He had me do the same check at the wall and did not find any voltage changes. He advised that based on that alone, the issue was with the power cord neutral dropping out and the customer we need to replace their power cord. Advised the customer of Techline?s findings. Call complete."

Arrived on site for CSI dw not dissolving detergent/not drying. Placed in diagnostics and got F1 E2. This was the only error code. Removed control and installed new control. Ran through full diagnostics cycle and dishwasher is running as designed. At end of diagnostics cycle dishwashers heating element was heating with water sizzling off element. No leaks detected. Arrived on site and inspected washer leaking underneath the unit. Customer advised the unit leaked all over her carpet and ruined it. I lifted the top to access the suspension portion of the machine and found a balled up sock in the recirculating dispenser that caused the water to overflow. Removed the sock and unit tested properly without any leaks. Job complete

"Arrived onsite for refrigerator not dispensing water or ice. Upon inspection I found the ice bin full of a solid block of ice. I also found the water dispenser would barely dispense water. I removed the filter and the water dispenser worked as designed. I installed a pressure reducer valve on the supply line but the issue remained. I put the unit into diagnostics and tested voltage going to the ice maker. I found 12VDC present at the harness to the IM but the ice maker would not respond to any of the tests in diagnostics. I also found correct voltage at the fill tube heater connector. I am ordering the ice maker, valves, and filter housing to complete the repair but advised the customer that the issue may be a faulty filter in the unit causing pressure issues within the water system of the unit. I also found the unit to be set to 41 in the RC and -3 in the FC so I charged it to the recommended temps. I checked temps and found the FC at 4?F, the RC at 39?F, and the IB at 34?F. I found no frost on either evap. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found the IB fan not running. I found all other airflow components as designed. I gained access to the control and measured VDC for the fan and found proper 12VDC coming in while in test 36. I then ohmd out the IM thermistor and found it at 8.8k (which is within range). This indicates a faulty ice box fan. Also will be replacing the control due to this being such an intermittent issue over the past year. Ordering the fan and the control. Arrived on site for a refrigerator leaking. Upon further inspection I found a drip from the filter housing were the water line connects. I found no other leak on the unit. I installed a new filter head housing and no more leak was preset at the end of service. Call complete.

"Arrived on site to test unit for not cooling. Found condenser pan had water with dye(took pic). Found system had no refrigerant. Found RC evap thermistor clip had torn through evap and was leaking(took pic). Replaced evap, vacuum system down and was loosing pressure somewhere. Ran refrigerant through system so leak may present itself. Applied bubbles and used UV light and was unsuccessful after multiple attempts to find leak from any solder joints, RC and FC evaps or any exposed lines. Every time system was charged and power was cycled with high and low side pressures stabilized at 65psi. High side would drop to 0psi after a few seconds. High side would slowly come down as usual and finally pull into a vacuum.

Arrived on site for a refrigerator that has a torn gasket. Inspected unit and work area. Confirmed customers complaint and replaced their right hand side refrigerator gasket. Adjusted the gasket to form a seal all the way around the unit and did advise the customer to allow the gasket to reform to her liking. I did advise it can take a little bit before the gasket is fully formed to the unit. The unit is now working as designed. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for the unit releasing left over gunk and some mildew floating up from under the tub and on the clothes. Looked at the unit and customer showed pictures of the left over mildew. Customer said they have just started using the affresh tablets and using what they can to keep the unit clean. Took the agitator off the unit and saw that the agitator needed to be cleaned and under the agitator as well. Parts were cleared by the customer. Put unit back together. No issues at this time. Arrived on site for Replace the carbon air filters--CUSTOMER WANTS THE WHOLE UNIT LOOKED AT TOO. Replace the carbon air filters. Customer had carbon filters on hand to install. Fastened one carbon filter to left side and it fit as designed. Customer wanted to install right side once they saw me do it. Both carbon filters are now in place. Once carbon filters were installed we tested the vent hood. Fan sounds normal to customer. Tested on all three speeds. Vent hood operating as designed. LEDS light up as designed. All functions are normal. Reinstalled customers grease filters. Job completed.

Arrived onsite for range with oven door glass issues. Upon inspection I found the inner glass panel had fallen down leaving a gap between the glass and liner. I disassembled the door and made sure everything was lined up correctly. After installing the door I found the outer panel is loose so I disassembled again. I was not able to figure why the glass is not securing tightly together but there are pieces of the frames that look warped. I am ordering parts for the door to return and complete the repair. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator ice maker not working and unit making loud noise. Upon further inspection, I found ice in the bin and customer advised that the ice maker arm is missing and it wont stop making ice. I tested the ice maker and it is operating as designed and the sensor arm is present and functioning. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the compressor and found the noise to be the condenser coils vibrating on the support bars underneath. I adjusted the bars and leveled the unit and the noise has stopped. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived onsite for unit not spinning the clothes out. Looked at the unit and noticed that the unit wouldn?t not spin but motor and and belt are all working correctly. Upon further inspection, found that the transmission has leaked out oil. Need to replace transmission and thrust bearing kit.

Arrived onsite for refrigerator not dispensing water or making ice. Upon inspection found frozen water reservoir. Thawed line and water dispensing was restored. Ice maker will take time to cycle. Please allow 24 hrs for ice production. Also manually adjusted refrigerator temperature to 39 degrees. If symptoms persist recommend returning with Control and thermistor. No leaks present at this time. Job complete

"Arrived on site to inspect range oven flames too high. Upon further inspection, I inspected the cooktop burners and found all burner flames were too high. Tested the bake burner and found its flame is too high as well. I inspected the regulator setting and it is correct sad the customer says theyre supply is NG. I inspected the orifices and found all are incorrect according to the tech sheet. I am ordering all cooktop orifices and orifice holders and a CNOTE-RESEARCH BAKE BURNER ORIFICE #49 and CNOTE-LSO PER CUSTOMER REQUEST/TRAINING. Arrived on site to test unit for oven not working. Test unit and found broken bake element. Replaced element . Test unit and unit test good job complete.

"Arrived on site for dishwasher not cleaning dishes. Inspected unit and work area. Performed diagnostics mode and found fault code 7-1 heating circuit interrupted and 4-3 motor fault. Monitored test cycle and found washer not activating. Mead voltage to motor and found failed sump assembly.Removed failed sump and installed new. Performed diagnostics mode and monitored test cycle. All tested good, no water leaks detected.
