Customers complaint is that the inner blue paint within cavity has turned into a roughly 4 1/2 inch cut along the interior of the part liner material. Spoke with whirlpool techline Sr#7729040377. Techline stated that blue paint is know to flake off and is a cosmetic item on range and does not affect the overall functionality of the oven itself. They did recommend (W10791627) blue paint that can be applied to cover the damaged areas.

I replaced the UI and main control. I vacuumed the system and it held a 30 psi vacuum. I charged the system with 5.5 oz’s of R134A and tested the unit. I had good pressures and a good frost pattern. Upon arrival and after inspecting the unit I found that underneath the washer where are the motor drain pump and coupling were were Caked in heat created damage stains. I found that the motor and pump were starting to overheat on one another and causing some issues which was causing the smoke to come up underneath the unit the way the customers were describing I found that because it is the coupling is also starting to wear down and was on the verge of breaking. found everything is now functioning as designed and there’s no longer a burning smell. When unit goes into spin you can hear bearings in gearcase making noise, but goes away when speed increases. Advised customer it will need a gearcase soon. I could not find another fault in diag mode. Told customer I can try and calibrate unit, but could not see any other issues and it may be due to Loading. Customer said to try and calibrate. Ran calibration cycle. Cycle did not complete. Drain comes on and runs and does not stop or progress. Based on this it seems the pressure sensor on the control is not reading properly.

Upon arrival I ran multiple tests back to back and took a few photos of the cooktop running by itself as well as the cooktop running with the oven on and at no point did I get the flames to turn solid orange the way the customers had shown us in prior photos before service trip. I then contacted whirlpool tech line and documented the issue a second time based off the test that whirlpool had us run while on site again. there was no indication that the cooktop is having a hardware issue causing orange flames. Whirlpool tech line has advised that the customers contact whirlpool customer service for any further questions and are stating that the orange flame issues due to a gas supply problem not a range issue that we can address. I ran a diagnostics test and found that the heater was good. I also found that when the FC evap fan was engaged it would emit a loud sound consistent with the blades hitting ice. I inspected the drain tub and found that it was clogged and had separated from the drain port allowing water to freely drip into the chassis and near the compressor and air to get up into the FC causing the frost. . I unclogged the drain tube and used adhesive to seal it to the port.

DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL WDF330PAHS3 Arrived onsite for dishwasher not drying and spray arm getting stuck on something while washing. Upon inspection I found the spray arm not seated all the way causing it to lean on one side and get stuck on the manifold tube while spraying. I corrected the spray arm and ran a diagnostics cycle. All functions passed including the heater. I explained the importance of using rinse aid and liquid detergent on this unit as well as purging cold water for optimal performance. Unit is working as designed at this time and no leaks detected during time of service. Job complete.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRS571CIHZ01 "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator freezing foo din the RC section. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=7 degrees & RC=38 degrees. Customer advised that food has been freezing on the top shelf for a long time and the unit makes noises. I found a sticker at the back of the RC seen that reads blocking air vents may cause uneven cooling and or food freezing on top shelf. I advised the customer of this sticker and recommended that they not push food items or containers all the way back against the back wall of the RC section and it blocks the airflow and any foods in direct line of the airflow will tend to freeze. I tested the diffuser and found it noisy. I removed and replaced the the diffuser and retested and it’s operating as designed. When the compressor comes on, the condenser coils rattle against the bottom panel of the chassis. I placed some pads in between the coils and bottom panel and the rattling stopped. No water leaks ob

I unplugged the unit and plugged it right back in and found the overload did trip one time and then the compressor started on the second try indicating there is some refrigerant in the system. I found the evaporator on the right side oxidized badly and I suspect a leak. I explained to the customer that the compressor and evaporator should be replaced.
