REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRS325SDHZ04 "Arrived on site for refrigerator that’s making weird noises. Inspected unit and work area. Customer showed me a video of what she was hearing and it did not sound like anything I’ve ever heard of from any refrigerator. I placed the unit in service diagnostics and ran tests on the damper door, compressor, evaporator fan, condenser fan, and icemaker. All tests ran as designed. I inspected the back cover near the compressor and found a return line pushed up against the compressor. Pulled the return line away from the compressor. I called tech line and spoke to Chris SR# 7728127486. He advised the issue could have been corrected with the adjustment of the return line to the compressor being pushed away from the compressor. However, with us being unable to replicate the issue, the unit appears to be working as designed and to make no repairs."

While testing the log valve, I found that the cold water valve was not opening. I tested drain, spin and agitate and the unit operated as designed. Tilted the unit back and inspected and all checked good. I could not duplicate the loud squeaking noise the customer is hearing. I advised the customer of the cold valve issue and they advised that when washing on cold, it takes a long time to fill. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I removed the top panel and inspected the components. I tested the magnetron, transformer, fuse, and switches. Found all operating as designed. Found the connection to the magnetron loose and tightened the connection after ohming it out. Plugged the unit in and tested and it is heating. Reassembled the unit and placed it back in its space. Retested and it continues to operate as designed. Job completed. I used a set of screws at no charge due to screws being stripped from previous service."

Customer also advised the unit seemed to fill with too much water on her last load. She thought it would overflow. Please do an in-service diagnostics and found an F7 E5 (shifter fault) error code. I ran the unit through an auto test and manual high speed spin and heavy agitation. Unit ran as designed. Switched unit back and forth between spin and agitate and had no issues or grinding sound. I called Techline and spoke to Butch SR # 7728129063. He advised that if we could not replicate the issue, that there was no fix he saw on his side and to make no repairs. He advised it could have been an over loading issue but there no way to tell. Call complete"

WASHER MAYTAG MVWC200XW2 Arrived onsite for washer not going into rinse cycle. I checked the connectors and harnesses via the tech sheet and all looked good. I followed the tech sheet and tested the shifter connections at the main control. While the connector for the shifter was plugged in I was only getting 1.8v DC when I unplugged the connector I got a reading of 13v which is factory standard indicating a issue with the shifter. I went back underneath and inspected the shifter. I found a small black burn spot on the shifter. I replaced the shifter and unit is working as designed. If the issue persists then we will have to return with a control (W10480178) and the harness for the shifter (WPW10297445) in which case would require authorization. Job complete

Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error codes F6E0 & F1E5. I cycled the power to the unit and attempted to clear the codes, but the UI would not respond. I cycled power again and attempted to clear codes again and it failed. I tested the microwave for one minute with a cup of cold water and the turn table was moving both directions and the unit heated. Customer advised that the microwave was intermittent in heating.

Upon further inspection, customer advised the unit was full of ice and at the bottom of the ice, the bin was full of water and spilling over onto the floor. I found the unit on and was dispensing into the reservoir. I turned the unit off at the control and removed the reservoir plug to allow the water to drain and found the water would not drain. I pulled the unit to find the drain hose crimped and not allowing water to go through. The drain hose was a thick water hose. I removed the hose and attempted to adjust the hose, but the crimp had been there too long and when I blew the hose out, pieces of the internal hose came out. Using a drain hose from my van stock, I replaced the hose and tested and the unit is operating as designed. The drain is a gravity drain. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Upon further inspection, customer advised that the unit heated up to preheat, but when they went to check on their food, the unit was at 167 degrees and the food was cold. Using my multimeter, I placed my thermal lead in the center of the middle rack and tested on Bake at 350 degrees. The unit heated to preheat and afterwards, it continued to reignite. I tested for approximately one hour and the unit continued to operate as designed. I removed the bottom drawer and found the ignitor harness looped towards the front of the unit to where it could make contact with the drawer. I repositioned it and continued testing with the drawer in place and the unit continued to operate as designed. I advised the customer of my findings. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed."

I tested the each burner and all are operating as designed with no stray gas/flames coming up. I removed the drawers from underneath and using my liquid leak detector, I checked the regulator and all line connections and found no evidence of a leak. At the line coming in through the wall, I found a plastic washer and when I removed it, I could smell a strong odor of gas. I advised customer of my findings and advised that I believe the odor coming from the elbow connection or further in the wall due to when I removed the washer, the odor got worse. I double checked the regulator and line connections and continue to find no evidence of a leak. I recommended that the line coming in through the wall be checked.
