DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL MDB9959SKZ0 Arrived on site for dishwasher not draining and getting F9E1. I could hear something lodged inside the drain motor as it attempted to drain. I removed the bottom cover to ensure nothing looked wrong. I then wiggled the drain motor to see if I could hear anything inside. Ran diagnostics and after two seconds whatever was lodged in the drain motor went through to the sink drain. Tried looking for item in the sink but it was already gone. Ran diagnostics a second time and no error codes came up after drain motor is free and clear. Job completed.

Customer advised that she did notice there was ice chips coming from the icemaker when dispensing ice but also noticed that it was still leaking at the bottom front part of the liner even when the icemaker was turned off. Round bottom gasket not sealing properly on the liner causing frost buildup on the bottom part of the refrigerator and dripping onto the freezer bottom. Attempted to re-seal gasket and found gasket was pulling away from the liner. WASHER MAYTAG MHW5500FW Arrived onsite for washer not draining properly. Upon inspection and while in diagnostics I found a stored error code for long drain. I engaged the drain pump and it had a buzzing sound and I could tell it was having trouble pumping water to the drain in the wall. I accessed the drain pump and found a dryer sheet inside the pump filter. I reassembled the pump and re tested. The pump is now working as designed and no leaks were detected during time of repair.

WASHER MAYTAG MVWB765FW1 Arrived on site for washer that was not spinning the water out of the clothes all the way during every cycle according to customer. Upon arrival I ran a diagnostic check on the unit twice and the first summer rain and there are no error codes so I ran a test cycle to see how each individual phase of the washer was functioning. I found that during the low medium and high spin cycles the main control sending the proper voltage to the gear case and motor but if weight was applied to the washing machine in the tub then the gear case would not be able to spin the water out all the way.

I attempted to cancel it out, but the unit failed. I placed the unit in diagnostics and it showed error code F3E1, the same error ode from previous service. I cleared the code and attempted to continue with testing and the unit failed. Following the tech sheet, I tested the water level switch and it was good. I tested continuity to the harness and it was good and I tested VDC at the main control and got 5VDC. I replaced the sensor and attempted to test again and it continued to fail. I removed and replaced the main control and tested and the unit operated as designed. When the cold water valve was on, I found the water flow was very slow (F8E1 from previous service call). DRYER WHIRLPOOL WED5000DW2 Arrived onsite for a dryer that’s not getting the clothes dry unless multiple cycles are run and the vent has been cleared. I tested the dryer temp at the outlet with the vent removed on high heat and found the temp cycling between 129-174 degrees in a timely manner. I attached the flex vent hose and tested the temps finding the temperature dropping very slowly indicating the vent pipe in the home was still restricted. I found the roof cap almost completely plugged with lint and took a photo to show the customer. I referred the customer the dryer vent wizard to get the duct clean.

I found 5VDC to the console and it would not power up at first but after resetting power it came on but none of the selections or the speaker would work. I replaced the console and tested. I found the door lock not working. I tested the door lock and found voltage bleeding by from the control when it should have been 0VDC. The control will need to be replaced again. Upon further inspection of the door lock assembly I found the white wire in the harness bare at the molex connector by the control. I suspect this could be grounding out or causing excessive amperage causing the controls to fail. The lock needs to be replaced also. Spoke with customer and they explained they had a thunderstorm and that’s when it stopped working. Checked voltage and no power was coming into the oven. Replaced control and UI due to electric surge created inside the machine during thunderstorm. Customer will call an electrician to repair the breaker and oven should power up as designed. REFRIGERATOR KITCHENAID KRMF706ESS01 Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice and water leaking from the ice bucket. Upon arrival ms stated the unit started working again. Ms stated the FC was cold and the icemaker was making ice again. I checked the FC temp and found it reaching set point. I found the ice bin full of ice. Ms stated when the issue happened the product in the FC started sweating and the ice in the ice bucket started melting. I tested the thermistors and all the fans and found them all working as designed. I ran service test 4 and found the unit working as designed. I power cycled the unit to reset all the controls and to see how the unit would respond and found that after the unit powered up the FC went into a short defrost. I advised the customer to get some thermometers to put in the compartments to monitor the actual temperatures. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRT318FZDM05 Arrived onsite for refrigerator tripping breaker intermittently. Upon inspection I found the unit correctly operating with correct temps and making ice. I tested the windings at the compressor and amp draw. All tests passed. I unplugged the start device and plugged it back in and the compressor or condenser would not come on. I found no voltage coming from the unit to the start device but voltage going in from the wall. I accessed the control box and pushed on the compressor relay connector and the compressor and condenser powered on. DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL WDT710PAHZ1 Arrived onsite for dishwasher with green flickering light at beginning of wash cycle. Upon diagnostics I found the unit working as designed. I explained that the light will flash if the door is left open for an amount of time during the wash cycle and you have to hold start to re engage the unit to wash. I noticed the door falling and I found a hinge spring had come detached. I reattached. I advised customer to keep an eye on the unit over the next few weeks and if the green light begins to flicker mid cycle without leaving the door open it will most likely need a control and console. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that when the unit was delivered and plugged in, it began to make a loud noise coming from the compressor. I plugged the unit in and after a few minutes, the compressor ramped up to max speed and began to make a loud vibration noise. I advised the customer that it was normal and would stop once the fridge compartments were cooled. After approximately 15-20 mins, the noise stopped. Also found the nameplate badly damaged. DISHWASHER WHIRLPOOL WDF310PLAW1 "Arrived on site for dishwasher that was not allowing water to drain out properly. Upon arrival I found drain lines were ok clear and customer had stated she had run the dishwasher a few times since previous visit and that sometimes the unit seemed to drain ok and other times it wouldn’t. I tested voltage to drain pump from PCB. It drain pump was receiving a stable 120v. I ran 2 test cycles and noticed the drain pump sounded like something was rattling in it. I drain and cleared what water had accumulated in the sump area and disconnected the drain pump itself from the sump. I found no debri of any kind within the exposed sump or drain. I ran a third test and found unit drain fine on third test but still making the same rattling noise. WASHER SAMSUNG WF405ATPASU/A2 Arrived on site for washer that was leaking whenever in use and upon arrival customer stated that the more clothes they tried to wash and the bigger the loads the moral of water would leak out. Upon arrival I ran a diagnostic check on the Samsung and cannot find any error codes indicating any hardware software failures but when I disassembled the front drain pump compartment door I found there’s a lot of rust around the mounting bracket of the drain pump and then inspected drain pump area and found that one of the pressure hoses that goes to the bottom of the drain and tub work area have fallen lose off on its mounting brackets and landed on the drain pump which then caused it to melt a hole through the hose. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRX988SIBM03 "Arrived on site for refrigerator not making ice and temperatures in fresh food compartment not keeping to temp. Upon arrival I found the all fans and compressor running. Customer stated ice cream had softened some prior to cooling issue in ff compartment and that ice maker had stopped making ice as well prior to cooling issue. Upon inspection of the fresh food section I found a thick layer of ice forming around the evaporator compartment. I found unit was having a miscommunication between the main Ui control and defrost thermistors in the ff compartment. I was able to complete repairs and ran a diagnostic to verify no new problems were occuring. Unit had no errors, the 3 way valve and compressor as well as condenser fan motor all worked in conjunction with each phase they were activated and both evap coils as well as the fans were running and distributing healthy frost patterns. Unit working as designed call complete"
