REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL ET8CHEXVQ00 Arrived on site for a refrigerator so I stopped previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Customer advised that their initial issue was with frost buildup of the evaporator cover and had asked about the seals around the freezer door. Inspected freezer gasket and found it sealing properly. Inspected evaporator cover and found the ice buildup not over the capillary tube or the return line at the evaporator. Spoke to SW and steamed off the ice buildup. Plugging it back in and let unit run for 10 minutes to check frost pattern. Found it was developing a perfect frost pattern but the evaporator fan was not running. Unit does not need sealed system repair but had an air flow issue. Replaced evaporator fan and tested unit. Unit is working as designed. Customer also had complained about black plastic flakes that were coming out of their icemaker. Replaced icemaker and tested unit. Unit began to fill and is working as designed. Call complete.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL GS5SHAXNB00 Arrived on site for refrigerator making a odd loud noise according to customer. Upon arrival I am mediately checked the evaporator fan motor to see if there any ice buildup or any signs of the motor starting to go bad and could not find anything to indicate the motor was not functioning properly. I also checked the compressor and the condenser coil as well as condenser fan motor and found that the compressor itself is overheating even though the condenser fan motor is running at the proper speed when I looked at the condenser coils I found that there was a thick layer of Lent going from front to back which then can lead to the compressor overheating and sometimes causing it to make a odd noise as its trying to pump the Freon through the unit. Due to the fact that other than the compressor overheating in the coolers being dirty I could not find any hardware failures that were causing the sounds. However the customer did ask if we could clean the coil

Upon further inspection I found that the breaker once again was tripped on the dryer and the customer stated that she was able to run the dryer prior after last trip but that eventually she found it wouldnt turn on again. I retested all heating hardware on back on dryer as well as the terminal connections, timer, wire harnessings, etc. at no point could I find any other problems with the dryer. I ran a test cycle checked for any voltage drops within dryer. I did find a drop in the 240v supply from the outlet at random times if I ran longer test cycles on dryer. Each time breaker would trip. Customer stated that a month before the dryer started goofing up the customer had installed a new ceiling fan and had some electrical work done to accommodate the fan and work and been done at the breaker box close to dryer in garage.
